Review: Signed Contract with J.R.'s Home Improvement to turn my 4ft chain link fence into a 6ft fence. I was quoted $1350.00 for the Job and 5 year warranty. I gave $675.00 for supplies to start the job. He came with the fence materials and took down the old fence. I had to go without a Fence between my neighbors house and mine and that became an issue, cause they have dogs and I had to makeshift a fence for a few days. Then he starts the jobs and he calls me and said he needed another $200.00 for more supplies. I gave him $200.00 and had his employee sign the receipt. He starts to pit my fence up and I had numerous issues. Post not right, not anchored correctly, not top rail. Once gate that would not work and another Gate that was incorrectly installed. He told me he would be back and I can pay him the last $675.00 and he would fix and complete the job. He came the Next day and said he should be fixed that day and asked If I could give him the $675.00 and he would leave his tools to shoe he was coming back.. He came back the next day and left without the fence being completed and wrong in sooooo many ways. So I am out $1550.00 and I still had an incomplete fence and I had to pay another company $825.00 to fix all his damage. So I paid over $2375.00 for a Fence he quoted to me for $1550.00.I tried to call, e-mail and I get no Response. I would Stay away from this Business, he doesn't finish the Job.. I think he bit off more than he could chew. Instead of manning up and saying the job was too much for him and returning my money and leave me the supplies he bought and I could have had a Pro finish the Job. I only Ask that he gave me back $500.00 for incomplete job. But no response. I gave him 2 months to make this right, but looks like he won't. Beware!!!!!Desired Settlement: $500.00 back for incomplete job and he can void the 5-year warranty he gave me..

I am rejecting this response because:

The statements made in the attached letter are completely False. I never said the I wanted the job done the Cheapest way!!!! I ask **. [redacted] to give me a quote. **. [redacted] called me and said he could do the job for $1350.00, Which was about the same quotes I was getting from other people. But he said he could start failry quickly and I agreed to have him do the job. He gave me a scope of work and what he promised to do and also noted a 5 year warranty. **. [redacted] ended up calling me in the middle of that Job asking for another $200.00 cause he was over budget and I agreed to pay him another $200.00 so now a total of $1550.00 I have all e-mails and documentation to prove my side of the story!!!

**. [redacted] and his Crew never completed the Fence job as promised!! My side gate was never attached correctly and the Front Gate was attached, but he never attached the chain link fence to the post cause he said he was waiting for the cement to dry. [redacted] said he would be back the next day to finish the job and address all my concerns. I called [redacted] that night and told him the way he had the fence material attached it was pulling the pole to the one side and causing it to lean. He said to leave it alone and he would fix it the next day. He never said anything about charging me for the fence repair, CAUSE he was not done the job. That was a outright LIE in the letter.

I called [redacted] 2 more times and he said he would be back out to finish the Job and he never came. I ended up paying a professional Fence Company $825.00 more to fix the fence and make it right. So I am out a total of $2375.00. I can get a written letter from the professional fence company stating all the things that where done incorrectly!

I cannot believe all the false statements in the letter provided by **. Raksnis!
