Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint I have attached a copy of the contract signed on 8-8- Michele Bell asserts that there weren't enough days to paint our house between the start date at the beginning of Sept and mid-November That is not true She has admitted in previous messages that she took other jobs without completing our's She has previously claimed the reason she didn't finish was trouble with her work force She blames us for pressuring her to complete the work and therefore her crew did a poor job This is not an excuse when you are the business owner She is responsible for living up to the contract she signed and ensuring the quality work of her crew Only 25-30% work was completed by mid-Nov due to the fact that she didn't assign a crew to our job I also saw a complaint/negative review posted to the Revdex.com website for Michele Bell dated the beginning of Nov This is proof that she was accepting other work while our project went unfinished In her most recent response, she said she prioritized another costumer over us, again, in the spring I'm not sure why she believes there is any excuse to take a day project and make it last over months.I also attached pictures of the shoddy work (debris was painted on to our porch floor and bubbles in the paint) as well as the paint chips that now litter our landscaping I am still adamant that Michele owes us approximately 50% of our initial deposit due to lack of work If she purchased paint for the project (which she states she did in a previous response), I will accept it in lieu of an equivalent amount of the deposit...$of paint would reduce the requested deposit to $ But I am pretty sure, she has not purchased additional paint for this job.If she will not repay the amount listed above, I would hope the Revdex.com would reevaluate her previous A+ rating Regards, [redacted]

[redacted] Answer from business Truly sorry that things had to end this way I told you when you signed a contract with me that it was the end of the summer I still thought that we had time to get you taken care of I did the best I could under the circumstances when it rains you need to let it dry out that's the reason that you have a bubble on your porch is because of moisture with covered with paint because you guys would not listen to me you acted as if I was trying to avoid doing your job which was not the case at all I also told you that I would be there the first first job of spring and I had all intentions of it I had a customer add on a small part of an exterior two days prior to the time your job was supposed to start it rain the entire week that through my schedule off I had full intentions of finishing your job but unfortunately that did not get to happen and for that I'm sorryThank you Michele Bell

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaintI wanted to add additional information to the complaint referenced above with Michele Bell Painting.I requested two separate painting contractors review the work that's been done and provide their estimate for the % of completion They both estimated that between 25-30% of the job was completed They would both put that in writing They also both commented on issues with large air bubbles of paint in the porch where the paint didn't adhere, caulking issues between the trim and house, and areas of trim that weren't well covered in paint. The Revdex.com system didn't seem to allow me to add this additional detail to the complaint I believe this further validates that Michele should refund half of the deposit Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowThis is *** (*** Husband) I dealt with Michelle She painted most of the trim, but NONE of the actual house, and did one coat on the porch That's how we arrived at 25% Her crew told us they would do a second coat on the porch, finish the trim, and paint the entire house with two coats The house is a large 3-story home and none of the wood siding was painted That's what the original bid was for The replacement of a single wood board in the porch didn't impact Michele's schedule at all She had an entire house to paint after all While we were willing to give her a chance to show up this year and finish the job, she promised we would be the first job of the year Within a few days of the agreed upon start date, she emailed telling us that there are other jobs that she is behind on and provided no revised start date This leaves us in a continued state of limbo about whether Michele Bell Painting is capable of finishing this job or has the appetite to finish this job this season It seems she has accepted and continued to work on jobs she contracted after our house and continues to work this spring/summer on things she most likely didn't accept more than months ago How else is she behind on work this summer when we are the "first" job of the season?? How do we contractually force her to finish what she started without excuses? It seems asking for our money back and/or consulting with lawyers is our only option because she wasn’t even able to commit to a new start date Our patience for Michele has worn thin because throughout the season last year there were weeks at a time where her crew never showed up when the weather was perfect and she was non-communicative about her plans for finishing the house. I had to repeatedly call/email/text her to find out if they were going to show up and they rarely didWe have little confidence that michele is capable of showing up this season and completing the job With regards to her expenses, she bought white paint, but as far as we know, never bought more than a gallon of yellow paint to cover a few of the areas they stripped before winter There are still multiple areas of stripped paint on the house that weren't covered last year and the trim on the third floor which is in really bad shape hasn't been addressed *** reached out to Michele indicating we wanted some of our money back and Michele didn’t respond

*** *** has also forwarded this complaint on to me personally I still stayed the same that I have always stood all the trim on the back side of their house was an additional aand we did all of that there was only one move left on the third floor that took a foot ladder it's a funny thing to me that job could not get any other painters when he signed a contract with me and August I had full intentions of finishing this job the very day that I had to cancel the 15th of May of they reported me to the Revdex.com this is not my problem I have no control over the weather I do not plan on returning any of their money because I don't feel that I owe them any they have all the pain there that I ordered and I spit over days on their job and paid for labor it's not my fault that they were not willing to work with me this year and for that I'm sorry

I'm very sorry that it has come to this I have no control of the weather and I do have a schedule that I have to stay on we started this house in September of last year we waited on them to have wood replacement gun and I disagree with her  when it comes to only 25% of the house being completed...

