I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I do not have the contract for the appliance.  There would be a copy in my file with Dr. Cadwell.  I asked for my entire file for my lawyer but did not get everything from them.  They even dummied up a letter I ask for that did not include all the information in the original letter from them.  Where is the honesty with this business?This statement from Cadwell is totally incorrect. Ms [redacted]'s facts seem to keep wandering from the well documented reality. WHAT!  HE MAKES ME SOUND LIKE THE BAD GUY HERE!!   She was offered a steep discount on a service that normally costs in excess of $3600, which includes an oral appliance, exam, x-rays, and follow up visits necessary to obtain optimal adjustment of the appliance.  Our typical cash discount at the time was $2200, which is far below the industry standard pricing for such a service.  Industry standard for such a service ranges from $3500 to $6000+.  She was offered an even steeper discount of $1800 which was not authorized by the management, but since she was given the pricing by our employee, we honored it to uphold the integrity of our organization as a good faith gesture.  SO NOT TRUE!!Of course this is his word against mine -- but, they are totally blowing this out of the realm of reality.  During my first appointment with Silent Sleep I was quoted a price of $1800.  He says it was not authorized by the management.  [redacted] was the one who gave me the price on my initial visit.  He is the one that is supposed to incharge of Silent Sleep appliances - I thought.   There was never any mention of a higher price at that time nor of any discount they were giving me.  The higher price was on the paperwork when I ordered the appliance.  I refuted it then and they changed it to the $1800.  Dr. Cadwell is making it sound like they were giving me this BIG discount.  I would not have ordered it if it was the price he was talking about.  Even at $1800 it  is a high price to pay.  But I figured if it worked as advertised, then it would be worth it.  However, it did not present the desired solution to my snoring problem.  He talks about integrity and a good faith gesture - when in reality that is totally off base.  If the cost normally is in excess of $3600 why are they offering it  for the lower price of $1800.  Looks like double talk to me.  He writes this to make his business come out in shining colors.  I have never dealt with a business as unjust as this.  My Morman upbringing taught me to live by honesty and integrity.  That is what I try to live by.  I would never refuse to pay for something like this if the business stood for honesty and integrity.  But they do not.  They turn the words around to make them sound like they are all righteous.  I am so disappointed with this business.I returned the appliance.  Regards,

Cadwell's response is no surprise to me.  I caught them in a true lie and now know that all their dealings with me was untrue.  Looks like the lawyers will have to duke it out.  I was hoping it wouldn't have to go to court but when a business truly demonstrates unfair practices, it is the best thing to do.  No matter what I say they turn it around to make them sound better.I am willing to take a polygraph to show I am telling the truth.  When Cadwell said the price was not sanctioned by management - that is totally incorrect.  [redacted] did check with management!So, please post my complaint on the Revdex.com so others can read and do not make the same mistake I made.

standard protocol to optimize the efficacy of the appliance.  The WA State Attorney General has found that we followed all appropriate avenues to satisfy the consumer complaint that Ms [redacted] filed and have closed the case.  She is aware of everything necessary to allow for a refund.  Ms [redacted]'s facts seem to keep wandering from the well documented reality.  She was offered a steep discount on a service that normally costs in excess of $3600, which includes an oral appliance, exam, x-rays, and follow up visits necessary to obtain optimal adjustment of the appliance.  Our typical cash discount at the time was $2200, which is far below the industry standard pricing for such a service.  Industry standard for such a service ranges from $3500 to $6000+.  She was offered an even steeper discount of $1800 which was not authorized by the management, but since she was given the pricing by our employee, we honored it to uphold the integrity of our organization as a good faith gesture.Silent Sleep Centers has be gracious in waiving all late payment fees, interest, and attorney fees accrued at this point.  She has been made aware, in writing, of the steps necessary to resolve this issue without incurring further expense.  However, she refuses to do so.  Our counsel is recommending we discontinue our grace period since she appears to be uncooperative and unwilling to participate in the resolution process.  Hopefully she decides to opt out of further delay of the resolution of this matter before it is out of our hands entirely to be flexible and amenable to the gracious terms offered to Ms [redacted].Best Regards,Silent Sleep Centers

Review: On 2/26/2015 I came in to get my teeth whitened, I had bought a session with them earlier on in the year at a discounted price for a customer appreciation special they had going on at the time. I called a few days earlier and made an appointment, I told them about the voucher and all they told me was to bring it in with me as proof I had purchase their services. After I got to my appointment they did some X-rays and checked my teeth, they informed me that I had a cavity and they felt it best I get that fixed before getting my teeth whitened and if I wanted to I could get it done now. I explained to them I did not have the money for that, it was $384.00 for the filing or $557.00 with a cleaning as well. They brought in a financial services lady who kept pressuring me to get this done, and even told me I needed to open up a credit card from my bank so I could pay them to do this. I again told them I could not do that and asked for my voucher to be extended since it expired in March of 2015 or a refund. She then went on to tell me that the voucher wasn't even from them and they were losing money from it, it just had the business name on there and since it had that they were allowing people to use it. All this time they knew about the voucher, agreed to do the service on the voucher that I had paid for, and kept the voucher as payment. She then went on to tell me this visit was $384.00 with a $19.20 discount because of the voucher I had brought in bringing it to $364.80, but she would wave that fee. So if I wanted to get my teeth whitened I would have to pay them at least $384.00, I went to my appointment and had paid to get work done, and left with nothing being done, a loss of money, and feeling so cheated, lied to and scammed.Desired Settlement: I wish to have the $64.96 I paid for the teeth whitening refunded to me, as I did not have the work done they agreed upon.

