Joyce Honda Reviews (11)

I'm sorry the customer feels the way she does as she is certainly entitled to her opinion. Unfortunately, we have no concrete proof that her bumper was damaged while it was in our possession and the customer has no proof that it happened here as well.Under the circumstances, I feel Joyce Honda is making a very fair offer to share the cost of repairs. We will not provide reimbursement of any dollar amount to a third party auto body shop to repair the "chipped bumper". This is our final decision and the customer may contact me directly if she would like us to repair her vehicle.  [redacted]

As of this morning, I have authorized a $100.00 incentive check payable to the customers boss. After reviewing my salespersons worksheet (Mr. Manny [redacted]), it would appear that a discussion of a 2.0% interest rate was discussed with Mr. [redacted] and a $50.00 referral fee. I want to apologize to Mr....

[redacted] for the discrepancy in the rate quoted and I would also like to offer him a complimentary "express service" for his time in pursuing this issue. I would ask that when Mr. [redacted] requires his next "express service" that he contact me directly. Thank-you!Larry [redacted] - GM Joyce Honda ###-###-#### X [redacted] ###-###-#### mobile

I am rejecting this response because:
Joyce Honda assumes that it could have happened in my "urban area" (North Bergen) which it did not since I have a driveway and I have cameras. I would like to take it to my dealership since it is a leased car and have them repair the damages and have the Joyce honda pay the repairs. As the employee said there was no scratch on the car. As you said when I went all of the mechanics are recorded on camera so just check the camera to see if it was there when the car was put up.  The manager told us to come in tomorrow since everyone who looks at the cameras left at 5. Then the next day the cameras aren't working for a week. Wouldn't you know that as a manager who is a running a dealership. Why would you have us come back tomorrow.

Review: On 10/24/2014 my newphew and I went in to Joyce Honda to check out cars we were considering purchasing and or leasing. I leased my car and my newphew purchased his car that day. After reviewing my documents I noticed that I was charged $1000 more in the sales price over what my newphew paid. I was informed after I question the difference in cost I was told by Mr [redacted] that I paid $800 in bank fee. I was never at the time of the sale that I would be required to pay a bank fee. My agreement does not list the sales price on it nor does it list a bank fee. I feel this is deceptive and I was hoodwinked in purchasing a car that I paid a higher price for than my nephew. In essence I was ripped off and taken advantaged of. I believe that all fees should be disclosed at the time of a purchase or lease. At the time I also traded in my card and used $3000 as a down payment on the lease carDesired Settlement: I would like the sales price to be the same as my nephew and the $800 refunded to me. I feel cheated and did not think deceptive and undisclosed information should be allowed.

Review: I purchased a car in November 2013 from the used car sales department, unfortunately the car was totaled in April 2015. During the time of the purchase I purchased a GAP contract with the dealer. When it came time to settle the loan on the vehicle, the GAP was responsible for paying the remainder of the car, but they did not. They told me the dealer was responsible for giving me a refund. Not understanding this process, I waited for someone from the dealership to call me. I didn't receive a call for weeks, so I called the GAP company back and they said they had sent a letter to the dealership regarding my case. When I called the dealership they said they never received a letter. So a finance manger attempted to help me. I sent him all that he needed to know and the GAP company even faxed over another letter to them. So once again, I wasn't contacted for weeks. I was told to be patient, which I already was. So finally I go into the dealership looking for my check and they have no record of it. When I first arrived I went to the used car department and asked to speak to the General Manager and he refused to speak to me. I seen him and he sent one of his employees to ask me what did I need. If anyone asks to speak to the manager, you take time to speak to them. I know he was busy but I did not mind waiting. I was told to go to another department. I spoke with another manager and I provided him with everything he needed, I didn't hear from him neither. So I called again and the manager I was dealing with was no longer with the company. So when I spoke to someone else he then tells me that the money does not go to me it goes to the bank. The loan from the car was completely paid off with a balance of $0.00. I paid the remainder of the car waiting for the check from the dealership. I was told that they would issue me a check. This situation had been going on since June 2015 and it is now October 2015. I get no where with this company every single time I talk to them.Desired Settlement: I would like the check in the correct amount to be given to me and not the bank. They have the payoff letter, that they requested. The loan company told me that my money was mine and I rightfully deserve it. I have been waiting for months and it is not fair to me.

