Review: I took my car in for some auto body repair and paint. I was quoted 3 days for the work and it turned out to be 7 days. There was little to no communication either by phone, txt or E-mail to let me know the status of my car. I had to stop by the shop to find out status and the progress being made. When the car was finally ready, I inspected the car and the color/paint at the time looked very close to what I had asked. There were a couple imperfections where you could see the paint had run and the clear coat wasn't on correctly. I paid in full in good faith and he asked me to bring the car back in a couple days to fix the imperfections. Once the paint settled I could clearly tell and so could the owner that the color did not match. I have stopped by the shop multiple times to try and leave the car so he can get the color/paint right and fix the imperfections, however, every time its one excuse after another why he can't do. Excuses like, I don't have the right paint, I don't have the right base, I don't have the right clear, my supplier didn't show up etc... I finally told him that I wasn't happy with the outcome and how this has transpired. He then stated that I paid, inspected the car and took it home so as far as he is concerned his job was done. Overall this was a bad experience and will not be taking any of my cars there and I would not recommend the quality of the work.Desired Settlement: At this point I don't want to do any business with this shop and I do not trust my asset in his shop. I would like to settle this by a partial refund, the body repairs were completed correctly. My dispute is the color of the paint not matching as he promised and the paint/clear imperfections. I have taken my car to other shops to get an idea of the cost to repaint. They range from 300 to 500. I paid $800 for incomplete work and I would like a $400 refund so I can have it done somewhere else.