I only spoke with this lady one time I have dealt with her husband and he was explained everything to there's one spot that has to have a 40 foot ladder and we talked to her husband Job and explain to him that when we came back with a 40 foot ladder that we would do the rest of the difficult moves all of the trim on the house is completely done except for the one move my guys were there a total of 10 days we worked until it started snowing I had them scheduled for the 15th of this month which was the day that she wrote this review and I had a lot of rain last week which screwed my schedule up again I had two guys on that job that I fired I had two guys on that job  that makes over $20 an hour and they work there for 10 days I spent $700 on all the paint for the place I do not feel that I owe her any money

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  I have attached a copy of the contract signed on 8-8-16.  Michele Bell asserts that there weren't enough days to paint our house between the start date at the beginning of Sept and mid-November.  That is not true.  She has admitted in previous messages that she took other jobs without completing our's.  She has previously claimed the reason she didn't finish was trouble with her work force.  She blames us for pressuring her to complete the work and therefore her crew did a poor job.  This is not an excuse when you are the business owner.  She is responsible for living up to the contract she signed and ensuring the quality work of her crew.  Only 25-30% work was completed by mid-Nov due to the fact that she didn't assign a crew to our job.  I also saw a complaint/negative review posted to the Revdex.com website for Michele Bell dated the beginning of Nov 2016.  This is proof that she was accepting other work while our project went unfinished.  In her most recent response, she said she prioritized another costumer over us, again, in the spring.  I'm not sure why she believes there is any excuse to take a 20 day project and make it last over 9 months.I also attached pictures of the shoddy work (debris was painted on to our porch floor and bubbles in the paint) as well as the paint chips that now litter our landscaping.
I am still adamant that  Michele owes us approximately 50% of our initial deposit due to lack of work.  If she purchased paint for the project (which she states she did in a previous response), I will accept it in lieu of an equivalent amount of the deposit...$800 of paint would reduce the requested deposit to $1075.  But I am pretty sure, she has not purchased additional paint for this job.If she will not repay the amount listed above, I would hope the Revdex.com would reevaluate her previous A+ rating.

I would say that this was caused from us trying to get this house done in the winter time because they were pushing us to get it done and we literally was painting this house when we got our first snowfall and I was very worried about that when you paint over wet wood that will happen and there was days that we try to let the house dry out from getting rain and they was upset because we weren't there and this is a reason why

The business may have invested money and time into this job but we also lost money and time.  In order to fix the issues correctly we had to tear out the work that was done by [redacted]'s company, replace the drywall and corner bead and correctly mud the corners.  [redacted] states that I did not allow her to finish the job however she was not willing to complete the work using industry standard procedures.   She was taking short cuts to get complete the job faster and saving herself money.  I was not willing to accept sub par work.

Thank you Michele Bell.

I don't feel that I need to return a deposit it I was out more money on the job than the deposit that was giving I had labor involved and materials I did the job to the best of our knowledge considering what we had to work with I attempted to make the job right she refused to let me make it right so at this point I don't know what I should do because she's the one that breach the contract that she signed with me allowing me to complete the job but refused to let me do so

I'm very sorry that [redacted] feels this way I talked to [redacted] and her husband both about the bathroom we did hang new drywall in the bathroom the job was three-quarters of the way done and it was not to [redacted] satisfaction her husband was willing to let me finish the job but [redacted] specified she was done she was...

over it she was very angry going into it and I really regret taking that job on I told her that I would come and do her job as a rainy day project as if I had nothing else to do she expected me the very first rainy day to be there I did have my guys there one day I did send them back the second day without calling her I assumed that she knew that we would be coming back the next day to finish the work I tried to make all of her complaints right and she was not having it at that point there was nothing I could do I spent more money on the job and her deposit was
