I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meRegards, *** ***

I am rejecting this response because: response from 'whomever wrote response' for Franklin Art Glass is not making a settlement in this matter
I brought all pieces to Franklin Art Glass and confirmed that all pieces where there with my Stepdad "*** ***"
Pieces replaced are of different color and most importantly different texture. Franklin Art Glass has lost original pieces therefore should take responsibility for replacing cost involved of making stain glass as it was or cost of devaluation of stain glass
I am willing to listen to a reasonable offer
What does Franklin Art Glass believe it would cost to do a whole new piece?
What does Franklin Art Glass charge to replace the pieces to original?
Can they find pieces that would match?
Please respond with full name of person whom is responding Regards,*** ***

Not good at all!!! they charge by the hour and the tech milk the job for more money!

the tech kept leaving the site.then you don't get a receipt or invoice when the job is done. you have to wait 3 to 4 days to receive your invoice. they email or mail it to you AFTER you pay them. the job was done 10hrs later. looks good and clean but the process was very bad! beware!!!

Review: I had the company come on Friday, August *, 2014 to give an estimate for a service repair. They said they could do the work Monday, August ** at 8:00 am.

No one showed, I called and they didn't come until noon. I made this appointment because I live out of town.

I girls in the office are rude, kept saying they were sorry and laughing on their end. It's not a joking matter.

At $1400.00 you THINK THEY WOULD BE MUCH MORE PROFESSIONAL.

With 75 years of continuous service, you think [redacted] should look at the employees he hires.Desired Settlement: Billing adjustment for 4 hours of my time...

Review: We were told that the electrician would arrive with a truck and have all materials to fix the problem on the spot and therefore no estimate is provided. The electrician showed up, looked at what was necessary and said he could not fix them at that time. He still collected the $140 that meant he was there working on the problem. Not giving an estimate. My employee was there by himself and didn't know any better.

He then came to my other store and pulled the same stunt.

When I called to explain the situation, I was told to "[redacted] myself" by the person on the other end of the line.Desired Settlement: I would like all monies back that were paid and an apology by the terrible employee working there. d

Review: Weinstein Electric is nothing more than a sophisticated money racketeering scheme. I have completed dozens of full home renovations in and around New York city over the past ten-years. I recently needed a chandelier hung and some minor switch work performed in my apartment. Rather than contracting with the electrician I typically use who prefers larger jobs, I called Weinstein who prides itself and sells itself as being proactive and available for all jobs large and small anytime. Setting up an appointment was, as advertised, extremely easy and the receptionist was fantastic. As I have experience with contractors in Manhattan, I was very excited to have found such a responsive company that claimed they could do exactly what I was asking for on my timeline.

Weinstein was nice enough to send an estimator to the apartment prior to setting the fee for the job in question. The electrical contractor arrived on site and confirmed that all the work I requested was possible and informed me that it was about a $2,000 job. I approved the work and paid a $1,000 deposit to Weinstein and set the appointment for the installation. No questions. Paid!

On installation day, the contractor arrived 1 hour late without any notification that he was running behind. After waiting for 30min, I called Weinstein who informed me that they cannot get the contractor on the phone. After waiting for an hour, the contractor showed up. I was a little angry, but I gave him a break because we all know how parking in NYC can be. He sensed my frustration and he immediately started telling me how terrible Weinstein Electric is and that they sub-contract their electricians and then pay them a fraction of what they charge and treat them horribly. He then slid me his private business card and told me that he “wished he would have met me before calling Weinstein.” The contractor then went to his car and came back about an hour later.

Up to this point, Weinstein had been good to deal with. As a man of integrity, I chose to not go behind their back and call the electrical sub-contractor directly. Rather, I decided to stick by Weinstein and have their sub finish the job. When the electrical contractor arrived on site the second time, he immediately acted hostile and then he said, “I thought I told you to call me…why did you go through Weinstein?” I felt a little turned off to a sub who was selling out his own company, but little did I know. Had I known then what I know now, I would have gone running! At the second appointment, the electrical contractor asked me (the client) if I “remembered the numbers to the electrical pieces he wrote down at the last appointment.” I am an organized person and I had written these down, so I had these. However, I was under the assumption that he was going to bring these to this appointment because he had told me this. He then informed me that he needed to order the parts and that it could take up to a three-weeks through Weinstein. He then, once again, tried to sell me on his own parts that he said he could get in “two days.” By this time I was getting suspicious of the whole outfit. Not only was their sub-contractor extremely unethical, but something felt strange. Regardless, I arrange for yet another third appointment to have the work done.

