I received a very official looking letter saying my home loan has gone under review and has been identified as eligible for a 2.875% rate The letter included the amount of the loan, indicating a credit report had been pulled The very fine print revealed that this is an attempt to induce me to change to a variable rate loan, which would be a very stupid thing to do at this time

WARNING WARNING WARNING !!!!!!!!!!!! THIS COMPANY IS THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL GROUP I HAVE EVERY HAD TO DEAL WITHTHERE BROKES AND WE HAVE HAD TO DEAL WITH OF THEM IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND THEY LOST PAPERWORK WITH PERSONAL INFO ON THEM AND THEY LIE YOU AND YOUR WIFE IS ON THE PHONE WITH THEMI TOOK DAYS FOR US TO CLOSE ON OUR HOUSE AND WE SHOULD HAVE CLOSED IN TO DAYS MAXWHEN WE CLOSED ON OUR HOUSE THEY DIDN'T EVEN SHOW UP @ THE CLOSING THE ATTORNEY AND THE TITLE COMPANY HAD TO GO OVER THE PAPERWORK WITH US THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DISCUSSED BY THE FINANCE COMPANYEVERYTHING TO MY KNOWLEDGE WAS HANDLE VIA PHONEOUR PERSONAL INFO WE STILL HAVE NO IDEA WHERE IT WENT TOTHE GENTLEMAN THAT LOST THING AND HELD EVERYTHING UP IS STILL WORKING THERE AFTER EVERYTHING THAT HE HAD DONETHIS COMPANY COST US ALOT OF STRESS THAT COULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN CARE OF IF HE WOULD HAVE DONE HIS JOB CORRECTLY BUT HE DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO MAKE IT RIGHT HE YELLED AT MY WIFE AND TOLD HER IF SHE WOULD LISTEN TO HIM AFTER SHE HAD FAXED AND EMAILED WHAT HE WAS ASKING FOR HE SAID THAT HE NEEDED THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION AND SHE TOLD HIM SHE HAD ALREADY EMAILED IT AND FAXED IT TO HIMHE CALLS THE NEXT DAY AND ASK MY WIFE IF ADDITIONAL INFO AND TOLD HIM WHY COULDN'T HE HAVE TOLD HER THAT SO THAT SHE COULD HAVE SENT THAT WITH THE EMAIL FROM THE DAY BEFORE HIS EXPLANATION WAS THE UNDERWRITER NEEDED ADDITIONAL INFOWE ALSO PUT WAS TOLD WE WHERE PREAPPROVED BEFORE WE STARTED LOOKING AND THEY WHEN WE PUT A BID IN ON OUR HOUSE ON FIRST PART OF MAY WE NEVER RECEIVED A LETTER OF PREAPPROVAL AND HOW MUCH WE COULD SPENDTHE REALTOR HAD TO DO ALL THE FOOT WORK ON THIS WHOLE CASEBE FOR WARNED THIS COMPANY IS NOT WHAT THEY SAY THEY ARE

BUYER BEWARE! After becoming entangled with an extremely frustrating and unsatisfactory experience with this organization we would highly recommend NOT becoming involved with them.

My wife and I entered an agreement to refinance our home with Platinum Financial in the Spring of 2016. Little did we know that they would take almost triple the amount of time that should be normal for closing the transaction. This was due to lost personal paperwork (which remains lost to this day), unexplained delays, poor communication and attempts to charge us additional fees for their failure to lock in the agreed-upon interest rate, and incorrect payment instructions in our closing documents for monthly premiums to them and the ultimate buyer of our mortgage. This caused considerable confusion between us and our new mortgage holder which took several phone calls and emails to resolve. These faulty payment instructions also resulted in one of our payments being sent to the wrong location, resulting in the payment being credited incorrectly. This mistake wasn't discovered until two months later and was never substantiated in writing. Only after the purchaser of our mortgage sorted out the confusion did we understand we still owed a payment for which we had been incorrectly invoiced.

During the process delays we were told TWICE by their representatives NOT to make our monthly payments to our current mortgage holder because they were going to close before the end of the month and pay off the balance; in both instances we did not close on the projected date. Consequently we were charged late payment fees on TWO separate months costing us an extra $100 that was not reimbursed. After we finally closed they were late paying off this mortgage holder, resulting in the submission of a negative late-payment report for two months on our record to the credit agencies. They did not take any corrective action on our behalf for their mistake, so we had to initiate damage control with the credit agencies that took almost two months to reverse. Needless to say, we were completely disgusted with this experience and would recommend that anyone considering financing or re-financing a home to do business with some other company.
