Dear [redacted] ,I am sorry that you are not satisfied with the solution that was offered to you In a good faith effort, we have already refunded you $which represents 1/of the original finishing charge Unfortunately, we cannot take the pieces back because of the shipping cost involved I don't believe it would make sense for either party to incur the additional cost Please take into consideration also that you chose a color from an image on a computer screen that best represents the true shade of the color Hand finishes always tend to differentiate not only from an online image but also from an actual color sample Even if we sent you new pieces, we can;t guaranty that it will match the trim in your house.In your response, you mention that the estimate you received from local refinishers to refinish the pieces will cost more than the furniture I find that hard to believe but I am willing to try to still resolve this to your satisfaction Please share with me what your refinishing estimates are and I will try to contribute a portion of the cost.I take all of our customer's complaints very seriously and I would like to make you happy Contrary to the statement in your response that "we pretty much expect the fact that this won't be solved to our satisfaction", I believe we can work something out Please let me know your thoughts on how we can resolve this

I am in receipt of your final notification of status of this caseWe sent an earlier email, following Gothic Customs initial response, which we never received a reply for, nor did it appear on our complaint fileUnderstand that my reply options were severely limited (by your site's menu) when it came to acknowledging whether the case had been solvedIn a nutshell, if it means anything, Gothic Custom refunded us $That was our shipping cost for the entire projectIt didn't come close to half of what it would have cost us to have the furniture refinishedThe problem that exists is that, based on the process they used to finish the cabinet, local refinishers indicate that the cost to refinish exceeds the cost of the furniture itself.In our opinion, the only viable option is to return the cabinet to Gothic (to attempt to resell) and have new cabinets delivered in the shade that we requestedBased Gothic's reluctance to consider this action, we don't consider the matter resolvedHowever , in light of Gothic's and the New York City Revdex.com's latest response, we pretty much except the fact that this won't be solved to our satisfaction...? Early on, we came to the conclusion that they don't plan to seriously address the situationGiven the long distance and the cost of pursuing, I suspect Gothic deems their exposure to be of little concernWe just felt that we needed to express our displeasure to a local, self-regulating agency for the purpose of having established a record ? ?
