Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response.I would like to expand on my complaint and also address the points stated in the response from Josh Lowe's DrEnergy SaverIn addition, as MrL*** has called me multiple different names by now, I would like to definitely state my name is ***, not ***, *** or ***. My first complaint about the heat was in June of I informed the company at that time that I had noticed a marked difference in the heat in my houseI had also discovered that they had removed the insulation from an entire room and left the room uninsulatedMrL*** initially assured me that the uninsulated room was the cause of the excess heat, but then backtracked and said it was not the room and I needed to install an air conditionerThey replaced the insulation they had removedHowever, I did not appreciate any improvementThey did not respond to my concerns about the heat again at that timeI can provide the e-mail exchange where I expressed my concerns as well as my thorough understanding of the insulation. When Josh L*** visited my house, he did so on a day that the high was degreesHe took a reading of the side of the house that was in the shade, and expressed amazement that the temperature was only degrees hotter than outsideMy downstairs at the time was degrees, and my upstairs was degrees at that time, have risen from a temperature of degrees earlier that morningI documented the temperatures on my own thermostatI certainly did ask him to come back on Saturday, when the high was 102, and to come in the afternoon so that he could take a reading of the attic space in the sunAlthough he said he would, he did not come.I also did say I would like to see him in small claims courtUnfortunately, upon consulting a lawyer that specializes in these matter, I discovered that in the contract with Josh Lowe's, they disavow that any product they install will actually do the job they claimFrom the contract, We specifically disclaim all other warranties (aside from the limited year warranty against defects), express or implied, including, without limitation, the warranty of merchantability and fitness for a particular purposeIn addition, the lawyer said, in his opinion and experience, the insulation was not correctThe foam insulation was applied to the rafters and not to the walls and floor, which would have sealed the house as well and prevented the conductive heat from which we are now sufferingSealing the roof also has created spaces both retaining heat and lacking ventilationAs to MrLowe's claim that the attic spaces are now “clean and suitable for storage”, approximately 85% of the space is not usable as it is not accessible and/or occupied by ducting, piping and the water heater. The fiberglass insulation I had previously was not “loosely attached” unless he is referring to the walls I had gutted in remodeling what was to become the nurseryThe insulation was adequate in keeping my house cool except for extremely hot days, and the only reason I was replacing the insulation was that I had discovered the original insulation was present in a portion of the exterior wallsI thought replacing the insulation would improve the cool retention even more, so I could be confident my daughter could nap during the day comfortablyAs an aside, I worked overnights until I gave birth, and was able to sleep upstairsDuring the hottest days, I would be overwarm by the late afternoon but never to the degree we are suffering now.In addition, he did not ask me not to “slander us on any third party sites.” He specifically said he required a legal contract (his words) to be signed preventing me from posting anything about the company on the internet or any social media to prevent me from slandering him or asking for further remediesI informed him that facts were not slander and refused to sign the contract.I also informed him that when I call the other insulation companies, I specifically requested professionals who had experience with foam insulation, even if they did not currently install itHe only allowed me to say one company's name before cutting me off and demanding to know to whom I spokeHe then accused “***” from that company of lying and that “***” did not know what he was talking aboutI do not know who “***” is and have not met him, but MrLowe did not allow me to continue listing the companies to whom I talked, just kept repeating that fiberglass does not work and the other companies did not know anything and were liarsI had informed him that I had spoken with an additional company before he visited, which is why I said four, and not three as stated in my letter. In regards to the "three things a house needs to be comfortable", in the past I have been able to easily cool my house at night and retain that coolness throughout the dayNow, my house becomes unbearable during the day and then retains that heat at night due to the overheated attic spacesIf I had not been able to obtain and installed a window air conditioning unit, my upstairs would have reached over degrees over the past few daysAs it is, even with the air condition on high and with fans to circulate the air, I have only been able to keep the temperature at degrees by the afternoon. I do not deny yelling at MrLowe as after it was evident he had no interest in resolving the problem he created, I had to ask him five times to leave my house. I find it unbelievable that MrL*** continues to claim that he “fixed” my house when I have had multiple opinions provided by professionals and my own experience documented over years to say the oppositeI feel that MrL***, despite being in the insulation industry, does not understand the difference between “conductive” heat and “radiation” heat, which is the reason my house is now hotterIn my agreement when contracting the job, it was also stated that I would receive photo evidence of the complete work, which did not happenAs to his request to be “left alone”, I think that a company that is “part of the largest home energy conservation contractor network in the world with over dealers nationwide” [sic] would be better at customer service, resolving complaints and dealing with criticismI decline his “offer” and find it ridiculous that he expects me would pay his company any more moneyI have already had two air conditioning companies estimate for a single head ductless heat pump at $3000, but they felt it would not be enough to cool the upstairs and counter the heatSo the “credit” he would be providing will be helping only himself. My final compromise is to receive a refund of $with no further work from Josh Lowe's DrEnergy Saver
Sincerely,

Complaint: ***
This is an impressive attempt at revisionist historyI said while MrL*** was leaving to come back at pm on SaturdayHe said he wouldThis is before I shut the doorI am unsure how further scheduling would be neededMrL*** outright stated that the other companies were liarsThere was no “coming across”, but an actual statement that he repeated. There is a difference between having a home reach degrees when it is >degrees outside than having a home be the exact temperature or higher than outsideWhen I am able to cool the house to degrees overnight, by MrL*** logic, the foam insulation should be sufficient to keep the house coolAs I said before, I can provide the email correspondence from months ago that shows I was already voicing my concerns about the heat in my houseAs I had to find and then pursue getting the insulation returned to the part of the house they left un-insulated, I then had to wait to see if that would help, as MrL*** initially said it wouldI refuse to sign any further documents from this companyI find their practices to be unprofessional and dishonorable
*** ***

*** contacted us in June of regarding the room being left uninsulatedWe had our crew back to her home to reinsulate it for her on their first available day and at no cost to ***As *** was escorting Josh out of her home, he requested access to the rest of her attic to document the amount of heat in thereShe said that he could come back on Saturday and then proceeded to close the door before Josh could respond and schedule this with her*** requested that the other insulation contractors send a professional with experience with spray foamHowever, the other companies do not have a background in spray foam and as Josh was trying to explain this, it came across as him calling them liars. We fixed the home’s insulation and brought it to the highest standards and the spray foam is doing its job.Any home without a cooling system will get hot when the outside temperature is hotInsulation is to help retain the cool air that is produced and being paid for by your cooling systemInsulation alone does not solve all comfort problems in a home, but is a big step in achieving desired comfort.*** stated that previous insulation was adequate except on hot days there again indicating a cooling system is needed in conjunction with insulation. We did the job that all parties agreed to and that was paid for years agoThe most we would be willing to offer is a cashier's check for $1,if *** is inclined to reach a settlement, which would include confidentiality and non-disparagement provisions drafted by our attorney
