Hired this company to install a vinyl floor in the kitchen of my home. Areas of my home were damaged. The installation is is well below standards.[redacted]. The workers drove a 30 year old van to my home and leaked oil on my drive way. The van had no business sign, the workers had no ID or uniforms. This company claims 30 years in business but does not have even the basics in place. The damage done to my home will cost me more to repair than the installation of the vinyl floor. The floor they installed has rips, bubbles and glue all over it. Nails from thresh holds by the adjoining rooms all had to be pounded down after they left. They broke my dryer vent. They got glue on the brick by my front door. They scuffed the walls all through the kitchen. They stained my garage floor by placing the toilet in there and allowed the blue dye to leak on the newly painted floor. The workers spoke little to no English so I was unable to speak to them. They place my unplugged refrigerator on the family room carpet for 4 hours with nothing under it. They did not use drop cloths for walking in and out of my home and had the floor filthy. They leaned doors against freshly painted walls. This list goes on and on. I have had many things done to my home and never had a problem. This company is lucky to be in business. They have horrible customer service and the workmanship is real sorry. When I spoke with the owner instead of offering to fix the issues he threatened to come remove the floor. A manager that came to my home told me he couldn't believe the bad job and that he would be "much angrier than I am if it was his home" Much more to add. Contact me for further details. We had the floor installed then had a baby so we were not home for a few days and that it why it took a little while to identify all the issues. Like the hole in the bad board behind the washer/dryer and the rip in the vinyl by the dryer.Desired SettlementI don't know if this company is capable of repeating the horrible work they did. They can't be trusted.Business Response We were hired by the client to install vinyl flooring in his home.On 11/30 we quoted the client what the job would cost based on his selection. On 12/2 the client came in to pick out from our inventory the vinyl in our warehouse. On 12/13 the job was to be installed at the clients homeon 12/13 the morning of the install, we received a call from the client that our installers were at his home and had parked a 30 year old van on his driveway and it was leaking oil and he had just had it power washed. We called our crew and asked them to remove the van off his driveway. We sent the sales person who had worked with this client to the job site to check customer's concerns. The van was already off driveway when salesman arrived and stated he saw no oil. The salesman stated that the client was upset about the van and the workers. Client also told salesman that he had not used his lawyer in awhile. Upon arriving back to the store we knew that client was not happy. The job was completed that day and because the client was not happy the sales person went back to inspect the job and discuss any issues. Our salesman reported back on the next morning the upon arriving at job customer was still upset but upon leaving customer stated job was good except the blue dye on concrete in garage and our salesman offered to clean up. We felt all was good.On 12/17 client called in and left msg that he had issues with job but did not want the salesman that worked with him involved anymore. The owner then returned call to client and was told about concerns of which was told we would address issues and take care of them. Manager was off but upon returning we would go out and see issues and resolve. Client stated that we was expecting a bby and would call us. We explained that we would call in Monday 12/23 and Mgr would inspect to look at issues and resolve. On 12/21 client called back and spoke with owner and discussed additional concerns and issues and was told we would call and set up time whenever it was a good time to go and look at issues. Client stated his family had just had a baby and it was not good time. We asked what about Mon 12/23 and client stated that it was Christmas and he could not do them and we asked about Dec 24 and he stated that is was Christmas Eve and did not want us there. So we asked about after Christmas and 12/26 and client stated that he goes back to work then and did not know if that would be good so we asked for him to call us and we would set up a time to go and look at issues and try to resolve. Client then stated that he had found other issues and we told him we would take care of them. Client stated that he had floor replaced because of issues and did not want a fix, so we stated if there are tears and issues we would replace. Client then asked what would my manager be driving when he came to his house and would he take of his issues and we stated that he would assess issues and concerns and client continued to express concerns and so we offered to come and remove flooring and give him him a full refund. Client then stated that we were not going to come remove flooring and give refund just to get even. At that point we left it that after Christmas to give us a call and our manager would go to his home and we would resolve. We have returned every call and have offered to resolve his issues. We are no means a perfect company but we are fair and we pride ourselves in trying to do the very best with our clients. Our installers are trained and qualified to do every job that is put before them. We are sorry that this client has an issue with our company.Final Consumer Response Being that it is the holidays things are a little slower. Once I am able to get estimates for all of the damage at my home I will be able to move forward with my attorney. The floor will need to be removed among numerous other issues that we have before and after video/pictures on hand. We are selling our home so we have new photos of every room along with the contractor that just painted the garage and kitchen for us to verify the state of before the vinyl floor was installed. This is a joke. I'm not letting this go, they are unprofessional and they do terrible work. I will pass the word around for certain. Once I have a final total of what cost I incur I will be sure it is delivered to them myself.Final Business Response Our response is that again we are sorry that the client was not happy with the vinyl floor installation job that was done by our company . As we mentioned we do not claim to be perfect but we do pride ourselves in taken care of any issues that our customers bring to us. We have offered to go back and assess and resolve the issues the two times that the client called after we installed. The client has not called us back to resolve. Again we are sorry that the client is not happy.
