I talked to you about payment before I even left and let you know that we were leaving We agreed that I could pay when I got back after the weekend and you were OK with me leaving It wasn't until minutes down the road you called and said "you have bills to pay" and wanted me to come back and pay It was unprofessional to come back and work a hour day and stay at my house until 10PM working on the tile You trying to say that my wife and dog walked on it is just trying to come up with an excuse for poor workmanship The thin set says to not disturb the tile for hours, and you disturbed it by laying the grout between the tiles (which requires putting force down on the tile which would make them not level if you had them level before) Even if some of the tiles were warped, it doesn't give excuses for the varying grout line gaps (some large, small, and twisted), which would have been fine if you just used spacers between each tile There were tiles that were cut too far away from the wall which wouldn't be covered up by trim You are supposed to compensate for house framing to make it level since you were the one who put down the backer board, it was your job to make the tiles level If there were some warped tiles, there were over left over tiles that you could've picked a non-warped one After taking out tiles from a box, the worst warp between tiles I could find was 1mm and I found lips between the tile that you put down up to 3mm (to the point I could feel the difference walking on the tile with my shoes on) This tile job is unacceptable to the point where I don't think I could sell this house with the tile looking like that I am going to have to rip it up and get someone else to lay the tile again That is why I am asking for money back
