Review: I signed a contract and paid for wood rot restoration and repair and the installation of a new back door. The labor and material for the back door was quoted as $675. The contractor never installed the back door. After several months of complaints, the contractor emailed me and promised to refund the cost of the entire project. I replied that I would be satisfied with a refund for the cost of the door of $675. The contractor replied that he would provide the refund. After another month the contractor has not provided the refund and does not respond to any of my telephone or email messages.Desired Settlement: A simple refund of $675 is all that is required.

The voucher was for 4 hour wood rot repair, the voucher also stated that any additional time for repairs would be at $88.00 per hour, per man and the voucher only covered labor, materials would be extra. This was presented to him at the time of purchase through the vendor's website defining the “Fine Print”. Jorca Contractors Inc. also presented the rate in several emails before starting the job. [redacted] agreed to the rate via email and we stared with the wood rot repair. During the start of the work, we mentioned to [redacted] that he need a door and provided him with an Estimate. Jorca Contractors Inc. made the attempt to order the door, and continued working on the wood rot work. Jorca Contractors Inc. also provided an initial estimate for the wood rot repair with a disclaimer that stated any additional work would be presented to [redacted] and would be extra. [redacted] continued requesting more wood rot repair as we presented him with more damaged wood. Jorca Contractors Inc. completed the wood rot repair with 65 man hours for a total $5720.00 and $744.00 in material, for a grand total of $5892.78(a 10% was given for being an Angie's [redacted] member). Our officereceived a check from [redacted] in the amount of $2175.00 applied to the total of the outstanding balance.We had some issues with the order of the door and it prolonged the wait time. [redacted] made my Son CARLOS M, Project Manager, aware of his complaint. Jorca Contractors Inc. At the time offered [redacted] a refunded under the impression that [redacted] did not have an outstanding balance with our company.
