Hello - I recently needed an eye exam and was inquiring about contacts. When we were checking prices around the area for local clinics Jorgensen, Shulz & Associates Eyecare Center was one of the places we called. They provided a verbal quote of $80 via phone. The other clinics around the area were comparable so we decided to go with Jorgensen, Shulz & Associates Eyecare Center for the eye exam. I went in February for the eye exam. We received an invoice in the amount of $150.00 from them in June saying we were 90-120 past due. I was very surprised by the amount on the invoice so I called. They charged us $45 for contacts that we never received and agreed to remove that amount from the invoice. I than inquired about the extra $25 charge for the eye exam. The lady on the phone was very rude and said nobody in this office would have quoted you that amount for an eye exam. Since there is no way that I can prove that we were verbally quoted $80 this made me upset. I would not have went to Jorgensen, Shulz & Associates Eyecare Center if the price was $105 for the exam. The receptionist stated that multiple invoices we sent out but I did not receive any until June. I feel like they have committed fraud and there is nothing I can do about it. They threatened to take me to collections if I did not make the payment. I have unwillingly made the $105 payment because I would like to maintain my credit but feel like this company should be reported. In hindsight I will not get service from an organization without receiving a written quote going forward but I would not recommend this Clinic to anyone.

Review: 2 of my children had eye exams in December of 2013. I provided the insurance information and they submitted the claim to my insurance company. My insurance company at the time was self insured. In December of 2014, so 1 year later they billed me for both kids exams saying my insurance denied the claim because there was no money in the account. Now they want me to pay these bills. I feel it should not have taken them a year to bill me. If this was brought to my attention sooner I could have forwarded it to my new insurance company to have them pay the claim. They refuse to resubmit it to my current insurance company and I asked if they could write this off because they sat on this claim for a year. The billing lady there has been difficult to work with.Desired Settlement: I feel I should not have to pay anything, but if I do need to pay I feel I should only have to pay the portion insurance does not cover beyond my benefit.
