To whom it may concern,         Hello my name is [redacted] I'm the store manager of Jos A Bank...

on Madison Ave in NYC. I'm contacting you in regards to the the complaint  ID **. I have contacted the consumer a [redacted] and rectified the situation by refunding [redacted] the difference in between the item he desired and the item he purchased. In total 21.23$ after taxes has been refunded to [redacted] credit card. The transaction number is as followed [redacted] on register # 5. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further question comments or concerns. [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Review: On Thursday February **, 2014 I went onto Josabank.com and saw that they were having a "Doorbuster" sale on February [redacted] at their locations for Signature Wool Tropical Weave Pleated Trouser for $39.97 (I had stained my pants on the way to work and need a new pair). Upon entering the store I asked one of their employees ([redacted]) to direct me to the pants. I pulled up the website and showed him what I was looking for and he told me that those pants are part of their spring line and still weren't available in stores. He then directed me to a more expensive pair of pants that were $60 a pair. I purchased the pants because I needed them, but I feel like this was a bait and switch advertisement because when I first inquiried about the pants the employee had no recollection of such a sale.Desired Settlement: I would like some type of rain check from Jos A Bank honoring this price for a future in store purchase of these pants.

Review: On November 22, 2013 I purchased three suits and 3 shirts from the Jos A. Bank at 1[redacted], [redacted] MD [redacted]. I was notified to come in a couple weeks later to get tailored for the three suits and pick up the shirts. All three of the suits I picked out were there (grey, black, and blue). All of my shirts were. I took the shirts home and they sent the suits away to be tailored. When I got home and tried the shirts on over the next couple of days I found out that none of them fit. When the associate measured me he clearly made a mistake. I came back a week later because I was notified that me suits were ready for pick up. I brought my shirts with me so that I could exchange them for the correct size. [redacted] was the associate who helped me exchange the shirts and get the correct size. [redacted] was the manager there on duty who told me my suits were ready and he gave me only two suits (grey and black). He told me that he did not know where the other one was, he was going to do some research and give me a call later that day and tell me what happened. I never received a call that mid December day. I figured that they were busy with Christmas shoppers and I did not think they were purposely not calling me. I returned after Christmas day to the store to get my new shirts with the correct sizes and asked about my suit, they were clueless to what happened and didn’t know what I was talking about. I had to explain to them the situation and again I left my number with [redacted] and [redacted] both said they would call me that day and figure out what happen. Again I never heard from them. Since I did not hear from them I decided to go into the store in mid-Janurary. [redacted] was in the store and he at first did not know who I was, so I explained the situation. He then remembered what happened and was not sure what to say. He told me he would have a definite answer for me today and would make calls to the corporate office and figure out where my missing suit disappeared to. He took my number and said I would hear from him today. I never heard from him. Near the end of January or beginning of February Instead of going in I called and asked for [redacted] the store manager. I talked to him and he knows nothing of who I am or my situation with the missing suit. I explained and he told me come in and we will get you a new suit.

I got busy with work so I do not come in for a couple weeks and when I came in [redacted] or [redacted] are no where to be found, instead there are two new managers named [redacted] and [redacted]. So again I explained the situation and again I was told that they will do some research and call me. This time the assistant manager [redacted] calls me later that day and says he can not find out what happen but he will continue to look. We correspond over the next week about what happen eventually he cannot produce any reason why my suit was lost and he told me come in to get a new suit. About a week passes by and I come in to get my new suit, both [redacted]’s are there in the store and neither know who I am and I have to explain my situation again. The assistant manager [redacted] begins to remember and he states that this happened with 8 other customers because of the last store manager [redacted].

We go through the records and try and find the blue suit that I ordered but for some reason the record keeping system they have does not show which suit I ordered. To make this as easy as possible for these two store managers I chose to get a suit of equal value that is already at the store. I look around and find a charcoal colored stripped suit. I have a similar suit at home so I wanted to make sure that the suit I have at home is not the same one. I tell [redacted] the assistant manager I will go home and call him in the next 30 minutes to let him know whether or not I want that suit. He informs me that when I call him he will set it aside if I want it. I follow like I said would and spoke to the assistant manager named [redacted] he informs me that the suit is going to be held for me until I come back in to get it tailored.

About a week and a half goes by and I go back in to the same store to find the Head manager [redacted] in the store. I tell him I am here to get a suit tailored and he asks for my last name then goes to the back of the store. 10 minutes later he comes back and can not find my suit. He has no clue of the situation even though he was there a week and half ago when I picked out the new suit in the store. AGAIN, I explain the situation and he says let me do some research. He looks on the computer then says hold on I will be right back and goes into the back of the store. I wait 15 minutes and get aggravated. I get a work phone call and have to return back to work. That was last week. It is now April 1, 2014 I have no suit and spent far to much time on one purchase.

My question to the Jos. A Bank corporate office is what type of store record system do you have? What type of management training program do you have to allow such lack of customer service to occur? How do you plan to resolve this issue? How can you write “your satisfaction is guaranteed” on the back of your business cards and 8 other customers have gone through the same dilemma? How can you repay for me for all the time I lost during this whole process?Desired Settlement: Have the corporate office resolve this.
