Joseph's Affordable Plumbing and Heating Reviews (9)

Josephs did a great job on an emergency job for me and gave me a fair price. Finished it within a short timeframe. All of his employees were very professional.

I've already answered this complaint .I have explain we are no different than any other company we cannot provide instant service within five or 10 minutes I told the customer we would be there by noon time or after she refused to except that offer there's nothing else I can do to help her.Her husband called me up screaming I understand he was panicking but there was no one availableI could send them .we have three trucks on the street and all the men were tied up on other jobs it just happened to be a very stormy rainy day when they called and we explain to the customer that I would send somebody out there by noon time or after they insisted I get someone there immediately which I could not provide at that immediate second . We came out and clean the drain a week before that and the drain was working fine we could not Monitor what people put down the drains .Her drain was open for more than a week flowing fine obviously someone put something down that drain to clog it up .Also there's no way that paper towel was sitting in the drain line from before they made settlement 4 years agoso someone in their household would've had to put that paper towel down there after I cleaned her drain. The only thing I can promise my customers they will get same-day service not immediate service.I'm not Superman and I cannot perform miracles Just because you have a warranty does not guarantee you a Instant service thank you Joseph's affordable plumbing and heating

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response.  If...

you wish, you may update it before sending it.]Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  Regards, [redacted]

I do not accept this response because the work that my husband and I paid this company to complete was not in fact completed, which resulted in my basement flooding within the plumbing company's own warranty period (30 days)as stated in detail in my original complaint. The plumbing company's response to my complaint is completely inadequate and lacks any necessary detail for you to rule in their favor on this matter. We did give this company the benefit of the doubt and attempt to have this company come out again on the day of the flooding issue for same day service to correct the issue in question as their website states that they make emergency calls. Water pouring uncontrollably into our basement from our utility sink certainly constitutes an emergency situation by any standard. However, the owner informed us that he would not be sending someone out until several hours later and could not give us a definite estimated arrival time. This was unreasonable and we were unable to wait for an unknown period of time for service as our basement continued to flood throughout the day until the problem that they were hired to fix the week prior was solved. Further, this green wash cloth that [redacted] pulled out of my pipe within minutes of entering my pipe with their equipment was not something that my husband or I flushed down our toilet or stuffed in our pipes. What exactly would we have to gain by doing that and flooding our own basement? This accusation is absurd. Further, I do not own any wash cloths or towels of this color. [redacted] informed me that this could be something that a previous owner had put down the pipe (we have owned the house for almost four years and it was a complete rehab when we purchased it). The [redacted] plumber stated that the blockage from this wash cloth could have been building for quite some time, resulting in the blockage issue that we initially hired Joe's company to resolve, which they clearly did not. Based on my experience with the flooding and my conversations with [redacted], I believe that their plumber simply moved the blockage that was there to a different part of the pipe and that they did not completely clear the blockage which resulted in the basement flooding upon the first rain since the "repair." Additionally, as I stated in my original complaint, my father-in-law witnessed their plumber snake towards our house to clear the drain but not out to the street. The [redacted] plumber started service by snaking the pipe out to the street and immediately found the source of the clog (the wash cloth). Again, I have photos and video of the flood in my basement from the day in question, as well as photos of the debris (including the wash cloth) that was later pulled from my pipe. I also have documents from [redacted] explaining the issue as well as a document from Joe's company stating that his work is under warranty for 30 days. Please let me know if you need me to provide this additional evidence and I will gladly make arrangements to do so. I paid in full for another company to complete the job that I originally paid Joe's company to complete. I am not seeking that payment (to [redacted]) or any other money from any damage caused to our belongings or our basement as a result of the flooding. I simply want our money back that we paid Joe's company for a job that they did not complete, which is obvious by the resulting flood in my basement. This job was under their 30 day warranty at the time of the incident, and we gave them the opportunity to come out and fix the issue. They chose not to do so within a timely manner, so we were forced to hire and pay another company to resolve the issue before more damage was done to our property. I am not obligated to allow my house to flood while they tell me that they'll be out whenever they are free. The bottom line is we did not get the service that we paid for, that service was within the warranty period that they offer, they were refused to come out to fix the issue within a timely manner, and as a result of their incompetent job we sustained flooding on our property. At the very least, we are entitled to a refund of what we paid them, which is all we are seeking with this complaint. Thank you.

