Review: I went three times prior to receiving service. I asked about pricing to itemize 1040 and was told $100 dollars and could go up but usually not that high. On my fourth trip to get and paid for service itemize 1040 had a set price of $150.00 and up. Therefore, I could have went to my usually tax preparer for $128.00. In addition, I did not get service I paid for the JRJ Income Tax Services/company forgot to give me DC state tax return. After waiting since January 2013 for state tax return I started to inquire about my taxes with MD State Comptrollers, who directed me to contact DC State Comptroller. I remember that no DC State paper work was provided to me and it was not in my final package that I received three weeks after taxes were completed. I had to go back to JRJ Income Tax Service to request my DC State Form D40B. JRJ provided it to me to mail to DC State Comptroller. Later in April 2013 I received a letter from DC State Comptroller, and then decided to call them and waited 2 hours on the phone just to receive service. According to **. [redacted] at DC State Comptroller at [redacted], option *, extension [redacted] JRJ Income Tax Service did not fill out the paperwork properly, the document did not have my signature, and the D40B Form blocks were not completed. I went back to JRJ Income Tax Service just for the represent to ask me for a copy of the letter which [redacted] stated to disregard and went in detail with all the errors. JRJ Representative states that they had a lot of returns for the same reason. Also, I mentioned about the charge for service and JRJ Representative stated we sometimes charge folks less but no real answer about why the front desk did not state that itemize 1040 has a set price. As far as, I am concern they owe me $50.00 back because they misrepresented their cost.Desired Settlement: $50.00 for not telling me after four visits and inquires about the minimum set price for Itemize 1040.

I am rejecting this response because: The bottom line is I inquire about cost prior to receiving the service, the $50 refund or not will not make any sufficient impact to my financial standing. I could not review the upside down documents provided by the tax company and will try to print out. The method use was false advertisement, which I could have save $50.00 and went to prior tax preparer from 2002 to 2010. In addition, I did not get the service paid and advertised, twice I had to go back to get he necessary form D40B to apply for DC State Comptroller refund of taxes since I am a Maryland resident. Also, the form D40B was not completed correctly and had to go back again for the tax company J.R.J to complete for DC State Comptroller to accept. It has been since January 2013 and still have not received my state refund.
