I am rejecting this response because:
I was not aware of the retraction they were going to doThey act like I knew beforehand that this procedure was going to be doneI was not in the office looking at the boardI did not see the portion of the paperwork showing thisAll I had to do was pay my co-pay to get my diabetes checkedI called the office three days in a row, and said they were going to contact me but never didThey did not even have the decency to do thatThey do not verbally tell you what is happening, you have to read and see it yourself

We are in receipt of your letter dated December 21, which was received in our office on December 27, regarding ID#*** complaint by *** ***.Unfortunately, without a specific signed release of information by the patient we cannot release information regarding a patient due to
HIPPA. Please refer back to the patient and their explanation of benefits from their insurance company based on what is or is not covered and what is or is not patient responsibility.We strive to educate and inform each patient on what will be covered and possibly not covered during their exam. A refraction is the test that determines a patient's glasses prescription and is required to receive and updated glasses prescription. The refraction is not covered by Medicare or most Medicare replacement insurances. This information is posted in our waiting room as the form "Non-Covered Refraction Form" and is also a form that is given to patients.We will be happy to contact the patient to attempt to clarify any questions regarding his examination and billing.If we receive a signed medical release from the patient allowing us to discuss specifics with the Revdex.com the we would be happy to do so
