Paid for $500 for roof leak repairs. When the repair failed I was billed $75 to "repair" it again. I paid $500 to replace a few shingles and repair two nail holes. On the first significant rain after the repair, approximately six months, I noticed one of the leaks had not been repaired. I called Jolly and they came out to re-repair the leak. The same technician came out both times. He remembered "fixing" the leak the first time. A few days later I got a bill for $75. I called Jolly and expressed that I didn't feel I owed the $75 as it should have been fixed the first time. I was told someone would be in touch. I never got a call until I received a call from collections regarding the $75. I explained that I had called and was told I would be receiving a call from a representative to discuss the bill. I never received that call. I did get a past due bill with a threat of passing my bill over to a collections agency. I also received another call from collections. I have paid the $75. I do not feel I should have had too. I never got an explanation of the warranty, only a letter saying that if I didn't pay that my warranty may be voided. I called again and still have not received a return call. I expect when I hire a known contractor to pay more for a repair. I expect that repair to work. If said repair does not work I expect it to be made right. Desired SettlementI would like a refund of the $75.

Jolly will not repair a re-occurring leak even tho it's the same leak they "repaired" on 4 occasions that started under the warranty period last yearI had a new roof installed 5/10/2006 by Jolly Roofing and Contracting Company of [redacted], TN; My warranty expired on 5/10/2013. I called Jolly to have 3 roof leaks repaired on 1/14/13, including one over the half bath. After several attempts to get someone to take a look,[redacted], a Jolly representative, arrived and "repaired" the leaks on 3/12/13. On 4/11/13, the water again leaked through the roof and into the half bath. On 4/29/13,[redacted] again returns to "repair" the leak. On 5/3/13, the very same leak reappeared after a heavy rain. On 5/7/13,[redacted] once again returns to "repair" the leak. About 6 months later on 11/15/13, the leak (in the very same spot) reappears and I called Jolly. On 11/21/13[redacted] returned and "repaired" the roof for the fourth time. On 6/30/14, I observed leaks again in the very same spot in the half bath, again causing staining. I spoke with [redacted] about the issue and he said he would take a look at the history and get back with me. He also noted that Jolly was no longer in the residential side of the roofing business. On 7/15/13, [redacted] told me the warranty would not cover this leak, even though it was in the very same spot. He offered to send a roofer out to take a look and then we can decide what direction to go in from there. I called [redacted] on 7/24/14 to inquire about the roofer coming to take a look, since I had not heard nor seen anyone looking at the roof. On 7/28/14, a roofer named "[redacted]" took a look and said he would report back to [redacted]. On 8/7/14, a second roofer ([redacted]) came out to look at the roof. On 8/28/2014, I called [redacted] and left a message to find out what his roofers had concluded after looking closely at the roof. As of this writing (8/29/2014), I have not heard back. I contacted another well known roofing contractor to give me a "service bid" on the leaking situation that was not repaired by Jolly. To be fair, I did not mention the issue I'm having with Jolly Roofing regarding this situation. Their written report, which I have a copy, shows "there is a leak on the back of the home due to wall not being sealed correctly and butt joints in adjacent shingles are too close together".My roof continues to leak IN THE SAME PLACE after 4 attempts to stop the water with "repairs". Jolly Roofing and Contracting Company is unwilling to correct the very problem I believe it created through poor installation and/or repeated "repairs". I cannot help but wonder if Jolly did not follow the shingle manufacturer's instructions when installing my roof. I do know I would like to get the situation resolved so that there is no longer any water coming through my roof in the same location and creating more damage to my ceiling.Desired SettlementJolly Roofing needs to remove and replace this section of the roof that continues to leak in the exact same spot. Business Response Jolly Roofing and Contracting will coordinate repairs with Mr.[redacted].

