I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Review: Went and got an oil change done, got in my car and stunk like feces. Drove off and my car didn't seem right, was making a noise. Pulled over didn't see anything. Got to my destination and noticed a bolt in my back passenger tire. Brought it back and they put a plug in it, they wouldn't replace my tire when I just purchased these tires not even a year ago. They should be held responsible to replace the tire and not temporary fix itDesired Settlement: Replace the tire since it happened on their property

Business

Response:

The business has responded. Please see below:On 10/**/15 [redacted] came to are service dealership for and oil and filter change. That was at 9:40 a.m. and at 1:01 p.m. the customer returned and stated that she has a bolt in here tire. We brought the car back in the shop and repaired the tire at no charge. We do not charge any of are customers to plug a tire and do it as goodwill. However we do inspect the tire closely before repairing the tire to make sure that the hole is small enough to repair and that it is in the center of tire and not close to sidewalls. I'm sorry she had a hole in her tire and I do not know where she got the bolt ( it was a small self tapping screw). I called the phone number you provided to talk with customer twice in hopes to solve this problem, but have not reached her and didn't receive a call back as of 11/**/15.So I will try again however I did want to respond to this before dead line. I checked are records and she did not buy the tires from us because all tires we sell hav e road hazard for two years from date of purchase.

Review: 3,000 miles ago I took my 2013 Toyota Tacoma for my third oil change(15,000 mile scheduled maintenance) to Johnston's Toyota and they did not change the engine oil. When I brought it to their attention, they said the oil change should be done every 10,000 miles. Called Toyota Care and they confirmed the oil change on my vehicle should be done every 5,000 miles. Johnston's Toyota contacted me and asked me what they could do for me. I told them I wanted an extended warranty on my vehicle because they did not follow the manufacturer maintenance guide. They have not gotten back to me yet.Desired Settlement: extended warranty

The business has responded, please read below.

To whom it may concern;

In regards to complaint ID [redacted] for [redacted], 2013 Toyota Tacoma, I did research this and we completed the 15,000 mile service on March **, 2014 RO # [redacted]. Upon reviewing, the customer is correct that the oil should have been changed at the 5,000 mile interval. Out of all of the models and different engines that Toyota produces, there are only 2 models that fall in this category; the 4 cylinder Tacoma and the Tundra 3UR-FBE engine. All of the other models that use synthetic oil are on 10,000 interval services. I am sure this was a mistake by my service writer and they should have taken the time to research. However, we did do a service in which we inspect and top off all fluids, a tire rotation, and a multi-point inspection. I would be happy to do free synthetic oil and filter change for this mistake. The customer did come back on June **, 2014 for the 20,000 mile service interval, everything was fine at that time and the full service was completed. The vehicle comes with a power train warranty until 5 years or 60,000 miles from the date of first use. With that said, I see no need to supply the customer with an extended warranty covering the vehicle. However, I would be happy to do the synthetic oil change service at no charge and at the customer’s convenience.

Sincerely,
