Horrible Service, uncalled for text and calls to my cell calling me and my wife liars etc from [redacted].Me and my wife were looking to purchase a car from JT auto mart for my son. I contacted the lot and spoke with [redacted] several times and explained to him my current problem. Horrible divorce and I was on a training mission with the military without leaving POA with my current wife, house was behind at the time because it was sold off to another finance company and she was not allowed to speak with them. [redacted] hum hauled around tried to tell me that he could not do the loan in my name alone, needed wife to sign as well which I was fine with. Wife applied [redacted] called me back with the approval was very shady at this point would not tell me the bank who approved us, would not tell me what the warranty that we were trying to purchase included. I ask about my deposit of 5k that was being put down gave some shady information about that also was not going to be applied to the overall balance but none of that mattered and was none of my concern, his comment was because of the credit issues I have you approved on what you wanted. Me and my wife took vacation days from work headed down there, the closer we got to the lot the more calls I got to my phone wanting to know where I was at. At this point me and my wife stopped and talked with my son, this guy was just to shady to do business with. I turned around and called the dealership because I really did not want to talk with him and advised them to let him know I was not coming, I appreciated his time but we just not feel good about it at all. The very next day I received at least 5 calls and two texts messages in which I still have talking about and I quote "me and my wife are LIARS" he came in on his day off when he had the flu for me, "that is why I probably have horrible credit now we are both LIARS and do not pay our billsDesired SettlementI would like to have all of the inquires from mine and my wife's credit report that was pulled during this transaction removed. I would also like to see [redacted] or something I work in finance and this is not the way business is conducted, I also still have the text messages. [redacted] customer service for him to be in his position was unjust and uncalled for, we were all the way to JT and changed our mine because of his actuonsBusiness Response /[redacted]/Mr. [redacted],I sincerely apologize for the actions of our sales person. This is not how our company operates. I assure you that this is being handled internally. We pride ourselves on quality customer service, and our reviews show how friendly and professional we are. Once again this has been handled internally. On another note as far as the credit application that you had filled out. There is no way for us to remove this as you had signed all documents for us to run it electronically. In which we can provide all supporting documents.Consumer Response /[redacted]/actually no I never signed anything me nor my wife, [redacted] called me I then turned around and hung up with him and advised him that I could call my wife and all three of us could be conferenced in from where she worked, we both also advised [redacted] that we were working to have our credit repaired mine more so from a deployment where I left POA to my first wife. We advised him that we had a certain bank that we had done business with in the past and that is who we wanted to go through. We did not sign anything electronically, now what he mustarded up I have no clue but the app was given over the phone with those terms and conditions, this is not the first time I have called this lot we called a few weeks back on a truck. I also know that your company can on behalf of me and my wife send letters to the credit company's disputing these transactions. Your responses also failed to mention the expenses that me in my wife lost due to taking a day off without pay to make this transaction happen. To be honest with you I had the half cash and the rest in a funds from the bank to pay for that vehicle and because of [redacted] your lot lost a deal.Final Business Response /[redacted]/Once again,JT Auto Mart can and will provide all legal documentation and notes from customer as to not send credit application through company she works for. All information was obtained through our secure credit website and also through Dealer Car Search as to the inquiries they have made. At no point are we allowed to process any credit application over the phone! As far as taking a day off to process buying a car, this was their choice. At no time are we responsible. Once again contact was made by customer starting on June 19 through July 28 where the customers had made 3 inquiries on vehicle, all notes and documentation can be provided.

