Hi *** - I previously filed a report with the Revdex.com about a contractor who disappeared and stole our deposit money from a home renovation job When I filed before, the contractor responded and we made an agreement for him to return and do the work we had paid/contracted with him for He has since disappeared again, the work still incomplete Is there a way for me to reopen the previous complaint, and if so, how do I do that (Complaint #***)?Thank you for all of your help!*** ***

The timing was also during a peak in...

business for us during what is usually  a slower period and the culmination of the holiday fervor, a labor shortage, and subsequent blues got the better of us both mentally and spiritually. There was no deliberate intent to deceive and, perhaps in haste, the client understandably did what he thought was best, but has subsequently thought better of it virtue of our extenuating circumstances and subsequent communication. This was a very unique situation, has since been resolved, and the work has gone forward to completion in addition to proposals for additional work. Review: We contracted with Johnston Woodworking on November 10, 2015 to construct and install a fireplace, mantle, built in cabinets, and built in shelves in our Living Room. We gave a deposit of $2925 (50%) for work, which was due to be completed no later than December 21, 2015.

The contractor accepted deposit, began work, and then abandoned the job. He left our home in dangerous condition, did not complete the majority or work, and has made no contact nor responded to any attempts at communication since February 1.

We are seeking a full refund of money and hope that future consumers can be warned of Johnston Woodworking's fraudulent business practices.Desired Settlement: We would like a full refund, revocation of the contractor's licence, and monetary compensation for the cost required to undo the unfinished work from the contractor.
