viewed the garment under our UV lighting.Summary: According to the garment analysis form the care label instructions were not followed as the garment was dry cleaned in a recognized dry cleaning processHowever it's our opinion that the condition of the garment has nothing to do with the care processWhen we removed the garment from the shipping package we noted a stiong odor of cologne or body lotionsWhen we viewed the garment under our UV lightir g we noted a staining substance around the collar, sleeves, cuffs and both front and back panelsMost of these staining substances glow which shows that they contain a percentage of sodium chlorides such as perspirationSilk fibers are very sensitive to tannin substances such as cologne, perspiration, body lotions, soda beverages, beer, wine, fruit juices and foodsThese substances can be invisible to the naked eye when they come in contact with a garment but soon begin to deteriorate the fibers and dyesDuring the care process the garment is subjected to mechanical action which removes the surface soils and heat which accelerates a chemical reaction further deteriorating the fibers and dyes.The care process is a total immersion processDuring this process the entire garment receives the same treatment so it would not cause this type of local color loss, The condition of the garment is not due to the care process but from the users wear and care of the garmentWe can find no evidence to suggest that the garment was mishandled in the Care process.Our opinion is based on the information provided to us on the analysis form, our laboratory inspection and from tests conducted with the garment.------------------------ --
