Review: We contracted with Jonas Construction to remove and replace a large concrete driveway that was roughly 40 years old and uneven and cracked. [redacted] did remove and replace the concrete and although the finish was kind of rough, the final product appeared to be satisfactory but not great by any stretch). However, within several weeks of the job being finished, the concrete began to fracture and crack in multiple places. Although it is inevitable that concrete will crack over time, the fact that it cracked so soon was a red flag. After hearing several eye witness reports (with pictures) from homeowners, it became evident that the reason for the cracks was probably a result of the lack of preparation prior to pouring the concrete. The ground was never leveled, or packed down, and no sand was used (which is evident in the pictures).

It took multiple phone calls and emails (and over a month) to finally hear back from the vendor. He stated he has never had concrete fail in over 30 years, but when he was asked to fix this, he said he would charge the same rate to repair the cracked concrete as he charged to pour it.Desired Settlement: We have requested the vendor to repair his work or give us some type of refund (so we can pay somebody else to fix it).
