I saw a used truck posted for sale online and went to view it. When I requested to view the *** report from the owner, Joe M, he got very defensive and said there was no need to see the report because it didn’t tell you anything. He said he has been doing this for years without a *** because there is no point in paying for one since it didn’t tell you anything. I was interested in buying the truck so we agreed that I would come back the next day with my vehicle (to trade it in) and I would buy the truck at that time. Once I went home I didn’t feel comfortable proceeding without the *** so I personally purchased one for the vehicle. When I got the *** back it indicated there was a lien on the vehicle (the amount was not disclosed). I called *** and they also confirmed there was a lien on the vehicle and I would have to call *** to find out the amount. I wanted to see what Joe would say so I asked him to provide me with proof that there was no lien on the vehicle via text. It had been a couple of hours and Joe did not respond. I then called him and asked if he could send me something confirming there was no lien on the vehicle. Joe paused for a long time and then said there is a lien on the vehicle (which he had not previously disclosed). I asked him what next steps would be and he was quite agitated and said he would have to look into it because he wouldn’t be able to sell it with a lien. He was very flustered. He indicated he would be talking to *** tomorrow and then get back to me. Joe never got back to me. In my opinion Joe was aware there was a lien on the vehicle and hence that is why he did not provide a ***. When he was confronted with the information, his reaction was anger and frustration oppose to apologetic. I would expect his response to be shocked and apologetic at the very least if he truly did not know there was a lien on it. I do not recommend engaging in business with this company, Jordani Motors or its owner Joe M. This was truly a Buyer Beware situation and I was very lucky to take the initiative to get the *** as well as speak to a very informative advisor at ***.
