Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The version from the business is not accurate. It is true that I did not try on the skirt again. This was after a 20 minute+ conversation trying to explain the situation. I reject the notion that the skirt was altered specific to the line of the design. This was a simple alteration. The skirt was brought in with a straight hem all around. Please see attached picture of the skirt today. In the picture it is clear that it now has a lopsided hem and is longer in the back than in the front. This picture was taken with the dress hung straight - the same method the business employed and at the time, agreed this was uneven. I disagree with the commitment that the skirt could continue to be shortened and not ruin the design. There is not enough fabric to mitigate the risk of shortening the skirt beyond repair. It is a long skirt that has no additional hem. Since none of this could be clearly communicated with the manager or stuff, I asked for a refund based on inaccurate work.

Review: This laundromat has made several mistakes with my clothing: 1) They have ruined several items of clothing by washing them improperly. 2) They have picked up clothing when they should not have -- nobody called them, but their delivery man who was on foot came by the building to check if there was laundry and took laundry that was meant for a different J's location. They then proceeded to machine wash items that were meant to be hand washed. This has lead to some, but not all, of the items in point #1 being ruined. With respect to the incorrect pickup, the J's owner blamed my doorman for this, and said that he was probably calling. I checked with my doorman, who said that he did not call, and that the J's on **has an on foot delivery man that sometimes checks by on his own accord and will take things instead of the truck (and it is the truck that was meant to pick it up). 3) They recently delivered to us and charged us for the cleaning of 2 Hermes ties that do not belong to us. Each time I have called this J's cleaners to try and fix these situations the owner has been very rude and has even hung up on me several times and has claimed that he has made no mistakes. This includes the most recent time, when I was trying to fix 3 mistakes, including returning these 2 ties to whomever they belong to, I imagine these poor owners are probably missing the ties -- who knows how J's is dealing with their situation. At this point, I can not deal with the owner anymore - he has already hung up on me twice today (Jan **, 2014, when I wrote most of this claim) as I was trying to explain the most recent situation to him, and I can barely get a word in edgewise. I am obviously going to cease my business with him. However, my inability to resolve this with the J's owner due to his unwillingness to communicate is sadly going to leave some poor man without his 2 ties. It would be nice if we could fix this situation with the ties, deal with the situation of my ruined clothing, warn other customers and let this owner know that this type of behavior is unacceptable. With respect to the ties, I would like to get them back to their owner, but I also have a small NYC apartment and can not keep them indefinitely. I believe I’ve seen in laundromats that they are not responsible for clothing left more than 60 days – this seems reasonable, I will give the Revdex.com this long to resolve the issue, but can not guarantee keeping them longer than that.Desired Settlement: The following points encompass my desired outcome:

1) Return the 2 ties to their rightful owner. If possible, I would like to do this without J's being involved, or at least in some manner where the owner of the ties are aware that J's not only made the initial mistake, but then also prevented their ties from being returned in a timely manner. Also, at this point, I doubt whether J’s is capable of returning the ties to their rightful owner without the assistance of a 3rd party.

As mentioned above, because I believe I have seen laundromats saying they are not responsible for items left longer than 60 days, I will keep these ties for 60 days from the time of submitting this claim in order to give the Revdex.com a chance to remedy this situation. I am submitting this claim on Jan **2014, so I will keep the ties for the purposes of returning to their rightful owner until March **, 2014.

2) Be refunded for the cleaning charge of the 2 ties that are not mine.

.

3) The issuance of a formal complaint against this J’s location and its owner so that other customers can be warned about their mishandling of clothing and then their ensuing unprofessional and unacceptable behavior in not dealing with their mistakes.

4) Compensation for the ruined items. If I were to add up everything they have ruined from the beginning, it would be over $500 (the damaged items include, but are not limited to, one blanket that was $450 without tax, a sports bra ~$70, and I still have to check on some bed sheets which are more than $1000 that were incorrectly put in the washing machine, but they might be ok).

Review: Dropped off leather jacket to dry cleaner on Sept [redacted]. Given October [redacted] until pick-up date. Did not receive jacket until October [redacted], only to find that the left sleeve appeared to be burned. I asked them to see if this could be fixed. I am still waiting to hear back on the jacket. I have called numerous times, only to be told that "it's with the leather factory".... not sure why it takes this long to determine whether or not it can be fixed. The general manager does not return my phone calls. My impression is that they are stalling to prevent having to provide payment.Desired Settlement: either return the jacket fixed, or pay for the jacket. This was an expensive Vince leather jacket which retails at $900.