JT Auto sold me a truck with a known, pre-existing problem which will not pass North Carolina State Inspection and refuses to make necessary repairs.About one month ago, I went to JT Automart in Sanford, NC to test drive a 2003 Toyota Tacoma. During the test drive, I noticed the check engine light was on. Other than that, the truck was in good shape and priced fairly. Knowing that a check engine light will cause a car to fail state inspection, I made sure that during our sales negotiation that JT Auto would fix whatever problem was causing the check engine light. Their mechanic told me a failed brake light switch was responsible for the light. Trusting their repair, I agreed to buy the truck in full. Two days after driving my new truck, the light reappeared. I took my truck into an AutoZone where they read the code. There were three codes setting off the check engine light; all pointing to a problem with the mass air flow sensor, oxygen sensors, and the catalytic converter. Feeling misled by JT Auto, I called my bank and put a hold on my check until they agreed, in writing, to fix the issue. I returned to the dealership and they gave me a "Due Bill" agreeing to replace the mass air flow sensor and the faulty catalytic converter causing the check engine light. I left my truck with them and they replaced the front catalytic converter with a universal converter. I picked the truck up and drove it around for a couple more days until the check engine light reappeared showing the same codes as before. I once again brought my truck back to JT Auto where they would try to fix the problem. This time they told me the oxygen sensor was just loose. I picked up the truck the next day and drove it around some more. After a couple more days, the check engine light came back on. This time, I took my truck to my local mechanic to thoroughly diagnose the issue. They told me the universal converter was not functioning well enough and suggested they replace both the front and rear converter with direct fit models. They also mentioned the brake light switch (which JT Auto claimed was first responsible for the check engine light) also needed replaced. My mechanic estimated the needed repairs would cost me $1,200. I brought this information to JT Auto and they said they would look into it again. I dropped off the truck and soon after got a call from JT Auto saying they replaced both oxygen sensors. I picked up my truck the following day and on the way home, the check engine light reappeared. I took the truck to AutoZone to have the codes read and the truck was sending the same P0420 code, suggesting the catalytic converter was not working properly. I brought my truck back to JT Auto and they agreed to look at it one more time. When I called the service manager the next day, he told he doesn't know why the check engine light won't go away and refused to do any more repairs on the truck. I mentioned my mechanic's advice of replacing the universal catalytic converter with a more expensive direct fit model, but he said that won't do anything and would be too expensive. Later, I visited a Toyota Dealership where I met with someone familiar with my model and year of truck and also familiar with the P0420 code. He suggested the same thing as my mechanic the universal converter was not functioning well enough and I needed a higher quality, direct fit converter to make the code go away. I brought this up to JT Auto and they gave me two options: one, trade in the truck for another one of theirs; or two, give me a check for $250 and I take my truck and fix it myself. The problem with option one is the dealer's only similar trucks had too many miles, and the problem with option two is that the needed repairs would be at the very minimum $750. I have pleaded with JT Auto to let my mechanic do the repairs needed and for them to cover the bill, or let me sell the truck back to them. Both of my options are entirely fair, because this truck had this problem before they sold it to me and have retracted from their verbal and written agreement to fix the issue.Desired SettlementI want JT Auto Mart to cover the expenses required to fully fix the faulty catalytic converter causing the check engine light. This truck will not pass NC Inspection with this problem. Or, I want JT Auto to buy the truck back from me. Business Response /[redacted]/Mr. [redacted],I am sorry for any issues that you may have. As you stated in the paragraph above. We have gone out of our way to do any repairs for you on this vehicle. This vehicle did pass inspection, we can not alter any codes that may show up. If a code shows up that it required by NC Inspection guidelines we are required to fix the issue before any vehicle is placed for sale. Once the car is placed on the lot, once after inspected, if for any reason a light comes on that is after it has been sitting on our lot we make all attempts to handle the issue at hand. Sometimes this does happen after inspection due to the car may have been sitting on the lot and not have been driven. All of our vehicle are sold"As Is". We did offer to take the vehicle back, and put you into another one, in which you did decline. We feel that we have gone above and beyond to fix any issues at hand. And we can provide all proper documents if need be. Consumer Response /[redacted]/The check engine light code, P0420, signifies a faulty catalytic converter. I have a signed "Due Bill" from JT Auto Mart promising to "repair faulty catalytic converter". Although JT Auto attempted to fix the issue, the catalytic converter they installed is not working for my truck and the P0420 code is still on. I am having my mechanic put in the proper catalytic converter which will cost me a minimum of $750. JT Auto has only offered me $250; and if my mechanic's solution resolves the issue, I expect JT Auto to cover the difference.Final Business Response /[redacted]/As previously stated our service department worked on Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle replacing the catalytic convertor and oxygen sensors. He was also offered $250.00 compensation. JT Auto Mart 2 Inc. even offered to exchange the vehicle. All these repairs were done at no charge to Mr. [redacted]. He declined to purchase an extended warranty at the original purchase closing. We feel that JT Auto Mart 2 Inc. has extended all good faith practices possible. Feel free to contact us for any assistance or documentation.

it's my belief that this company uses bait and switch advertising practices. My wife and I were driving to Sanford from Wilmington to look at and hopefully purchase 1 of 2 Toyotas that were listed on the company's website. The business wasn't open at the time we left home. About half way there, we called ahead to assure the vehicles were still for sale. We were informed we could NOT purchase the vehicles unless we were car dealers ourselves. The cars were wholesale only cars. They then tried to direct us to other, more expensive vehicles that we would be "allowed" to purchase. We promptly stopped our trip. We would like the business to be more responsible in their advertising practices.