Failure to repair leaks during warranty period. [redacted] Roofing was aware of material / workmanship defects and did nothing to provide a permanent fix.During warranty period, Jolly made more than 11 repair visits with no permanent results. Their business strategy appears to be just to wait out the warranty period thinking the customer would just give up. Homeowner has found rusted nails loose on surface or ground for years. These rusted nails were either made from defected material or rusted prematurely as a result of improper installation of shingles not providing a proper drain pattern. As a result, the roof continues to leak at multiple locations, with new leaks being frequently discovered. The home now needs a complete roof replacement (including the removal of two layers of shingles) after less than 8 years from installation date. As a 30 year shingle was purchased from Jolly, consumers would have the right to expect the roof, including materials, to provide quality effectiveness for at least 25 years or more. 2nd quality issue....Due to additional improper installation, homeowner had to replace outside all dormer wallboards and trim boards (second story) that where actually touching the shingles that were installed by Jolly without the necessary gapping. This damage resulted in $5,100 in repairs to the homeowner.Desired SettlementRequesting that Jolly Roofing replace the entire roof and provide a leak-free house for a continuous 3-year period.Business Response Jolly Roofing & Contracting will extend customer's warranty for 5 more months.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Jolly Roofing has been aware of the leaking problem for years and have yet to provide a permanent, lasting repair. Their motive has been to IGNORE THE CAUSE OF THE RE-OCCURING PROBLEM AND TO SIMPLY OUT-WAIT THE WARRANTY PERIOD. By accepting their 5 month extension, I have no reason to believe the repairs will last...after all, they have made more than a dozen repairs in the last two and one-half years alone. Even repairs made during the last 9 months are again leaking. Jolly has been given many opportunities to honor their warranty against "FAULTY MATERIAL AND WORKMANSHIP" and to protect their reputation. I need a fair and reasonable long-lasting solution from Jolly Roofing and Contracting.Final Business Response The customer's original warranty expired on 3/31/2013. Jolly Roofing will extend the customer's warranty through 9/25/2014.

Incompleted repaired damages outside due to failed roofing that produced water damage. Business would not return repeated telephone calls to completeThe roof was replaced by Jolly Roofing in 2012 with signed contract for 7 years. Water damage was discovered at outside paint deterioration late in 2013 or early 2014. Telephoned the company describing damage, and worker appeared on roof soon after without notifying before or after that he was on site. (I happened to hear him and then see him.)Several more telephone messages followed unanswered asking for completion of damages to paint erosion caused by leaking roof. No responses to our calls. Finally, telephoned again 6/12/2014 to obtain insurance information in order to get repair completed. [redacted] said she didn't know insurance carrier. Asked her to speak to owner, [redacted], who she says never comes to office. She seemed unconcerned about the ongoing problem, but said again she would have someone call us back.Desired SettlementWe would like the badly damaged outdoor painted area restored to it's original perfect condition, which had just been repainted the year prior by a licensed and registered painter who can replace damaged wood associated with the roof leak.Business Response On 7/1/14 Jolly Roofing and Contractings superintendent ([redacted]) and foreman ([redacted]) went to Mrs. [redacted] house at 7am for the arranged appointment time. The purpose of this appointment was to investigate source of paint damage and determine if there is an existing roof leak. Upon arrival Mrs.[redacted] told [redacted] and [redacted] they are not to get on the roof and to leave she will fix the problem herself. There have been multiple rain events with no report of leaks from the [redacted]. If there is a reported leak industry standard requires us to be able to investigate the source of the leak and advise the customer of what action we will take. We were not allowed to do this.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The responses each time from the business was unacceptable in its tenor. The business seemed to suggest that our complaint was not credible and insinuated from their repairs prior to total roof replacement that somehow those previous repairs had some relationship to the completely new existing leak after roof replacement. Why would have they initially attempted to repair that leak spot after roof replancement to now say it was a prior event?? Nothing made logical sense to us. Therefore, we didn't want them back on our property and roof to possibly cause more damage and create more ongoing denial of responsibility. [redacted], rude manner altogether and left property not leaving in original state. 30 years with absolutely no leak on porch ceiling and surround until AFTER total roof removal and replacement can only reach one conclusion, and the company was unwilling to accept the facts.Final Business Response Jolly Roofing and Contracting needed to assess where the leak was located. In order to do this we needed access to the roof. The home owner agreed to this when the appointment was set and then denied access once we were on site. No determination can be made with out investigating the source of the leak.

