My name is *** *** I am the owner and director of The ***'s Childcare facilitiesI am writing this letter in response to a complaint we received by a disgruntled associateI am deeply sadden and disappointed in the very unfair, unreasonable and complaintThe first sentence in
*** *** complaint is that he only chose our daycare because of his
children's bus stopThat statement is completely false; we have serviced *** *** and his ex wife *** *** for years until recentlyTheir children have attended three of our locations and we had them since before they were old enough to go to schoolWe had grown very attached to *** and *** they were in our care at very young ages and we have always taken good care of themupon enrolling their children in our facility *** and *** received information and have known about all of our policies and procedures long before this late dayBecause their children have been in our care for such an extended period of time and been to every location they are well aware of every policy and procedure that our center goes byI never refused to give *** anything I told him that I didn't have a problem leaving him a new hand book when I came to the center the next dayThe problem came in when he refused to pay the late fee, he felt like it was too much and he did not pay It the next day when he brought his children to the centerHe was made aware that the fee had to be paid the next morningWhen we spoke to him to find out why he did not pay the late fee he stated that he won't be paying for something that he did not agree toOur policy and procedures are not anything that has to be agreed upon by our parentsIt is the blueprint of our business and if they enroll their children then all of our policies and procedure will be followed*** was very unapologetic for his actions in leaving his child there after closingHe never called to say that he would be late and even though we have giving him a large discount on our weekly rate because they have been clients for so long our kindness was taking for a weaknessI am very bothered that he would go so far as to say that we called a bus compound we don't have the ability to change a child's bus stop just because they no longer come to our centerTheir child’s bus stop is not even on our property so I am not sure who called them from the school but it was very we don't have time to worry about who is being dropped off on a public street we are looking out for our buses only and that's itThere are other children that ride that bus from the neighborhood and do not come to our center that statement is completely and we would never do something like that because it doesn't make any sinceWe were not angry at what happened because it has happened before but we did have to let him know that no one will be able to run our business for us and if the rules are not followed he would have to take them elsewhereWe gave their family a lot of privileges by not charging full price for enrollment, leaving our other location owing 100.00, and accepting their tuition late every week without charging a per day late feeThe late fee for child pick up is the first min and each additional minThat money goes directly to the employee that was forced to stayWe have to charge an expensive fee because unfortunately there are parents that will leave their child in our care after closing time and are completely unapologetic about it causing disruption to their child and a staff member that in this case missed her bus to get home and didn't make it home until 8:30pm because he came late to get his childWe completely understand in some cases parents may be running a little behind and if they call and notify us ahead of time we work with themHe never paid the late fee so we gave her the money from the tuition that he paid for the week and we notified him that his children will not be able to come back to our facility after that weekThey did not take their children out of our facility we terminated them because our rules have constantly been bent and stretched for them and that was unfair to other parents and children enrolledI have been in contact with my attorney because our reputation is all that we have and we have a very good oneWe do not appreciate any rumors being spread or our character being defamed