This company is deceptive in their advertising. They purposely left out important pictures to hide damage from potential customers.I contacted JT Automart on September 20th in regards to a 2003 Infiniti FX45 that they were advertising on a well known automobile site called Autotrader. I talked with a salesman by the name of [redacted] I asked him why there weren't any pictures of the front seats "driver's and passenger" and he responded that the seats were damaged and needed to be replaced or repaired. During our conversation, I voiced concern to [redacted] that I was worried about what the seats looked like since there were no pictures of them. I was also concerned about the quality of the repair work that was supposedly suppose to be done. [redacted] told me verbatim "The seats will be replaced with brand new leather. The entire seat is going to be replaced with new leather so that everything matches and the seats will look like brand new. We are not going to do a patch job, everything will be replaced with brand new leather." He told me that someone had used some kind of abrasive cleaner on the leather and it literally melted the leather away from the seat cushion or padding. This inspired confidence in me since it seemed like they were going to do the job correctly. In an email I stated to [redacted] that "The purchase is contingent on me seeing pictures of the re-leathered seats upon completion." [redacted] agreed that this was fair and made sense since I obviously shouldn't be expected to be something that I've never seen before. I then gave him my information and he said that my card wouldn't be charged until I seen the pictures of the new seat. This repair took 10 days to complete. During those ten days, I was contacted 4 times by [redacted] pressuring me to make a full payment and buy the vehicle without seeing the seat and I declined every time. Fast forward to 10 days alter and I got a call saying that the leather was repaired. I received four dark and blurry cell phone camera pictures of the seats from [redacted]. Upon seeing the seats it was extremely obvious that the entire seat was not recovered. All they did was patch two pieces of the seat cushion with new leather instead of recovering the whole seat which I was told they were going to do. The leather clearly is not the same color as the rest of the seat. The bottom seat cushion has an extreme amount of wear to it and is majorly cracking. The seat looks like it has 130,000 miles on it and not 30,000 miles. This was obviously not what I expected. I called [redacted] and told him that the seat was not done correctly and wasn't what he said it was going to be. Because of this I did not want to give them a deposit or buy the car from them. [redacted] said he understood this and they did not repair the entire seat, just one small panel of it. Two days later after this occurred I noticed a $500 charge on my credit card from this company. I called to ask why and was told I was charged because I inconvenienced them. I asked to speak with a manager and was told he was not available. I requested a return call but never got one back. Over the course of three days, I called this business literally 8 times. I left 3 voicemails for the manager to call me back, got no answer when I called, or had someone tell me that "the manager was in a meeting." Finally I got fed up with trying to contact this company which led me to file a complaint here. I never authorized them to charge my credit card. They did so without my authorization. There was no product exchanged and I was wrongfully charged $500. Their advertising and sales practices are deceptive and sneaky. The "manager" seems to be elusive as he will not return my calls and doesn't ever seem to be at the business every time I call.Desired SettlementI am seeking the $500 that they charged my credit card without my authorization. I never gave them permission to do this and it was only supposed to be done after I approved the repair job that they were supposed to have done. It was not done to the standards that they said it was going to be, therefore I do want want to do business with them.

