Review: After Hurricane Sandy, we were forced to fix the entire house from foundation to roof. Hired JSG. Signed contract and then all the problems began. We made down payment and then had to fight with company to get them to do the work. Company would make mistake after mistake and then charge to fix the mistake. For example, we picked door, company bought the wrong door, installed it...then charged for removal, new door, and re-installment (it took us 3 months to get them back to do this).

His subcontractors would damage the new walls, new wood floors, break and steal materials from the house. He would then charge us for repair/replacement.

Shoddy work. We ended up repairing most of companies poorly and hastily done work.Desired Settlement: Company should have to pay for their mistakes and not prey on Hurricane Sandy victims. We request partial refund for all damages and replacement of materials stolen.

Yes we were hired to do the work for the customer after he fired the first contractor. The customer was recomended by a friend we have in commom. We were hired to do various jobs of which materials were customer supplied. We were praised through the process for the work we were doing. During the job the customer`s plumbing contractor walked off the job. They asked my company for a plumber who I supplied at the rate I paid, in other words I made no profit on the plumbing work done. Through the job the customer made several changes which delayed the job including, switching out work that was completed. For example we installed a bathtub which after installation, the customer decided they did not like it and asked us to install a new one which we did. We finished what we could and left with a customer supplied door that he never purchased and a balance on the job. If you supply the wrong door, how is that th fault of the contractor. I would also like to know the items that we supposively stole. Every single complaint this customer had, and there were plenty was addressed. The day I left, I told the customer to call me when the door came in. I guess they also forgot I gave them materials at my cost and many things they were not charged for. I will say it again, if there is a problem, all they would have to do is call me and I would take care of it. Besides a text which I got from the customer which made no sense I tried calling the customer and he did not return my call. I still stand by my work, and if anything needs to be fixed we will.

Who made the introduction is irrelevant. You were told to get a certain door. The door opened the wrong way. The company is famous on the internet for not returning in a timely fashion for follow up work ([redacted]). Your plumber, attempted the same method as you did. He tried to get us to rip out all tile work in a bathroom to move a shower head.

A tv stand was stolen by his dry wall contractor

Company never fulfilled contract:

Contract called for 3 coats spackling, only 1 supplied ( we primed and sanded walls ourselves)

Never finished sanding

Floor insulation not installed correctly and is falling

To address all issues one by one. The pictures that were sent in from top to bottom

The picture of the light and ceiling, where is the problem. The door, I was told to finish that when I install the front door which I was never called back for (customer supplied materials) The other 2 pictures are of work we did not do. As far as the door, the customer gave me the model number, swing and hardware and told me to order the door which was given to the customer at my price, 40 % off list. If the door was wrong, Why was I not told about it till a month after install and why would he pay for a door that was incorrect. As far as the [redacted] review, that is not my company and legal action has been taken against [redacted]. As far as the shower head, it was roughed in by the previous plumber who walked off the job. I showed the customer the problem with that as well and he agreed on the fix. To accuse me or any sub contractors of stealing a TV stand months after the job was finished is wrong. Could have any insulation have fallen, very possible but once again if I don`t know there is a problem how can I fix it.

There is still a balance that is owed to me. Even with that said if things need to be corrected, the customer can call me and I will fix any problems that we were at fault
