Dear Mr. & Mrs [redacted],I am responding to the complaint lodged against our company with the Revdex.com. I apologize for our tardiness, as we have only received your complaint yesterday (1/7/16). In regards to your complaint, we feel we have given you the best possible...

service, expert advice and pricing for the particular issue that you have been experiencing with your water heater. At our last service call on 10/14/15, our Service Manager Nick L[redacted] explained & recommended installing an expansion tank & new relief valve (under warranty) for a reduced price of $385, which was a discount of 30%. This price was reduced even though you had not carried a service agreement on your equipment with our company. A standard water heater, which is the type that we installed for the previous owner of your home in 2010, does not normally include a thermal expansion tank because problems that require this extra equipment are intermittent and neighborhood/house dependent. In October of last year, our highly-qualified Service Manager explained to you that water pressure readings were taken at the tank with all water off in the house. The reading was 80 psi. When the water was then turned on, the pressure rose to 150 psi. Pressure relief triggers at 100 psi, which is normal. At 150 psi, the pressure become to high and causes water to drip. A standard water heater is only designed to handle 40-60 psi. The only way to fix this issue is to add an expansion tank. In mid-November, after one months time had passed, you declined our expert advice to add the expansion tank & replace the the relief valve under warranty. At this time we feel that Anderson Heating - Cooling has done everything we can for you in good faith.Sincerely,Wendy P[redacted]Office Manager

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me on one condition, if they guarantee that their solution will solve the problem and will not cause any other problems with the unit.  If after fixing it according to their diagnostic, the problem existed or other problems arised because of what they did, they will be responsible to fix that at their cost.  Paying almost $200 to fix a unit that worth $600, is a lot of money and doesn't make sense to keep paying.  Please keep a note of this as this will be the last money we will ever pay for this unit.  We almost paid more than half price of the unit they put for us.  They should inspect their products prior to selling them.  As I mentioned before, the leaking was going on since the first year of installation and they kept pushing it away telling us it is normal.  Please do not close this complaint until we are all good and the issue is actually solved.
Regards,
[redacted]
