We purchased a Kohler Standby Generator from JRB in August of 2014. We did not research installers prior to our purchase. The install went as planned at the quoted price. Since then, needed follow-up service has been extremely poor: 1) In August of 2015 we called to schedule routine annual service. I can't confirm that it was accomplished, as we never received an invoice or service summary. 2) In October of 2015 we called to report severe surging during the unit's self test. We were advised that they would install a factory recommended upgrade. Again, I can't confirm that the repairs were accomplished, as no paperwork was received, and no change in performance has been noted. 3.) In February of 2016 we experienced a failure to start during a power outage. After not responding to my weekend message, I called them on Monday and was advised that they would look at it that day and call me later. After no call, I followed up that evening and was advised that they would respond to me the next day. It's been a week and a half, and still no call. The unit has since been repaired under warranty by a different firm.