Review: a'sent to Joyce Honda's website and saw a 2009 [redacted] Tiguan for sale for $8,995. I contacted the dealer to inquire about the price I was sent an email back confirming. I went to Joyce Honda on July 18th to test drive the car. The car was missing a stereo at the time which made me believe even more that the internet was accurate. other than that the car was in great shape. I went with the salesman back to the office to talk about price. The salesman printed out the internet price and confirmed the that that was the Internet offer. the salesnen brought the printout to his manager then came back to me and told me the price on the Internet was wrong. He told me the car was $18,995. I told him I only came here for the car that was listed on their website for $8995 and I would like to purchase it for that price. I told the salesman that this feels like its a bait and switch and I will contact my lawyer. The salesman told me that I can see you if I want to but I will lose.Desired Settlement: I wish to purchase the car for $8,995 as advertised on the internet.

Review: We are proud Honda owners. We have a 2005 Odyssey and just purchased a 2013 Honda Pilot from Joyce Honda dealership. I clearly discussed the price and it was 535/m for 60 months after trade my SUV. I specifically asked about any other charges from Mr [redacted] (apologize if the name is misspelled) who handle the purchase. He said around $100.00 for plates and he confirmed thats it.

Today, I was at the dealership to collect the plates and they wanted me to pay $417.00. I explained about the clear facts and he said he is sorry but I will have to pay $417.00 and I will have no other options. I told him that I did not agree to pay $417.00 and I told I dont want to pay that much. He was very firm and repeated that he apologize for incorrect information but he will not change his mind. I requested to reduce $300.00 from my purchase and if not take the Pilot back and I need to cancel everything. He did not do any help but said " you have no options but pay $417.00". I said give me extended temporary plates and I will raise this to Honda or the owner of the dealership. He refused and told me that he can not give more temporary plates and insisted me to pay $417.00. His reactions was very different between the time of purchase and after purchase. At the time of purchase, I was treated like a king and at the time of after sale issue I was treated like a beggar that I have to request to take off additional $300.00. In fact, only today they explained that it is because new plates and around $100 will be for plate exchange. How ever, I was not told that before and he clearly said around $100 at the time when I collect the plates.Desired Settlement: Please return me the additionally charged $300 and advise Mr Mr [redacted] to avoid giving misinformation and treat inappropriately when there is a complain.

Review: I went in for an oil change and they chipped the paint off my bumper. (My car is Honda 2015) I scheduled an oil change which was done rather quickly about an hour and half. When I left it was raining really hard so I didn't look at my car. When I got home I noticed that a piece of paint was chipped off the bumper. On my receipt was also an advertisement saying that they work with an auto body shop to fix scratches and chips which was conveniently there. I Called the dealership and spoke to [redacted] and told Him they chipped the bumper. He told me to bring the car in to take a look at it. I go to the dealership and spoke to ** the manager at the time it was about 5:30p. The worst manager I have ever encountered. I explained to him the situation and asked why didn't they give me a paper that had the scratches from the beginning and he said because customers don't like that. That's so they can scratch it and have you fix it with them.

He said that all the mechanics are recorded so they wouldn't do that. I told him if he could look at the camera of the mechanic or when I brought the car in to see if it was there and HE TOLD ME I NEED TO PAY HIM FOR THE TIME HE IS GOING TO BE WASTING LOOKING AT THE CAMERA FOR ME AND THAT I COULD PAY HIM IN CHECK. What manager or dealership says that to a client. He should be trying to prove me wrong. HE TOLD ME I HAD TO LEAVE THE PROPERTY OR HE WAS GOING TO CALL THE POLICE. I told him to call the police. The police came to the dealership and he was trying to tell the employee that brought the car to the mechanic to lie to the police saying there was a scratch there already. I explained what happened and police said he had to look through the video. His excuse was no one that works the camera was on shift. The police said they will come back the next day. The next day I got a call from the officer and when he went to the dealership they showed him that the cameras haven't been working for a week. Now I'm stuck paying out of pocket.Desired Settlement: I would like to get an estimate from another Honda dealership or auto body place to fix the scratch. Since my car is leased I need to pay for damages. I want them to pay for the damage.

Business

Response:

According to the customer, we damaged her vehicle. She goes further to suggest that we "did this deliberately" so that we can make additional profits by recommending to her that our body shop do the repairs. This is ridiculous and an insulting thing to say. We have been in business for 41 years as a Honda dealer in Denville, New Jersey with an excellent reputation. If we damage a customers car while it is in our custody and control, we fix it! Period. The damage that Miss [redacted] refers to is on her left rear bumper. Her car is white and I am told that the paint chip has exposed the black plastic bumper beneath the paint which would have been highly noticeable. I spoke with her service advisor ([redacted]) who inspected her car when she pulled in and was told that he did not see the paint chip. The customer fails to point out that she lives in a urban area (North Bergen) where most people park on the street. This could have very easily happened if someone were attempting to parallel park behind her car (backing into a parking space) or someone pulling out of a parking space while parked directly behind her. We cannot take responsibility for her damage. However in the interest of goodwill and customer satisfaction, I would be willing to share the cost equally with her and have my body shop repair her paint chip. I will not consider paying some other body shop to repair her paint chip as she has suggested as I cannot control the cost or the quality of such a repair. The customer is welcome to contact me directly for further resolution if she so desires. My cell phone is [redacted] and my email is [redacted] - VP - General Manager 12/22/15

