Review: I had purchased an ad thru the Merrill Foto News office, which was not published on the date promised, and was told it would be in the following week's paper. I called on Monday, to verify that it would be in the paper, and was told the week prior they "forgot" about my ad, and that in fact it would be in the current weeks paper. It was not in that publication either. I called them back the next day, and spoke to Jamie, who offered me a free 1 week ad, and my money back. My ad was finally published in the next weeks paper(by this time the puppies that I had purchased the ad for were already sold) , but I have waited 2 weeks, and still have not gotten my refund. I was told my refund needed to come from the corporate office in Waupaca, and I was provided their phone number. I spoke with someone in that office, and was told I would receive a call back, and I have not heard anything from them. I would like my $50 refund, as promised by [redacted] at the Merrill Foto News office.Desired Settlement: I would just like my $50 refund, as promised. I was told it would be credited back to my Visa, and I'm fine with that.

This complaint has been resolved but your letter of 9/12/13 just came across my desk so I wanted to be sure you were informed.

According to our records, the ad referred to in the complaint did run, albeit 2 weeks late, as the customer stated. Due to clerical error, the customer's card was never charged. After repeated attempts to contact the customer, we did issue a refund check in the amount of $50, which was cashed.

So the customer got the ad, at no charge, plus a $50 refund. We're assuming that is why the customer will not return our calls.
