Review: I was contacted by this company, which represented to be on behalf of Microsoft Windows. Said they had noticed that I was having frequent errors show up, offering to fix problem and track for coruption and fix problems. (I was having frequent error messages come us at the time). Before the fix the had several levels of service which they provided, 2yr, 5yr, or LIFETIME. I went with the LIFETIME for $399 for which I gave a CC# and they were given access to my system to "fix" the problems. After it was too late, I realized that the had gained access to all my personal data within the system.I tried to cancell to no avail. I too the computer to have the system checked and cleaned up. They were unable to clean out the imbeded s/w they had installed. I had to replace the HD and start all over with my computer system.Several months later, the company contacted me to refund my money, requiring a valid CC# which I stupidly supplied. They immediately charged over $400 to the new card, not crediting or refunding.I have been contacted several times (quote) trying to refund my money, but always insiting that I provide a valid CC#. I keep requesting that they send me a valid check to refund the money which they isist that they cannot do.After several of these attempts today, 6/**/13 they called back to say that they were sending me a draft refund via e-mail, which would be for a minimum amount of $700plus of which I should print out, deposit and send them back the overpayment. I accused them of pulling scams and they hung up on me.Desired Settlement: I would like to have $399 refunded in valid funds, and the public made aware of this scam tactic being used.
