[redacted] Business: AllstateConsumer: [redacted] (I will address him as Mr [redacted] in my response *elow)To Who It May Concern:Mr [redacted] received an unsolicited homeowner insurance quote from my agency, The Derrick AgencyLLC, in October The mailing is an Allstate pre-approved marketing process in whichagents can use public records to send out estimated quotes to prospects.The issue Mr [redacted] has is with the pressure sealed envelope that has the wording:PERSONAL AND CONFIDENTIALThe marketing company, [redacted] who sends these mailings out told me they have used thispressure sealed envelope since And that it was pre-approved *y Allstate.This is the first complaint my agency has ever received in regards to any mailings we have donein my twenty-nine plus years as an Allstate agentI always use pre-approved Allstate mailingsto make sure we are in compliance with company standards.I *elieve this complaint is unjustifiedI followed all approved procedures to *e in compliancewith Allstate standards.When Mr [redacted] called my agency to voice his complaint, he never told us who he wasHe startedimmediately accussing us of using deceptive advertising on the envelopeI tried to tell him thatwe use company approved marketing methods and I started to try and get his name and offerto add him to the Allstate "Do Not Solicit" listHowever, he hung up on me *efore I could evenask his name or make the offerThis is the only contact I have had with Mr*.Mr [redacted] called Allstate's home office in Northbrook, Illinois with his complaintfound out hisname from [redacted] , Executive Assistant, Chairman's Customer Care Team, who called meinitially about Mr*'s complaint against the marketing envelopeI have attached the emailresponse from [redacted] , Senior Manager of Agency Operations at Allstate's home office inNorthbrook, Illinois, to Mr*.I have since added Mr*and his address to Allstate's Do Not Solicit and Do Not Call list to tryand prevent him from receiving future marketing pieces from Allstate, any Allstate agentand/or my agency.Also, I have personally made the decision not to use this envelope in the future even though ithas *een approvedI will only have marketing mailings from my agency use an envelope with11/05/03:31PM [redacted] ~Allstate.You're in good hands.Allstate and my agency address listed WITHOUT the wording Personal and ConfidentialThiswill hopefully keep this type of issue from arising in the future.If you need any further assistance, please let me know