I purchased a 2008 nissan armada, the engine light came on my way home, panel board went dark and vehicle started shaking. The next day, I took it to Advance an had check and had 4 codes. Went I to dealership and told them about, JT Auto Mart had their mechanic checked and said that only Nissan dealership were able to get fixed. MANAGER said that I bought as-is , vehicle had pass "inspection" and had nothing else to do. But, I was told when buying that if a light came on or a brake light was out to take it back and they will repair it (oral statement). In my defense, a $14,000 vehicle should last you more than 6 hours after taken possession. The engine light will come on and off, gauges sometimes will work and sometimes not. JT Auto Mart run an auto mill, erased engine lights, clean them up and fraudulent pass NC "Inspection". I noticed that if I turned the half way and wait for about 5 seconds and cranked it, the gauges would work but the check engine light would stay on. After Nissan Dealer change for $965 (instrument cluster) the problem was solve.Product_Or_Service: 1-27-2016Desired SettlementRefund repairs $965, I was already told today when going to picked up and Revdex.com Review respond that they will not refund any repairs.I know that JT Auto Mart will not admit to any wrong doing, that it is their motto. My great expectations are (1) that JT Auto Mart customers are made aware of their fraudulence business practices, (2) that JT Auto Mill grading changes, (3) NC laws are follow, (4) that more laws to aid and protect consumers are enacted and enforce.Business Response Dear valued customer we are sorry again about how you feel about us. We always try to help our customers, however we do sell Pre-owned vehicles and maintenance is a part of any used car. Our obligation is to inspect the vehicles up to NC inspection standards. I know that you are frustrated but I would like for you to say everything that happened. Please be open about saying that ya'll tried to jump the truck and ya'll put the negative and the positive on the wrong battery poles causing the problem to the truck. We offered a warranty and you declined this warranty. We have supporting documents to support this. We are still willing to help you just give us a call. I hope you don't continue to have hard feelings towards us and we wish you the best of luck. Consumer Response JT Auto Mart are experts at self-preservation to say the least. In time, their fraudulent business methods will be known in the city of Sanford, and NC. Many other of their "value customers' have suffered the same issues or worse and many or left with cars that will not passed ** Inspection (4 months after getting their temporary plates). I was under the impression that JT Auto Mart sold "Nice, good cars" not clunkers that will leave you on the side of the road. Their Revdex.com A rating, I have no way to describe how disappointed I feel.I propose $965 to satisfied me or nothing. Remember "To be rather to be seem". Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Please stop saying sorry, words without actions means nothing. I am not upset, just doing my civic duty as a member of the community. I notice how your discounted rate works and no thanks. Although it is obvious that I am handicapped ;however, I am not suffering from any mental disability that I am aware. I am afraid to call and receive yesterday's answer "do not ever call, any communication have to be done thru your lawyer". Please do not worry about that because I got time. Thomas Jefferson once said that he was great believer in luck, that the more he worked, the more luck he had and I think he was right. Thank you, now, I will add you to my pen pals list. Remember that is better "To be, rather to be seem". You my friend have a weird way of showing value to your customers. I understand that all living organisms must eat in order survive. You must change your ways in order stay in business or change name/location (will buy you some time). Please do not try to knock down Bernard Madoff because he is out of your league. You must built trust, fairness, thru honesty in the community and not be an expert at self preservation.[redacted]9000 characters are not enough for the many horror stories of fraud victims have to tell. [redacted] There is no NATION on planet earth that will okay your fraudulent ways of conducting business. That you willing, knowingly, premeditated, misinform, mislead, in placing people in harms ways, just for greed. To Revdex.com: It will do a great service to the community and the NC state to post this. Thank You!!! Final Business Response Again and again we are sorry about how you feel. We know that you are upset about the problem that most likely you caused but we are still determined to help you as we have stated to you over and over again. From a business stand point we cannot refund any investments that you have made to your vehicle but as we stated before we can help you with a discounted rate on future maintenance work done to the vehicle. We are determined to keep responding to your replies as long as it takes if that makes you feel better. We wish you the best of luck and please call us to see how we can help you. You are a valued customer and we would like for you to change your perspective of us.

This company claimed a used car passed NC inspection when it actually does not.The business sold a 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe to the buyer August 1, 2015 via sales rep [redacted] for $15,995 under the pretense that the car passes inspection and has not been tampered with. They have an NCDMV inspector on site that gave the car a perfect pass. Immediately after purchasing, I took the car to my mechanic who saw that the car was missing both rear o2 sensors and had been tampered with to conceal the wires and fix the computer from reading an error or "check engine" status. Either JT AutoMart knew this and fraudulently passed the car or they omitted a proper physical inspection and only went based on computer diagnostics alone. Either way, they sold me a car that does NOT pass inspection, and I could get fined for driving it in the current condition. When confronted about the issue, the business denied all claims outright and stated "You bought it as is, and our guy said it was fine." The