On the third appointment, the contractor did not show up. I called Weinstein and was greeted by a receptionist. When I asked where the contractor was and identified myself, the person on the other line said “I don’t have to tell you where the contractor is.” I was taken back by this as I was not asking a complex question. She immediately became hostile on the other end of the phone and when I asked to speak to a supervisor she said, “I don’t have to let you talk to him.” When I asked what her supervisors name is she replied, “I don’t need to tell you.” I became very angry and hung up. At this point, I had spent about 7 hours between telephone calls and wasted appointments. My patience was growing thin.

The attitude of the receptionist prompted me to call the after-hours answering service. When I called after-hours I asked the kind lady who owned the company and she told me that the company is owned in part by [redacted] and managed by [redacted]. I asked for [redacted]’s number and she provided this to me. This is where my frustration really begins. [redacted] is a certified crook. Buyer beware. He will avoid you, lie to you and steal your money.

The next day I called and asked to speak to [redacted]. He was always on the other line or busy. After a week of calling [redacted], I finally reached him and he said, “I will call you back.” Well, [redacted] never calls you back and….so…I escalated the situation to [redacted]. [redacted] was professional (at first) and apologized for the lack of service I had received up to this point. He then offered to visit the apartment to look at the work himself once he learned that I had a lot of other work that I need done.

[redacted] showed up and told me that some of the work I wanted done was more difficult than originally anticipated. Unfortunately, I did not have a lot of faith as this went against what his sub-contracted electrical had told me four visits ago. I was exhausted by this whole experience and I asked for my money back on the spot to which he obliged. But, then he assured me that he could do the work and that if I would stick with Weinstein that he would personally see to it that the work is done correctly and in a timely manner. [redacted] seemed like a nice guy and had a professional demeanor, so I went against my better judgment and told him OK.

At the 5th appointment for what was originally intended to be a two-hour chandelier hang and switch job, I wait by the door for the contractor to show. He never does! I call Weinstein and they say he is on his way. He shows up almost two-hours late and this time I refuse him at the door and tell the doormen not to let him up. It was 3:45 and my building will only allow work until 4:00, so it was pointless. I remind you that Weinstein was fully aware of the requirements of my building as well. After sending the contractor home on the 5th appointment, I called Weinstein and asked for my full deposit back.

I immediately called [redacted] directly and I was told that my deposit would be sent back to me as discussed and that he would have [redacted] call me to follow-up on the detail. After three weeks of repeated calls to Weinstein, [redacted] failed to call me back. All this time, I was sending daily email reminders to [redacted]’s email address and getting no response. [redacted], the receptionist, kept telling me each time I called that [redacted] was busy or away and that he would call me back. I finally lied about my name and got him on the phone. When I finally got him he informed me that he was keeping my deposit. I remind you that NONE of the work I had originally contracted Weinstein for had been done and this was not what [redacted] and I discussed on two different occasions. I immediately called [redacted] back. When [redacted] answered and discovered who it was he said, “I need to call you back” and hung up. I then called [redacted] again and [redacted] said, “I will give you $900 back.” At this point, I felt like the whole company was a racketeering scheme and I agreed to take my $900 in fear that I would get nothing from these crooks and be out the full $1,000. One day they say one thing and the next day the story changes. This seems to be a trend at all levels of Weinstein Electrics business. Anyway, I patiently waited for my check to arrive in the mail. After a month of waiting for the check, I called [redacted]. Again, he would not take my calls or answer my emails. So, I lied about my name again and got him on the phone. When I spoke to him he acted as if he did not know who I was or the job I hired him to do. He acted completely oblivious! How do people who are obviously so incompetent keep their job? Family! Eeek…This is one family I would not be proud to be from!

So here I am, it has been almost two months since I was told I would receive my $900 and I just called Weinstein. [redacted] is nowhere to be found. I was told I will get a call back by the end of the day. Weinstein Electric is nothing more than a sub-contracting agency who hires unprofessional people at all levels of their business and snags clients by being attentive in the beginning only to disappoint, lie and drop the ball when the actual job needs to be done. They will steal your money, wast your time and raise your blood pressure. Go running now. Horrific experience that I do not wish on anyone!Desired Settlement: I need my money back from this company. The reference for this job is: [redacted].
