I spoke with the business. The customer was accidentally charged for $150.00 instead of being credited $150.00. However, on 5/14 the customer was credit $[redacted] to fix the mix that was made.

Review: For the last 4 months, it has taken over 10 visits to correctly have a suit altered. Multiple issues at multiple levels have resulted in dozens of phone calls, store visits and correspondence with the corporate office. There have been poor experiences with everyone in this company from Sales to Management to Customer Resolution to the VP of Sales. I now possess the suit in the proper size and alterations, and was offered a partial refund for the poor service. Upon processing of this refund, Jos A Bank 'accidentally' debited the refund amount from my bank account rather than refunding it. The refund has since been re-processed and was supposedly going to take a couple hours to process, yet the largest bank in the United States, [redacted], says there has been no activity on my account from Jos A Bank since they fraudulently took more money from my account on Friday, May 2.Desired Settlement: I paid a total of $300 for this suit (alterations included) and was offered a $150 refund. That $300 does NOT include the $150 they fraudulently took from me on Friday, May 2nd, and so I am seeking a total of $450 to settle the matter.

Review: Jos. A. Bank Summer Clearance 2014 catalog indicates "all merchandise available through catalog and josbank.com". Yet when I went to the website, items pictured on page 2 of catalog (item A solid ocean blue shirt in XL, item A(2) Red/Navy windowpane shirt in XL, and item B (5) blue double micro feeder stripe) were either available, but at significantly higher prices ($39.80 vs $29.98) or were made "unavailable" by the company by changing the item number. When I called the Jos A Bank [redacted] number, [redacted] informed me the items had changed their item number, so she couldn't offer me the very same shirt for the advertised $29.98 price. In addition, the website indicated "70% off any second item" with no caveats, but when I asked why my second item was not discounted by 70%, [redacted] indicated that the discount doesn't apply to clearance merchandise. Finally, the website quotes free shipping for all orders over $75, yet [redacted] quoted me a shipping price of $8.50 for the three shirts, which (with or without any of the discounts) would have been over $75. Every aspect of Jos. A. Banks sales associated with this catalog seemed designed to dupe the customer into paying more than the offered price, even intentionally renumbering items in order to claim they were out of stock on the sale item.Desired Settlement: A gift card/store credit sufficient to purchase three [redacted] or [redacted] for a purchase price of $89.94. If items in my style/size are unavailable at the store but available on-line, then free shipping in addition to the store credit.