No communication, work not completed properly, not showing up when scheduled, bad customer serviceI hired Nightwine Construction to do a renovation on an investment property I purchased. He had Jolly Roofing come out to inspect the roof and propose the work that needed to be done to get the roof in 100% condition as well as provide a timeline on when the work would be completed. They were scheduled to come out multiple times and never showed up which delayed the completion of the job and cost me thousands of dollars in lost revenue. After finally showing up and supposedly completing the work, I still had a pretty bad leak that occurred when it rained. When asking to have the leak repaired, I was told it wasn't in the original scope of work even though the original scope of work was supposed to include everything that needed to be done to get the roof 100%. After some back and forth, they agreed to come look at the issue and 'try' to fix it. The same thing occurred with people saying they were coming and never showing up. I finally had to call the manager directly just to get someone out there. They came and, again, supposedly fixed the issue. Fast forward a few months, we have a hard rain and the same leak occurs but much, much worse. I call them on Friday, March 11, 2016 around noon and was told they wouldn't be able to get to it until Monday because we just had 12 inches of rain and they were really busy. Monday rolls around and I hear nothing. I go by the building to check on things and find out the leak has gotten worse. There is mold on the walls and the sheetrock, floors and baseboards (all brand new) were damaged. I take and send pictures that evening (Monday, March 14, 2016) and receive an immediate response stating they will look into first thing the next morning. Thursday, March 17, 2016 rolls around and I still haven't heard anything so I call another company who comes out right away and starts addressing the issue only to find out the leak was never addressed and water was pouring like a waterfall down my walls from the roof. I email Jolly Roofing to let them know I think the way they do business is awful and that I've found someone else to do the job. I receive a snarky, unprofessional response saying he's glad I found someone else to do the job and that I was on the schedule. Since when do businesses schedule service calls and not tell the person who they are supposed to be meeting? Not only do I not believe they planned to come out, they have a track record of not showing up when they are scheduled anyway and the lack of communication is just astounding with these people. The excuse for the delay was we just had 12 inches of rain. That does not give you a reason to not communicate with me and tell me when you plan to come address the issue. I was left in limbo wondering if they were going to ever show up. I paid them $13,750 to repair my roof which was not properly repaired. I am now having to pay another company to do the work they were supposed to do and will have to get a lawyer involved for damages. It's insane that businesses like this exist. My point of contact on this job was Mike Sebastian. Someone should teach him how to stay in communication with his customers. I will be getting my money back.Desired SettlementI want the money back that I paid them to repair my roof. I have four leaks in areas where they supposedly did patch work (evidenced by markings of their very own), one of which is very bad and caused mold and other damage to floors and walls that I had just replaced and renovated.Business Response Contractor contacted [redacted] to review her concerns. Contractor has worked out a resolution with the customer.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)Contractor was very polite and apologized for the matter. Attorney advised not to pursue based on time and cost involved. Contractor made a goodwill gesture that he did not have to do in order to try and make things right.

Jolly Roofing fails to honor their roofing warranty. Many calls, no results for Jolly RoofingJolly Roofing installed a new roof on my home on or about February 16, 2009. Two years latter, I discovered a leak in the roof, which caused damage to my home. I called Jolly Roofing and they came out and stated that they had repaired the leak. I had to pay to have the damaged wood trim repaired by another company. On October 4, 2014, my painters noticed water damage to the wood trim, which was the exact same spot that Jolly Roofing stated they repaired. On October 4, 2014, I notified Jolly Roofing in writing about the roof leak, which is Covered by their written Warranty.I have called - faxed and emailed Jolly Roofing requesting Warranty repairs many times, but they refuse to send anyone to my home to make the necessary repairs. Desired SettlementI am requesting that Jolly Roofing make all the necessary repairs to my roof to stop the water leaks, which is covered by their written warranty, which I have. Jolly Roofing is responsible to provide new roofing materials and make repairs at once, without any additional delays.Business Response Based on Mr. Baldridges statement the leak appears to be behind the gutter. As per his warranty it is important that he do periodic inspections to identify any issues. Jolly Roofing will investigate the source of the leak. If the leak is roof related we will make the necessary repairs to stop the leak. This has been previously communicated to Mr. [redacted].Consumer Response November 4, 2014 - Jolly Roofing send their repairman to inspect the roof water leak that I reported to them on October 4, 2014. It took a month for Jolly Roofing to respond, after many letters - phone calls and fax letters, coupled with a last letter by direction of my attorney to sue them for repairs - damage and attorney fees. Jolly Roofing repairman inspected the roof that Jolly Roofing installed in 2009 and advised that the entire Northwest section of roofing needed to be replaced due to water leaks. He stated the issue was not as stated by the last Jolly Roofing repairman. It seems that Jolly Roofing responds only under duress by their customers to sue them in court. I faxed Jolly Roofing a letter in reference to their repairman's findings and requested an immediate reply, but no reply so far. Looks like I am going to have to sue Jolly Roofing for roof repairs - damage and attorney fees. I have a 7 Year Written Warranty from Jolly Roofing Company, which covers the repairs in question, but their Written Warranty is worthless. Final Business Response On October 4th Mr. [redacted] reported damage to his wood that was noted by his painter. We inspected his claims and notified him that our warranty covers repairs to the roof not to the wood soffit he was referencing. On November 4th we responded to a call about a different leak and we advised him of the work we would do to correct this issue. Since that date we have made numerous calls to set up a time to make repairs with no response. Once receiving the recent Revdex.com report contact was made with him to resolve the issue. During the call he stated that his cell phone was out of service last week. He was notified that we will contact him to set up an appointment acceptable to him to make required repairs.
