Review: I hired the company to build-up my front yard and build a retainer wall. The wall is red terracotta block. I paid a deposit prior to the beginning of the job. I made another large payment half way through the job and at the completion of the job I only owed $200 which I paid. The company received payment in full for the job. When looking at the completed job with [redacted] of JR Masonry I asked why there was a broken block (base block along walkway which is very visible). He said, "what? you have a problem with the broken block"? and I said, "yes, I do." I then asked him why there were discolored (white) blocks. He said that would go away when it rained. They are still discolored (white). The wall is not straight, the are gaps between blocks and there are jagged cuts in some of the blocks, some of the blocks are chipped. The workers had the tile saw facing my house (front door) and now my house has red over spray from the saw all over my stucco and I have not been able to clean it. When [redacted] was leave the job, he said just pay me the remaining $200 and one day in the next couple of months you will come home and the broken block will be all fixed. He made that statement last February and to date, he has not come to my home and made good on his promise.Desired Settlement: I want the broken block replaced or repaired so that it does not look like it was ever broken. I want the front of my home (stucco and wood trim) cleaned and all the red removed. I want the discolored block cleaned/repaired or replaced because there were several perfect blocks buried in my yard that should have been used for the wall instead of using discolored, chipped and broken blocks. If JR Masonry is not able to resolve my complaints as he said he would then I would like some of my money returned. I paid over $5,000 for this job.