It appears that this customer is confused. I apologize for any confusion. It clearly states on the teeth whitening voucher that it was purchased from the New Line Smile company, not Cadwell Dental. If there are any refunds given those will be directly from New Line Smile. There is a toll free number on the voucher to call.

Review: In all my 72 years, I have not had the need to place a complaint against any business. I enter my complaint against Cadwell Dental / Silent Sleep for a couple of reasons. One, I want to voice my complaint so others will read about the unprofessional and dishonest service I received from Cadwell Dental and will avoid using their services. Two, I feel I was unfairly treated. My story is long and drawn out, but I will try to make it as succinct as possible.

Since Cadwell Dental is in my neighborhood, I decided to go there instead of my regular dentist. Big Mistake. I went in for a teeth cleaning ONLY. Before I knew what was happening, I was getting xrays (expensive xrays) and seeing the dentist. Again, all I wanted was to get my teeth cleaned and be on my way. Well, it was decided I needed crowns. One on each side of my mouth. Was he being honest. Who knows - So, I figured he must know what he is talking about. I went in for the crown on one side. After he was working on me for about an hour, he said I needed two crowns instead of the one. What could I do – immediately he had a gal come in for me to sign that I would pay for the two crowns…wow, I had used the gas and was pretty light headed but had to immediately sign where she indicated. He worked on me for 4 hours. I was wiped. Now, one year later I still cannot chew on that side of my mouth and am still taking ibophrane to ease the ache. Something isn’t right. But, I’ll never go back to find out why!

My main complaint is with the Silent Slumber portion of Cadwell Dental. What an experience. I went in for impressions so they could order the appliance for me. [redacted] was to get the mouth impressions. I’m not sure he was qualified. Wasn’t sure of himself and called Dr. Cadwell over to help. I ordered the appliance. The price quoted to me was $1800, but the paperwork indicated $3000. I was going to walk out at that point and forget about ordering it. Should have done that. After some discussion, they changed the price. When the appliance came in, I returned for the fitting. [redacted] inserted the appliance in my mouth and couldn’t get it out. He tried everything. Finally, one of the gals came over to help. First used a pen lid to try to pry it out…didn’t work. Then she tried a paperclip which cut my lip. So unprofessional. (Dr. Cadwell told the Attorney General’s office he was not aware of such activity. But yet, in his letter he said the “paperpclip” girl was not longer working there. Honesty? I don’t think so.) Finally got the appliance out somehow. Took the appliance to shave it down several times. Each time [redacted] complained the shavings were getting all over his clothes (like it was my fault). Finally got it to be able to be inserted and taken out easier. So I went on my vacation with my appliance. Used it for a week. My companion said it did not work. I still snored very loud. So I got back from vacation, and returned the appliance. I was not going to pay for something that expensive that did not work as advertised. The company that makes these appliances for Silent Sleep is located in Spokane, WA. They advertise a 90-day return policy on their website. Dr. Cadwell said it is not his website, however this website with the 90-day return policy has a link to Tri-Cities and Silent Sleep in Richland. Silent Sleep now advertises a return policy. Dr. Cadwell is trying to swindle me as he seems to have done with other (see other Revdex.com complaints.)

My complaint is registered and filed with the Attorney General’s office. Cadwell put forth misrepresentations in his letter to the Attorney General’s office.Desired Settlement: Cadwell Dental will honor the return policy and not seek financial issues. That they will take a good look at their business and recognize the unprofessionalism and dishonest image.

Review: I was seeing the dental company in 2008 and first part of 2009 for cleaning than left the company due to moving situations. and as of 9/20/2012 was just served papers from cadwell company for non payment of services for 1233.96. Now as I recall each time I seen the dental company thier was a payment that came out of my bank account for the time rendered so how do I owe a service that has not been rendered if in fact I have not seen the company in the time period I am being billed for. And I have never ever recieved a bill from this company until now.I do not owe this amount.Desired Settlement: To understand how I can be billed for a service thats not being serviced

There appears to be a great deal of confusion on [redacted] part. Services billed are only those performed while Mr. [redacted] was an active patient in our office. We've sent numerous letters, statements and other correspondence all with no response. This was later handed over to a collection agency after no response from Mr. [redacted]. After multiple attempts by the collection agency to work with Mr. [redacted], the case went to the legal department. Mr. [redacted] was deposed to appear in court and finalize the arrangements for handling this outstanding debt. Everyone appeared to the court hearing except Mr. [redacted]. At this point, the debt owed is out of our office and in the hands of the legal department at the collection agency. Please feel free to have Mr. [redacted] contact the YCCS collection agency for resolution at ###-###-####.

Cadwell Dental is a top notch organization. Doctor [redacted] skill is second to none in the Tri-City area and his staff is extremely professional and exceptionally knowledgeable.
