I went to Johnson Marine and spoke with the owner *** *** about replacing my steering cable on my boatHe gave me a price of $and said he would have it ready in about a weekTwo weeks went by and I got a call from his secretary Friday evening at 7pm that it was readyShe said I owed them $which was twice as much as they said it would bethe next morning she texted me that they would charge me $per day if I didn't come pick it up within daysMonday she texted me again and said again that they would start charging me $the next day (Tuesday) which was only the 4th dayI went there to get my boat *** *** denied telling me it would only be $Before I knew it his worker and the secretary got verbally hostile with me and threatened me with their lawyer , the county sheriff, their family member (local county Judge) called me names and cussed me out, I have a witness and a recording that I got from a hidden device which I will copy and attach to my complaint if needed
This company was very disrespectful, unprofessional, they lied to me, and gave me no warranty on the labor or the partsafter researching other companies I found that the $dollar range was a fair price, but I was tricked by the old bait and switch routine, (week $vsweeks $1000) had *** *** been honest and told me in the beginning what the cost would be I would have had the option to junk the old boat as I had mentioned to him or taken it somewhere else
