Jordan Auto Center Reviews (1)

Review: sold a car told in no accidents. Carmax determined in less than 5 minutes it had been in major accidents. transmission seized in less than 2 months.

Timeline of 2002 Mazda Protégé JM1BJXXXXXXXXXXXX

2/3/2013 I bought the car from Jordan Auto

Received the Car Fax from Jordan Auto stating no accidents

Bought the car with a 3 month or 3,000 mile service contract

3/13/2013 Car had an Automatic Transmission light come on before the 3000 mile warranty was up. I called Jordan Auto and had no answer. I took the car to Arch's Automotive Repair who checked for the trouble codes and gave us a repair guide for code P1250 with instructions to drive it to see if the light comes back on or if the light came on in error. They instructed us that if the light comes back on we should go to a transmission repair place. If the light does come on the most likely cause would be the PRC valve. Also recommended fluid and filter change on the transmission to prevent the problem from getting worse. All inspection work was done at no charge.

3/14/2013 Had message from Jordan Auto apologizing for not receiving my previous phone call.

3/15/2013 I returned the call to Jordan Auto explaining the situation with the car, and they recommended we see his transmission mechanic, Tranzen in Sacramento , for a diagnostic if the problem gets worse.

3/27/2013 I had the transmission fluid and filter change as well as oil and oil filter change at [redacted] Automotive as recommended by Arch's Automotive to prevent the problem from getting worse.

4/13/2013 Because the transmission issue got worse and the Automatic Transmission light came back on. At this point we were over the 3000mile warranty. We then went to [redacted] to have the PRC valve replaced and we were quoted 120 dollars in hopes to fix the problem, but it did not. Given the situation and that it didn't fix the problem they did not charge us anything. They instructed us to go to the dealer and have a full diagnostic done on the car.

4/22/2013 Took car into the dealer for full diagnostic on the car for 225 dollars. The dealer ruled that we needed a transmission rebuild estimated at 3,218.42 and we need a new PRC solenoid to fix the automatic transmission trouble code estimated at 164.42.

We then went to [redacted] and received a verbal quote for 1500 dollars for a rebuilt transmission installed with a 1 yr warranty.

Went to [redacted] and received an appraisal offer for 1800 dollars for the car we now have approximately 7500 dollars in. [redacted] determined the car has been in a major accident on 3/30/2003 that damaged the frame and evidence of clamp marks on the pinch rails used to stretch the frame of the car into proper place. Also the hood, driver front and rear doors, passenger front and rear doors, passenger and driver fender, passenger and driver quarter panels were all repainted to cover damage. They stated that this car should have a salvage title and I was sold the car and told it had a clean title with no accidents.

4/26/2013 Car will not shift into drive rendering it not drivable.

4/28/2013 Called Jordan auto no one answered

Called [redacted] and earliest they can get to work on the car is Friday the 3rd and it will be completed by Monday the 6th in the afternoon

5/6/2013 I Picked up the car with rebuilt transmission

5/6/2013- 7/10/2013 [redacted] replaced 3 motor mounts at no charge for labor and 50 dollars per mount for parts

10/6/2013 Problems going up hill we took it into [redacted] and got a diagnostic done to check the car and see why or if it is transmission related. They determined it is the alternator not giving enough power to the transmission causing it to stall. New alternator and belt installed for 350 dollars.

10/10/2013 Picked up car from [redacted] auto instructed the problem is better but is not fixed engine is dirty internally causing it to idle improperly

Desired Settlement: 1 Buy back car at every penny I have in it

2 Pay the repair costs to get me the working vehicle I should of had for the price I bought it for and refund some of the sale price due to trouble caused and the fraudulent basis you sold it to me on.
