JPMorgan Chase Credit Card Reviews (4971)

No one home, on hold 96 minutes!
I have an Elan credit card and want to change to a Chase card that fits my lifestyle. I had an issue with a freeze on my equifax acct which I did not know about. After 3 calls to Chase and one to equifax I got that problem corrected. Then I was told Chase could not approve my card immediately but if I could talk to the credit verification dept. the issue would be addressed. I was put on a "short hold". I am still on hold, I have been on hold for 95 minutes. Is this an example of the customer service I can expect. I have never been on hold for 95 minutes with any company in my life and I have been a banker for 20 years. I want to change my current Elan card for the Chase Sapphire card. However, Elan has fantastic customer service. They are fantastic when dealing with fraud, problem merchants and any issue that is of concern to the card holder. After holding for 98 minutes now, I will look more in depth at their customer service reviews. If their 98 minute hold times are the norm my Elan card blows this card out of the water. I do not believe JPMorgan Chase even plans on picking up my hold. No company would consciously have a customer wait over 1.5+ hours on hold. I am disabled and customer support is very important to me. This is a sad example of the opinion JPMorgan Chase has of its customers.

Chase Credit card opened a card in my name without my permission
I set my account up to pay the amount due each month that I had bought. So Chase did this but would not take the interest out of my bank account and instead put it back on my statement as a "purchase" then charged interest on the interest. They did this over and over till I had almost a $5,000 bill. I decided to drop them and paid the bill "in Full", cancelled the card and thought that was that. Chase then sent me another bill for $125 saying they couldn't get the automatc payment. I called and said you couldn't get it because I paid the card in full and cancelled it. They said it didn't matter because I was set up for automatic payments so I needed to pay the late fee. I didn't. They charged interest on the late fee and rolled it back onto a new card they took out in my name. They did not send me a card, did not give me a pin, did not ask permission, did not even tell me they were going to open a new account in my name. They just did it. I called and argued it and got no where so now my "paid in full" status is back to me owing $125.xx. I would be sure they would say I am paid in full once again and then start this interest on top of interest thing. How is Chase Credit card legally allowed to open a credit card in my name without disclosing this to me nor asking my permission?

Chase does not have your back.
When it comes to scammers, Chase does not have our back. They make millions of dollars off of s[censored] who make a purchase, find out it was a scam and try to get Chase to not send money to the scammer before Chase sends the money, but Chase sends money anyway. I told Chase, DO NOT SEND MONEY, IT IS A SCAMMER. Chase sent money anyway… What d[censored] a[censored]. They were told in adv advance they sent it anyway. Been Chase customer for years, and they take the word of a scammer over mine. Chase will NEVER see that money from me… Cut the card up. Closed the account… They can spend time money for years sending me letters, but I refuse to pay for a bad transaction when I told them before they sent money I found out it was a scam…

Get rid of Chase… They do not have your back like they say they do… LIES…

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I appreciate the correspondence from [redacted] at Card Services Executive Office however, it does nothing to resolve this matter The correspondence just repeats the original position of Chase which I referred to in my complaint That is, "the account was taken as a loss...due to severe delinquency....the account was sold with all rights, title and interest." My request for verification of the debt was completely ignored My request to have the entire negative entry from the credit bureaus was ignored My request to seek resolution in the form of payment or settlement was not addressed either My position remains: 1) This is not my debt; I have never been contacted, written or telephone, by anyone in a effort to collect the debt I have no knowledge of this debt 2) I am being "punished twice for the same crime" in that there are two separate negative charge-off entries on the credit bureaus, one by Chase and the other by Hilco Receivables If Chase did in fact sell the account with all rights they should not be allowed to report it as a charge off 3) I am again respectfully requesting Chase to prove their position by providing a full detailed itemization, with signatures representing the amount they claim was delinquent and charged off 4) If such verification cannot or will not be provided, I am asking Chase to remove the entire entry from the credit bureau files
