JP Auto Repairs

I took my car to this mechanic, *** for my time and chain to be replaced in my 2002 grand marquis. (Note at time of chain going out my car had no operating issues). I supplied my own time and chain parts along with a new thermostat with thermostat gasket since it can be replaced while the valve cover is off for time and chain repair. Decided to replace thermostat due to age of car not because of any issues. left my car there for repairs and *** called me explaining that my time and chain had caused damage to my gear shaft in which he had already sent out to repair. The repairs started without him asking or advising me of extra costs.. He had my car about 2 weeks. I arrived to pick up my car on completion The total he was charging $1600!!! I had to pay $1200 in order to get my car in which I need for work etc. it rode rough and smelt of burning oil. I returned right back and he rode with me to say he felt nothing and smelled nothing. Oil has a very distinct loud smell and I know how my car rides. Right then I knew something was wrong with his work. I knew he was not going to take responsibility given the fact he said he couldn't feel my car shaking like it wanted to cut off and the smell of oil. I took my car to a different licensed mechanic and he showed me where JP Auto had spilled oil down onto two of my coils. And on top of it did not change my gaskets when he had my intake off which every mechanic knows should be done. You cannot seal old gaskets. My coolant was leaking because JP Autobdid not silicone the thermostat housing gasket. Now costing me to repairs close to the amount of the cost for this sorry mechanic to do initial job. I was losing coolant and oil due to *** not repairing or putting things as they should be. I called *** complaining and again him in denial. He admitted to not changing the gaskets but took no responsibility for the other problems cause by him nor his inexperienced mechanics. He is a crook and should not be in business. It's costing me for his mistakes.
