JRS Appliance Repair

If I could give a 0, that would be too generous. This man, Jeff Robinson, came to repair my washer, which was only 2 years old and very expensive. After only 10 min and not taking anything apart, he said it needed a new computer module but since it was a " discontinued model" he would be lucky if he could get it! ( Not discontinued we found out). We paid him $110 service fee, which would be applied to the repair. This was a Sat. On Monday, he called to say that he had found the part and it was $165. I had done internet research after he left and saw that seemed about right. He asked us for a credit card over the phone to pay the balance so he could order the part. My husband gave our bank card info, including the CVC over the phone. He called us 2 days later and made appt to come back to install the part. Sounded great. BUT HE NEVER SHOWED! We called him over 25 times, at every single number we found for him (there were 5 different ones, and we noticed on our caller ID he never called from the same one)! Each of those numbers stated that the party called was not taking any messages! We had to then cancel our bank card, contact the bank for a new one and sweat it out that he did not use it elsewhere! We asked the bank if they could help us get the money back... they said they could try to get the additional $65 back but not the $110. It's been 2 months and not looking good, unfortunately.

Review: I paid Jeffrey from JRS over $300 to assess the working condition of my appliances after a pipe burst and flooded my home. In addition to orally advising what a repair would cost, so that I could compare that to a replacement, he provides a written report. The report is used as documentation for my insurance company so they know that the appliances for which replacements were purchased were sufficiently damaged so that repurchase was the more fiscally prudent option. Jeffrey committed to providing me the written report months ago and has not yet followed through. I actually had a good experience with him, but his failure to provide the required report will cause the loss of a few thousand dollars for me because my insurance company will not reimburse me for the replacements without his report.Desired Settlement: Jeffrey has stopped taking my calls. I truly believe he was putting forth a good effort to provide the report and perhaps has gotten so busy he has been unable to devote time to creating it. If he could call and provide an ETA or at least speak to the insurance company that would be helpful.

Review: Service was to evaluate and repair the washer. JRS repair man came told us that we need a new part that he was going to order. He took payment of $$109.00 for service call which suppose to be included with the part payment. We did not hear from him for a week. When we contacted him he said that we should stop calling him and hang up the phone.Desired Settlement: We would like to receive a refund in the amount of $$109.00.

Review: This provider came to my house to repair an LG dishwasher. He claimed to be an LG distributor. He did not fix anything and then took a check and disappeared. When I tried to call him, he did not answer and when I finally got through to him he said I was harassing him. Meanwhile he tricked me into believing the machine was repaired and asked me to write him a check made out to cash. Consumer beware! This is not a reputable provider. I contacted LG and they don't have him listed as having any affiliation with them. He completely fooled me and took me for a ride as I was home alone in my home with three young children.Desired Settlement: I want him to return my check of $177.00 immediately.
