I also want to remind you that retainers are not refundable, as stated in the agreement you signedYou can't just decide that after a period of time that you were not updated, so you can then get a refund from usAudit representation is very serious and requires the extensive experience of someone like [redacted] who is an attorney and a CPAYou can't just bounce around from one representative firm to anotherWhen we have a power of attorney signed by a client we are under an obligation to continue work until we are formally removed from the caseWe also have an obligation to contact the [redacted] employee and let them know the situation and not leave them hangingWe maintain excellent professional relationships with the [redacted] employeesWe also have to spend time removing a power of attorney, and updating clients on how to proceed from here if they want to stop our servicesOften they or their old tax preparer doesn't understand exactly how to win deductions, and we have to explain to them what is required by the [redacted] auditorWe represent tax preparation firms, attorneys, and CPA's before the [redacted] so we are very careful to maintain our professional relationships with [redacted] employeesThat is mostly why we have our clients sign our engagement agreement that states that retainers are not refundableYou will see from the bill, the work that was performed on your behalfHad you continued with us, and sorted you documents [redacted] to keep the time down, and contacted me directly or responded to [redacted] email when you had an issue, you would have felt better, and have enjoyed the success that most of our clients do, when we win their audit for them

You had told us, in an email, and a call to [redacted] that at the end of that you were looking to hire someone else to help youThis was after your retainer was used and after you gave [redacted] many documents for review in mid DecemberYou never got back and in Jan, [redacted] spoke to the auditor in your behalf anyway, to protect you from any decisions against youWe have been awaiting contact from you concerning what you wanted to do from hereI se now that this is your response.I'm sorry you were frustrated that the [redacted] required documentation that was greater than you could provideWe try to warn people ahead of time that you can't just throw documents at the [redacted] and expect them to believe youSometimes it really requires a lot of work on your part to review and sort your documents before giving them to usI am always available to respond to personal emails at [redacted] Calls to [redacted] requesting to speak to me, or an email to me would have resulted in communication directly with me.In my weekly case reviews, it has never come up there there was ever any dissatisfaction on your partIF you want us to resend a bill, just call [redacted] and ask her.I am sorry that you never brought this to my attentionWe strive to keep all of our clients happy as we help them resolve their [redacted] problemsWe have successfully resolved thousands of tax cases over the last years, with very few complaints