Yeah we offered [redacted] to send somebody out after 12 in the afternoon he would not wait for service he refused to wait like everybody else it was a rainy day we had nine other calls and take care of I told him I could  have someone out there after 12 o'clock he refused to wait we offered to...

send somebody out there within four hours of his call .our company promises same day service and that's what we offered himand as far as being responsible for something else they found in his drain there is no way we could tell how that got in there we had clean the drain 10 days before that.that paper Tal could a got flushed down the toilet the day after I did the original jobwe cannot be responsible for what customers flushed down the toilet's or put down the drains but we did offer to send somebody out that same day [redacted] was being very unreasonable and and insisted on immediate service which we could not provide we did offer him service within four hours I don't know work better we could've done for him thank you Joseph Greenstein

We responded to [redacted] complaint we went out to the location and fix the problem the situation has been resolved because Joseph's affordable plumbing and heating stands by everything he does

Review: While installing a new tub the plumber dropped the tub, knocking the hot water shut off valve and pipe off. Water flowed and drenched the bedroom rug, the ceiling below and the carpet in the room below(living room). Water poured through the ceiling for about twenty minutes. I have pictures and a video to prove it. A bathroom floor tile was also cracked and not replaced as specified in the contract. The owner just caulked over the crack.Desired Settlement: bathroom tile replaced

bedroom rug cleaned or replaced

ceiling fixed in living room

rug replaced in living room

I just want to say this customer is lying we were there to correct major plumbing problems in his bathroom that was done four years ago by another contractor we were there correcting many issues that were not done properly by the last contractor first of all the pipe that he is talking about blew apart it was never solder properly to begin with I have the part I saved it I've already turn this claim over to my insurance company whether they want to pay him for the claim is up to them I told them I told my insurance company exactly what happened this customer has made several claims through his own insurance company for the damage that we were there correcting already it's true the pipe come apart but it had nothing to do with my guys touching the pipe it just blew apart on them when they were removing the tub it was never soldered the pipe that the gentleman is talking about was in the wall so my man couldn't of dropped the Tub it was in the wall where the pipe blew off from the shut off valve that supplies the water for the faucet above. The tub the pipe was in the trap door above and behind the bathtub that was being installed Turned the claim over to my insurance company [redacted] insurance ###-###-#### I personally think this gentleman should be found guilty of insurance Fraud Thank you Joseph [redacted] Owner of Joseph's Affordable Plumbing Heating&Drain cleaning if you need to speak to anymore employees that work at the job please let me know thank you

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Review: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:

The leak caused a lot of damage. The plumbing never leaked before they installed the tub. The tub was dropped and the exposed shut off valve and pipe was knocked off. One tile in the bathroom was cracked, it was supposed to be replaced. they caulked it together instead.

The bedroom rug was stained.

The living room ceiling was damaged further, there was damage from an earlier leak from the bathtub.

The living room rug was soaked from about 15 minutes of running water from the leak. A section of the rug and padding were removed after a few days because of the moldy ,musty smell.

I called Joseph's Affordable plumbing and asked Joseph , the owner for his insurance information. He would not give me the information and told me to sue him.

Joseph called back later that day with the insurance informationRegards,[redacted]

Looked up local plumbers in my area and josephs came highly rated. Called and told them my issues and made my appointment for the following day. They were prompt and did a phenominal job at a reasonable price. I would recommend this plumber to others.

Great company. I spoke to Joseph himself via the phone and he was very informative and respectful. Two plumbers arrived to my home the next day to do some pipe work. They were quick, efficient, and did a great job. The services were very affordable -- Joseph's Affordable lives up to their name!! Thanks!!
