We are not willing to refund any money to this customer for exterior repair work that was completed all the way back in 2013 ! We did offer to re-repair three areas for this customer for free though... but did not have time on our very busy schedule right now to do it for them in...

time for them to sell their home. We could have still helped them  if they had been able to give us more lead time notice on getting the work done in time for their closing on their home. We do not have a 5 year warranty on repairs done on exterior work and we are sorry about any misunderstanding . We don't know of any company that can offer a 5 year warranty on exterior repair work here in Indiana due to cold snowy winters and lots of rain and hail. Again very sorry about the misunderstanding.

Revdex.com:
I have not yet received the $200 that Mr. Canull claims to have mailed. I also find that his response was not accurate. We cancelled the job once because the highs were going to be in the 30s on the scheduled date. Mr. Canull told us during the estimate that as long as the weather was above 40 degrees he could do the exterior paint. When we did tell him we would not be rescheduling with him, my husband explicitly asked him if he had bought supplies for our job. He said that he had not. It has been more than three months since he cashed our check. And more than two months since we have asked for a refund. Unacceptable.

The remaining $200 owed to customer was mailed to them early last week.  We will send a duplicate payment if they do not receive it by this next coming week.  The customer did cancel this work with our company on two different occasions and we did have some materials that we...

had purchased for this job . We lost time and money in the time we spent doing the original estimate and we also lost 4 days of work due to their cancelation . They had explained to us that they decided to do the work themselves , to save the money.

The refund was sent to this customer last week . If they do not receive it by this weekend we will stop payment on it and issue another. As we had stated previously we incurred a loss on some materials that we had purchased , lost estimation and scheduling time,  as well as days of work / income lost when they decided to cancel this job. They had indicated to us that they wanted to save money and do the work themselves and that is the main reason that they canceled the job ;  i.e. to save the money.  They had also not canceled the job when the temps were in the 30's but instead had postponed it and rescheduled the work with us at that point.

There are so many inaccurate statements in this customers complaint that we are going to refer this to our attorney .

We have referred this complaint to our attorney due to all the issues involved including mold that we found in the home while working there, insurance claim issues filed by this customer and numerous times that our work was interrupted by being asked to stop work due to insurance claim issues and...

water damage that we also found in the home that we did not cause. We did NOT cause any water damage or mold problems in this home. We will be sending this customer a partial refund settlement agreement though since we were forced to stop work on the home due to the pre-existing EXTENSIVE mold damage that we discovered.

We are sorry that this customer was not happy with the way the ceiling repair looked after it dried. We did however go through the house with the customer the day that we finished this job and the customer inspected all the work that we had completed. They then said that there was a spot in one...

room that looked as though it had been missed with paint. We looked at it with the customer and explained that it had not been missed with paint and that it was simply an area that looked like it had been missed but upon closer examination it was actually a shadow on the wall that made it look like it was a different shade. They looked closer and agreed with us on this issue. They then said there was some paint on their floor in a couple places. We then removed the paint from the floor right then to be sure that they were satisfied and they said that they were. We then looked at the kitchen ceiling and it looked acceptable to them( at that time) so they went ahead that day and paid us in full for the work that we had completed . They seemed to us to be completely satisfied with the finished product that day and then they paid us in full for the completed work. They asked us to look at the outside of the house too , suggesting that they may have us paint it for them next spring because they were happy with our work. The customer then called us to say that the drywall work that we completed on their ceiling had dried and cracked and did not look the same way it did the day that we had finished the work. The customer did NOT tell us at that point that they were unhappy with any paint that was on their floor / furniture or that they were unhappy with the paint job that we did on their ceilings but did mention the way the ceiling had dried and cracked where we had repaired the ceiling. We told them that we would come back to look at the ceiling and put another texture coat on it for them no charge. Unfortunately two of our workers had two weeks off from being able to work because of the flu and we were behind on other jobs due to holiday breaks and bad weather. We were not able to get back to their house to look at the ceiling quick enough for the customer so they went ahead and submitted this complaint. They also did not say that the small amount of debris that came off of our tarps that landed on their grass was a problem otherwise we would have picked it up that day .  Since they were not willing to wait for us to have the workers and the time to get back to their ceiling issue , we will offer a refund of $150 so that they can have someone else retexture the ceiling ....the hard part of the ceiling repair has already been completed by us in that we removed the old damaged drywall and reinstalled a new piece already and now it will not take much time to retexture the small 2 ft by 2 ft area that they say needs attention. We do not feel that a refund is due on the other areas that they claim needed more work for two reasons   1) we were not able to return to their house to see the questionable areas that they mentioned  and 2) we walked through the entire job with them the day that we did the work and they said at that time that it was completed to their satisfaction ...again we are sorry that we could not get back to look at their complaints in time to satisfy this customer
