The Texas Boot Company is aware that Mr [redacted] is exploring other options We stand firm in our position that while it is unfortunate that Mr [redacted] thought he could get a pair of $boots for $+ shipping, it was an error, and we are not bound to honor mistakes that are unintentional

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: I was advised that we should look at other options.
Regards,

Mr*** completed a transaction on our website at a time when an error repriced 90% or more of our website offers to $ He was charged shipping, which was refunded We took the site offline as soon as we noticed the error We explained to Mr*** that we were not
going to process his transaction and that no reasonable person would rightly assume that a $offer on a $product was a valid offer.State law allows for mistakes to happen in advertising This was a mistake that any reasonable person would know was not an actual offer Mr*** stated that he had researched our site, and that since I (the owner) was as a former military officer, I should have the integrity to 'honor' the transaction and claimed that we could be penalized for advertising at a fine of $2,per incident He took the screen shot of the website It appears that he believed he had a 'Gotcha' moment We're not interested in conducting business with customers that are not interested in fair transactions, but instead are looking to catch us making mistakes and profit from them We run a fair business We are a small business, and we have mouths to feed and employees who have their own families and bills to pay We are not going to be intimidated by someone who merely wants to take advantage of a mistake that was quickly rectified
The Revdex.com exist to champion a fair market, not to help unscrupulous individuals take advantage and profit from unfortunate mistakes Texas law requires no action on our part Had there been a reasonable issue or question about the price, we would certainly lend an ear to the customer's concerns However, Mr*** should have known full well that a $offer was not a valid offer One of our employees lost his job because of the mistake Certainly, there was no intent to deceive, and the only ill-intent is coming from an unscrupulous consumer wanting to get something for nothing
We would appreciate the Revdex.com to disregard this complaint as a frivolous and void of any merit, his ask is not consistent with any definition of fair trade

The Texas Boot Company is aware that Mr. [redacted] is exploring other options.  We stand firm in our position that while it is unfortunate that Mr. [redacted] thought he could get a pair of $489.99 boots for $0 + shipping, it was an error, and we are not bound to honor mistakes that are unintentional.