business refused to discuss any details about the claim, even if it related to future buyers and their safety. Further litigation may be pursued by the buyer, but none has been initiated at this point.Desired SettlementThe buyer is requesting that JT Automart repair, or pay to have repaired, the rear oxygen sensors so that the car would pass * NC inspection, as it had claimed at the time of sale. The business impressed upon the buyer that the car had no major needs for repair, and that was not the case. The business also claimed that the car had PASSED * NC inspection, which could not be true if a full inspection had been performed or not tampered with. The buyer is also requesting that JT Automart perform full physical inspection as well as computer diagnostics for this and all future cars as it is the legal requirement.Business Response /[redacted],Purchased this car from us. As we buy most of our vehicles through dealer auctions, this is where we did purchase this one from. Not only did it pass their inspection, but it also did pass NC Inspection. As [redacted] stated in his complaint we do have an inspection station, however we can not buy pass when the computer passes the inspection. For [redacted] to accuse us of possibly tampering with the vehicle and to call us fraudulent in passing [redacted] is incorrect, and uncalled for. We do not question as to why a car passes an inspection from computer readings, only when they do not pass the computer readings are they to be looked. JT Auto Mart can supply all supporting documents.Consumer Response /[redacted]/It is not my intent to shoot accusations, but only to mention the facts of which the car was inspected. Jt AutoMart just confirmed that they only ran a computer diagnostic. The computer in the car doesn't read anything wrong with the car and even passed the o2 sensors. However, the o2 sensors are not present on the vehicle and therefore the computer has been tampered with to conceal the omitted pieces. Had the car also had a visual inspection underneath by lifting the car up, it would have been a very obvious issue. I am of the understanding that North Carolina does not pass emissions inspection with those o2 sensors missing. I am having to pay out of my pocket to get that done just so I have a car that passes inspection and to avoid a fine from the NCDMV for driving an unpassable car. The car is a fantastic vehicle that looks clean, but had this concealed issue. Is it not considered negligence to only run a computer diagnostic inspection and not conduct a physical examination as well? That is my only concern, because the licensed techs that I have talked to who inspect vehicles in North Carolina say they have to do both a computer and a physical examination regardless.Final Business Response /[redacted]/I answer all complaints as best as possible, after speaking with my General Manager and our person who inspects the vehicles. This car has passed all guidelines as required by The State Of North Carolina. We do have all supporting documents that can be provided to you ,and or the DMV inspector.Thank you again

Car sold with the wrong Key Fob. 2 salesman promised a replacement. Now refusing to replaceWe purchased a used 2008 Toyota Highlander on July 31,2014. They gave us the wrong key fob when we picked up the car. We called immediately (August 1) about it. [redacted] (tall dark skinned man and our salesman) said no problem he would fix it. Then [redacted] (AUgust 4) said the same thing, [redacted] asked for us to fax a copy of the invoice to reprogram the fob. We sent the invoice. [redacted] stated: If we sent in a copy of the cost to reprogram it, they would cover it. Then they denied the cost to reprogram it! The manager (August 7) said he did not care about unhappy customers that there was simply no money for them to take care of the problem. I have tried to call additional times to speak with the manager and one time I was told the problem I presented was above the managers pay grade. The cost to reprogram the key fob is $130.00. Both salespeople agreed that this would not be a problem after the sale! We paid the $130.00 because the service was performed as we had no way to lock the car without it.Desired SettlementPlease pay use $130.00 to refund the cost of giving us the wrong keyfob.Business Response /[redacted]/Mr. [redacted] did purchase this vehicle from us. We were aware at the time of the sale that the key fob was not working once the salesman showed him the vehicle, our sales rep. told Mr. [redacted] that it was either a battery or it may need to be reprogrammed. We had already gave Mr. [redacted] concessions in the amount of $800 for tires, and also a radio repair of some kind, even though our vehicles are sold "As Is" If we had agreed to fix the key Fob, this would have all been disclosed in the buyers order in which Mr. [redacted] had signed in our finance office. All documents can be provided upon request. Consumer Response /[redacted]/Both [redacted] and [redacted] the sales person promised us AFTER the sale that the key fob would be replaced, thus creating a separate contract. We were not told at ANYTIME prior to the sale that the key fob was not working. When we advised [redacted] that the key fob was not working, he told us to check the battery, we took it to a store and replaced the battery, at which time we were told the key fob was never programmed for a Highlander in the first place and the fob would have to be reprogrammed. We called [redacted] and told him this. His response was they would take care of it. This again was AFTER the AS IS sale. When after several days we could not reach [redacted], we contacted [redacted] told us to fax an invoice containing the cost for reprogramming and it would be taken care of. Which again is after the sale. Final Business Response /[redacted]/Once again, as I have said in the previous response. Our Procedure & Policy here at JT Auto Mart is: Any promises made are put in the Bill of Sale , and Due Bill. Which is approved by a manager. When contracts are disclosed and signed, Mr. [redacted] was asked was any promises made. At that point he signed all documents and left. All documents are signed and dated by Mr. [redacted] and JT Auto Mart. These are supporting documents, which once again we can, and will provide to you.
