DO NOT USE JPAY TO SEND MONEY TO ANY INMATE IN ANY STATE THEY SERVICEThey claim to want to help families but the are looking out for themselvesThey all of a sudden charge credit cards as cash advance fees and want to blame the credit card companies and/or bankThat's BS they process the credit card as a cash advance to collect the money quicker than to process the card as an electronic transaction, which takes a few days longer to have the credit card company verify the charge is not fraudThey get your money plus charge you a fee to use their service, and now your stuck with not only a cash advance fee also higher APR % on the transactionI had been a faithful user since but this last gimmick is were I am DONE with this company I called customer service to speak to them about the cash advance transaction, not only did they blame my credit card company they denied any responsibility They not only blame someone else they dont even apologize or try to make the wrong a right All they had to say was your your debit card next time we cant reverse the transaction My DEBIT CARD, clearly they want your money as soon as the punch in YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATIONTHIEVES!!!! I have a son that I bought a JPplayer in June 0f He attended his first semester of school and was issued another playerUpon completion, around the beginning of September he gave back the school tablet and his Jpay player did not get reactivatedHe filed tickets and did not get any resolution by the end of OctoberI sent a few emails to Jpay with the only response and I quote " I am a robot and your email is being sent to a human which will respond" I did not get a response and called myself on November 18thThe people we helpful and by November 22nd an RMA was issued for a new unit due to programming issues which my son received a confirmation emailTo put it in a nutshell this did not receive a replacement and my last few calls have been very frustratingBottom line as of December 14th no one can help me and I was told the inmate must go through the kiosk for a resolution even though several tickets/responses have been made and they are telling him to do the same thingsThere is an escalation process on my end which I have had done twice but I am still waiting to be contactedThe last few calls the customer service reps are very friendly but the supervisors just regurgitate the same thing....the inmate must go through the kiosk even though it has been over weeks with no resolution

Jpay was a source to put money on my grandsons spendable account while he is in custody Last month they added a $fee on top of a $fee to process a $payment, They did not tell me this was going to be done Now I have $added to the $they used to charge I am telling every one I know NOT to use jpay They should not have a good rating with the Revdex.com ***

J-pay is the biggest rip-off there is. Avoid them at all costs. And they bough Securus, so avoid them too. It took me three months to cancel Securus because they did not bill all the phone calls, even though I paid the account in full, even for all the unbilled calls . So for 3 months, I would be charged a transaction fee, and then the phones would be cut off to my relative. Then I would pay the transaction fee, and would have to pay a transaction fee for the privilege of paying the transaction fee. Finally after 3 months of paying transaction fees and fees upon fees it stopped.
J-pay charges a $10.45 transaction fee, and then they put it through to the credit card company under a cash advance code which prompts anohter $10 fee from Visa. So it costs $20.45 in fees just to fund commissary.

My husband received a jp5 player that was defected. I called for 3 weeks having to speak with a variety of people and getting no where. Then on my 4th week of calling I was told he woukd receive a new player and an email would be sent to him. He did not receive that email instead he received an email saying that the player was no longer under warranty and that the family had to put out more money for a new player. Thus company is a rip off taking your money from you. I have heard several comolaints this company deserves a big fat F.

customer service makes you feel like the criminal! Tried sending some funds to a family member and the site seemed like a logical idea but customer service agents are non responsive and when I called in, was asked to fax in personal ad financial information? Seems like a scam? I have been doing online payments for years and never treated so poorly and with attitude, asked to speak with supervisor and not even certain it was one as original operator was caught laughing in the background at my trying to work out a reasonable solution to unjustifiable request of sending over fiscal information.

Jpay is a rip off, have been waiting since november 2015 for a jp5 player, still no resolution,

The fees this company charges are outrageous and unreasonable.
$6.50 to send $20????? REALLY?

JPAY is nothing more than a legal scam between the prison & this company

One would think that the State of Georgia could and would pick a better communication provider for their inmates to communicate with their families but they choose by far the WORST provider known to man - Jpay is a Joke.

I purchased a jpay player for my brother who is incarcerated in Feb 2016. The player is defective, he is unable to listen to music. He opened a ticket they failed to respond. I called Jpay and was told he just needs to wait for a response. I advised that they were supposed to acknowledge his ticket within 24 hours its been several weeks. Then the representative said well the warranty is only good for 30 days, there is nothing they can do for him. REALLY JPAY REALLY?? Scam. You take peoples hard earned money when trying to support their loved ones, and this is how you treat them.
