About 4 weeks ago when we started to get swamped with phone calls every 20 minutes to remove snow and some ice we charging, Approx. $300.00 to $600.00, that would depend if the homeowner wanted a specific area done, like front or back or the whole house, which would cost a lot more. wasn't that difficult to do. But as the days went by the snow melted and refroze to the point some people had over 20" of ice. So as time went on it cost more to do the work.
Everybody knew exactly what were charging to do the work before we got there. It all depended on what we did for each individual home. So we took before and after shots of every home we did, including his home. We also did his home on Saturday and it was Approx. 10 below wind chill. No one on our crew even suggested that his roof would be $600.00. They do not do that kind of thing. That is a lie. We do not care what there neighbors paid to someone else. They probably aren't even insured. Also the cost of this removal has been averaging from $900.00 to 1,500.00 depending how much we remove because there is a lot more ice now than a week ago and it takes longer to remove and you have to be more careful. This is buyers remorse and on principle we will not return any money and we expect the Revdex.com to disregard this complaint. He didn't mention in his complaint that we showed up the next day as we promised. I also believe we had 4 or 5 men there that day so we could do more homes in a day. Least we forget the time it took to get there and set to do the work. I wish them luck the next time they have an emergency and they need another contractor. As the Revdex.com knows there are a lot of shabby contractors in Rochester.

How easy it is a homeowner to have Buyers remorse after the work is done and his friends around him paid less. I've already explained that. But I have to deal with a homeowner that has lied 3 times. And then reword what I said so it to help his case. No one said anything to him about price, lie #1. He then says 2 men did the work, and then says it's actually 4, 2 men, 1 women and of course a child, lie #2. And nothing is built into our price. Lie #3. Each home is different and the problems are different. He has also threatened us with the AGO. Were done. My son said he will send them a check for $108.00 back as a refund. He also has to withdraw his complaint with the Revdex.com, because it's not a legitimate complaint. We have done no work for him, roofing or siding and he had a problem with our work. He just feels he paid to much. Then he should have had the other guy do his ice and snow removal not us. All he had to do originally was call us on the phone and we could have discussed it, but he choose to go to the Revdex.com instead, first. He either excepts the $108.00 refund or he can do what ever he likes. If he goes to the AGO, I will respond and I will also be going to my Attorney about this. This is embarrassing and humiliating, & degrading. We've been in business over 40 years and I don't think I've had anybody file a complaint like this. And I will do anything to protect our company name and it's solid reputation. And honestly it really irritates to no end. All of this because he feels he paid to much and has to lie about it to get that refund. When any body eats the whole steak, the salad, and has a drink, you don't ask for a refund because it didn't taste right while eating the entire dinner. You pay for all of it.

I'm not clear about what being swamped has to do with the fee and he admittedly stated in his response that he is charging more than his usual fee because he could!  The weather conditions, his mileage  and the thickness of the ice are not billable items, they are built into his estimate.  I am not lying about asking the man that came to do the work about the quote.  I agree they came the next day as they said they would, why wouldnt' they if he told me they would?  It was a Saturday , no mention was made on the phone that the day of service affected the price. He believes that 4-5 men came out to do the work, when in fact 2 men, a woman and a child came. The child was on the roof!! They were here under an hour to remove the ice and snow from 1/2 the roof.  As for shabby contractors, I believe this case fits the mold.  I know of another person that used this contractor and was charged more than was quoted on the phone, so we do not know the price before he gets there.  When talking to the man that came to do the work, I was told size of roof, number of people and time spent is what was built into the fee quoted and that the $600 was about right.    $900 for 50 feet of roof, 2 men and less than an hour of work is taking advantage of people in crisis.  I feel the Revdex.com needs to be aware of these circumstances and not allow their name on these type of businesse that practice this way..  I feel the Attorney General needs to be made aware of this situation because I'm sure it's not the first time it's happened and I'm not the only one it's happened to.  The fact that he said he's charging more than his normal fee undermines his credibility.
