To whom it may concern: Mrand Mrs [redacted] have an engineered septic system that was installed roughly two years ago, as part of a new construction home projectAfter occupancy of the new home began, the client reported an odor on the exterior of the home near the septic ventilation system Based on suggestions from the septic manufacturer and a licensed professional engineer, we made adjustments to the exterior ventilation system in order to minimize the impact of the odor to the clientsAfter the adjustments were made, we held a lengthy on-site meeting with the client that included representatives from the [redacted] , the [redacted] , the septic installer, and the engineer who designed the systemThe conclusion from this meeting was that the septic system was installed and operating properlyDuring this meeting, the experts on site explained how the septic system works and that it was impossible that a gas smell could travel back from the tanks into the houseThe [redacted] has also explained to Mrand Mrs [redacted] that an occasional smell from the exterior ventilation system is not uncommon to have with a septic systemRegarding the indoor odors, Lifestyle has previously received reports of a “sulfur” odor at sinksIt was explained to us that only occasionally the water smells like sulfurThere have been a few of our clients in the same section of the street that have reported similar odorsBased upon our investigation of this matter at this home, as well as at other homes, we have concluded that the water odors do not have anything to do with installation or the products used to build the home, but is due to the chemical nature of the treated water supplied by [redacted] We have reached this conclusion after detailed investigations, which have included a number of water potability testsEach of those potability tests have shown that the water is potableIt has been explained to each of our clients who have reported these water odors that they need to file a complaint with the Public Works department if they feel there is an issue with the waterIn summary, the [redacted] residence has gone through the proper construction steps including all inspections required by [redacted] Part of the inspection process includes making sure all of the plumbing fixtures are vented properlyLifestyle and [redacted] have made multiple trips on site to investigate and make sure that all claims have been investigated and made sure there are no issues with the products or installation

I am writing in response to a complaint filed by Mr [redacted] about a warranty concern at his homeThe concern relates to the concrete driveway surface, which has developed some minor surface cracks since the original installationOur warranty clearly states that there is no warranty coverage for this type of concrete surface crackingNevertheless, we have agreed to return to Mr [redacted] home and seal the small surface crack with a concrete sealant materialThis will be addressed within the next two weeks, as time and weather allowSincerely,