Review: I purchased a used car and asked to have the plate transferred from the vehicle I traded [redacted] plates). When the renew arrived the salesman couldn't find the plate. They ordered me a new plate. On 5/7/14 my temp plate expired. So on that day I sent [redacted] (salesman) an email at 3:23pm asking for a new temp. Turns out that he had the day off. So on 5/8/14 at 3:40pm I left [redacted] a voicemail. On 5/12/14 I received a message from [redacted] (used car manager). I got in touch with him and was informed that my new plate had arrive but that there was a fee. After I informed him that I had already paid the $240 fee for a transfer, he said he would look into it and get back to me. I left another voicemail for [redacted] 2 hours ago. It's now 5/13/14 at 3.27pm and I have not heard back. And I'm still driving with an expired temp.Desired Settlement: I would like my plate.

Review: On 7/10/15 I brought my 2005 [redacted] to be serviced for the AC not working. I spoke with [redacted] and told him that I had just been to STS who tested the unit saying it was fine and there was another problem causing the unit not to work.Luis told me that STS was uncapable of making that determination and Honda would need to run a test themselves and their test would find the problem. After having my truck for over 6 hours. [redacted] called to tell me that the test determined there was no problem with the AC unit and it was running fine but he did notice a crack in the radiator and it would need to be replaced. [redacted] told me that the crack in the radiator was not the cause of the AC unit not working. He said it was a completely separate issue and the AC was working fine. I was charged 171.19. On my way home I noticed the AC was still not working. I called and spoke with service manager [redacted].I told him I wanted my money back because the AC unit was not working and I told [redacted] already of STS findings. [redacted] said to bring it back in and they would make it right.I brought my truck back in on 7/13/15. I spoke to a different tech who told me the truck was overheating. He said this was the cause of the AC unit not working.I explained what happened with [redacted] and [redacted].Later that day [redacted] called me and I again requested my money back for the unneeded AC test. He explained that he would only give me half my money back if I buy the new radiator and he would put it towards that. I told him no and he said then he would not give me any money back. I told him I wanted to speak with [redacted] and he told me that [redacted] was not in until the evening. When I came in in the evening to speak with [redacted] I was told at the front desk that [redacted] had left for the day and never works evenings an and infact was there when I was speaking with [redacted] earlier. I have since left several unanswered messages for [redacted] has not called me back at all.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a full refund. I also think that [redacted] and [redacted] should be held accountable for the horrible customer service. Especially [redacted]. He is the servie manager and as such should try and resolve any customer complaints.

Review: I purchased a pre-owned 2011 Honda Accord Crosstour on August 19, 2014. Dealer issued a temporary tag. On September 19, 2014 Dealer issued second temporary tag, claimed car was bought at auction and title was lost. I called Dealer and [redacted] made calls on my behalf to get status of new title. October 20, 2014 Dealer issued third temporary tag claiming even though calls were made to the State, they still could not give a date certain the title would be in their hands. I then contacted the State myself, did research - found it is illegal to keep issuing temp tags. I advised the Dealer of this, but was told they could not do anything. I called Dealer again on November 25, 2014, asked to speak to [redacted] and was instead connected with manager [redacted], who advised she would relay my issues to [redacted] and get back to me. Ms. [redacted] called me back the next day offering a couple of tire rotations and oil changes for my trouble. I advised that would not settle the issue. I still had no license plates and did not legally own my car. Ms. [redacted] advised she would call me back, but she did not. December 1, 2014 I called Ms. [redacted] at 10:30 and 11:30 am, leaving messages with my phone number, with no response. At 2:15 pm on that day I went to the Dealership and appeared at her desk asking what was being done on my behalf. I was told to speak with [redacted], the GM. I did so and after a few minutes, Mr. [redacted] told me “I will see you in court.” After 106 days of owning my car, I still have no license plates because the Dealer has not obtained a title for the car.Desired Settlement: I would like the Dealer to obtain the title to the car, thus enabling them to give me my license plates. If this is not possible, I would like the Dealer to reverse the sales deal because they obviously cannot be trusted to execute their responsibilities in completing a sale properly and legally.
