Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Regards,
*** ***

First off I apologize for not responding sooner and t thank you for the opportunity to respond My schedule for the last severalmonths and beyond has been consistent + hour work days with no time off and very little time to address issues such as this.First off to provide a summary of my
business.Marine Repair Service has been providing repair service to the boating community for nearly twenty years plus additional yearsof training and other engineering disciplines, some relating to the boating industryMy customer base comprises mainly of customerswho want projects done correctlyThey realize that many projects pertaining to boats take significant amount of time insome cases in order to get the project done and properlyThey seek out my services because of the attention to detail , thoroughnessand correct application of technologyMRS provides specialized repairs that main stream boat dealers, marinas etcare not able or willing to deal with as they are more concerned with fast turn around times with higher profits.MRS provides custom work and repairs, Ground up designs and installation of specialized ship systems for new boat build projectsAs well routine, standard repairs and maintenance are preformedMy customers are located in the Minneapolis/ StPaularea, Duluth, Superior, North and South Shore of Lake Superior to the East CoastCliental also consists of law enforcement andsearch and recovery agenciesIn the last year, with relocating to my present facility in Herbster, WI, where I reside, the workload has increased SignificantlyWith my locale it is also difficult to find and maintain a proper technician that can be trusted toperform work as requiredAdditionally, with my present schedule and sparse financial resources the present work force consistssolely of myself.Regarding issues of this complaint: In March of MRS was contacted by *** *** regarding needed repairs to hisLund Pro V WS HRRepair issue being that the transom, (rear end) of his boat was compromised in structural integrity.(essentially the wood core spanning the entire aft of the boat was rotted out.) This damage, caused in part by abuse, neglect, misuse improper storage of boat, was of significant natureThis damage, being extensive as it was, required removalof basically the entire aft section of the boat in order to effect proper repairsEssentially the transom of this boat was unable tosupport the weight of the mounted engines much less the thrust produced by the engines to propel the boatMr*** indicatedthat he was having difficulty in locating a repair facility that was able or ready to complete this repairIt was iterated to Mr.*** that because of the nature of the extensive repairs needed that this project would have been better suited as an overwinterrepair. At this time my work load was already intense with getting over-winter repairs and projects completedWith this in mind it wasexpressed to Mr*** that if it was at all possible to start repairs sometime during the first half of May Any time requiredto complete repairs was discussed /estimated only in terms of how many hours it would take to effect the needed repairs. This was provided so as to arrive at an estimated dollar amount for labor as well as to provide estimated materials required. No set or firm completion date was offered or promised or stipulated within the "estimate".-In response to MS*** claim that they did not even know where the boat was located. The ***'s boat was immediately placed in dry and secure indoor storageMr***, while being guided in, was the one whobacked the boat into the provided space within the storage buildingAs soon as space in the work shop was available for the***'s boat it was placed in that space in order to further protect it from the weather elements and to place it in the work ordercue.-Work began on the ***'s boat towards the end of MayTheir project, being attended to concurrently with other projects, was actually placed ahead of other customer's who were already in the repair order cueAgain to reiterate, several of thesecomplex and involved repairs are being attended to while also trying to tend to less technically demanding daily wacustomerneeds.• At the time that Mr*** began calling his project was in progress but as was explained, several times, that my shop wasextremely busy and trying to keep all projects in motionNever did either of the *** stop by to visit the shop to reviewprogress or attempt to get a better understanding of the nature of the extensive repairs being required for their boat.• Subsequent calls by Mr*** where only to find out how soon the boat would be ready and trying to enforce a deliverytime.• At this same time my cell service, (Verizon), which is limited at best was suddenly compromised by technical issues on theproviders side where callers could not get through, being told my number was disconnectedI was not even able to accessvoice mailThe nearest Verizon offices are 35-miles awayIt required several visits by myself to get the issue corrected.I do not have a record of any email being received through my web site serverNot to say they did not send oneWiththe hectic pace going on at this time, trying to answer all calls coming in became a further obstacle to getting work completed. So return calls were attempted as time permitted .The ***'s boat was completed July 15, Mr *** arrived to inspect the repairs and indicated satisfaction of the workperformed and was surprised to amount of damage(as shown through the removed damaged parts and videos of the repairprocess) The entire project took longer than estimated (in dollar amounts) thus increased costs to Marine Repair ServiceMr.*** was charged the original estimated costHe agreed and promptly paid.Their pressures, though appropriate for them, were not any inducement for getting the boat completedI strive to get projectsdone as soon as can be accomplished but with also the top priority of having any repairs done as correctly as possibleWiththe extent of repairs required here there also was never any requests from my shop to receive down payments or deposits forrepairs or materials, charges incurred for protective storageNor was any down payment or deposit offeredThe extent of therepairs required, again, should have been considered in Fall of 2014, as an over winter repair. It is unfortunate that Ms*** feels slighted and offended by this event to the point where it was felt necessary to proceed inthis mannerI apologize for not meeting her expectations of delivery time she felt was appropriate but all aforementioned effortsto get the boat ready were exerted by meI had no intentions of ignoring her phone requests, (or any others) but prioritiesbeing as they were it was necessary to keep working away at all projects.Againthank you for the opportunity to respond to this concern and again I apologize for the delay but this is about my firstchance to devote any time to this.Sincerely.*** ***Marine Repair
