Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The landlord at the beginning pointed out that I didn't clean the house, and there were stains on the wall as you can see from the checklist I sent in my first compliantIt is unreasonable to spend $on cleaning and $on toupaintAnd now she moved to the warping floor issueWhat about the previous cleaning and painting thing? She didn't mention any of that laterIt is obvious that her original intention was to take all my security depositWhen I moved out, there was still another girl living on the place, and my friend also came to help me movingThey could definitely be the witnessAnd my current landlord also said " if I can retrieve from my files your landlady's recommendation it will be her own statement that you are a good tenant doing proper cleaning." For the floor problem, first I think it is a common wear and tearEven if I don’t have a dog, I might still get some minor warping like thatAccording to Rochester housing law, it is illegal to use security deposit on common wear and tearSecondly, at the beginning, the landlord said there were two panels and now there are boardsWhy there is a difference? Thirdly, since my landlord had lied too much, I don't believe my landlord really contacted the company for the flooring product and whether that's the company they got the floor fromI also did my own research about the floor that HomeDepot/Lowe/AFI has the same flooring productsFifthly, when she wrote the quote, she just sent the professional the floor square feet and the flooring she wants to ask a quotationThe professional didn't come and visit the placeAnd she wrote square feet, however, the room is not that bigLastly, even there is no flooring products that match, is she really going to replace the floor? If she is not, then there should be only a depreciation cost rather than replacing costAs I said before, I also talked to other previous tenant about their experienceI had attached all the messages in this email as well$is not a small amount of moneyAs a poor student who just out of college and look for a job, $can be used for a month’s rent and days of grocery in where I liveI really hope that you could help me fight for the justiceRegards,*** *** ***

Dear Revdex.com,I'm very sorry  to hear that a complaint has been made. The truth is that a lease was agreed upon and signedregarding what was expected of Tenant  during lease term and when vacating premisesThe Tenant requested having a dog on premises and was specifically told and she understood...

that any damageto the home resulting from damage to the flooors would be her entire responsibility. The Tenant upon moving in covered her bedroom floors to protect the laminate wooden floors from any damagefrom the dog. The dog was going to potty on wee we pads in her room. At some point she removed the floor covering.[redacted] left her dog alone in her room for entire days, She left for school in the early morning and didn't return tilllate night, there were times after 11 pm that [redacted] had to be called to come home and take care of the dog.Her security deposit was $850.00.  The warped floors ran across 6 boards wide.  The style floors are no longer available wherethey were purchased 4 years ago.  We have been told from the store where the floors were purchased that they were no longer available. and that the locking mechanism used to install these floors would not work with another style floor.  Even if the locking mechanism would work with another type floor, it would be trial and error at an expense and then be faced with a patched floor.  Unfortunately without looking at her other damages to the property, holes made in the wall behind her bedroom knob andanother bedroom door knob, this would exceed her security deposit without including a clean up fee. In writing [redacted] admitted to the damages, her signed lease is very clear, and she understood what was expected of her and whatwould be her responsibility.  I'm sorry that she is facing financial duress but that does not disqualify her from her responsibility.
