replace the roof on his dwelling, small shed and drywall repairs (kitchen). The total cost of damages to his property was approximately $13,478.27 dollars (see enclosed estimate from [redacted]). [redacted] roof was a special order ([redacted]). The following is a brief synopsis of cost of materials and labor: Insurance estimate, $13,478.27, main dwelling roof, $11,792.22 (100% percent completed), small shed roof, $851.85 (50% completed, with materials @ residence), kitchen interior repair, $336.73 (not completed), reglaze window, $69.22 (not completed) and labor for drywall, window and insulation, $428.25 (not completed). We complied with 90% percent of our signed agreement, thus my sub-contactors completing 90% percent of the work. [redacted] gave me two checks, totaling $6,000.00 and I paid for materials totaling, $5,784.47. I also paid $215.00 for fuel (82 miles round trip from San Antonio to Hondo), which in turn I made a total of ten trips. During the course of replacing [redacted] roof, I began to notice that [redacted] seemed troubled by our presence on his property. Truthfully, he became erratic and his behavior became unpredictable. He began to threaten me and my sub-contractors and he threatened to contact the police and press criminal charges on us. [redacted] said he had no plans to pay me anymore money and he ordered me off his property. I question whether this individual is deeply disturbed. [redacted] is over 80 years old and I suspect he maybe suffering from Dementia or is Psychotic. I have several witnesses that can attest to his erratic behavior. My sub-contractors and I do not need to work in a hostile environment. I immediately reported [redacted] to [redacted] (see enclosed copy of E-mail), because [redacted] said he was going to keep the insurance payments for himself. This is clearly insurance fraud! To date, [redacted] owes me $6,007.75, this is for the main dwelling roof. I explained to [redacted] that I would accept $3,600.00 and that he could get someone else to finish the project. At that time, he stated he was not going to give me one more dime and as far as he is concerned I was paid in full. [redacted] is a very difficult person to work with and he is under the impression that the insurance money is his own personal bank account. With that said, he feels that he doesn't owe me anymore money, but he is greatly mistaken. [redacted]
