This company is as shady as they come I was rear ended by one of Omni's drivers several months ago Since then, Omni has tried every trick in the book with me The first times I called them, they pretended that their policyholder didn't even exist It took my insurance company calling them to even get a claim opened After that, they ignored my phone calls and questions for weeks; they ignored my requests to extend a rental car; they tried to back out bogus costs from their appraisal; they tried mailing me a check for less than HALF of what the auto shop estimated for damages Once the shop declared the car totaled, they sent me blank paperwork with instructions to sign and send them my title before ever seeing a dime from them I ended up hiring a lawyer to deal with them and he, obviously, has recommended that I not sign blank paperwork that Omni can fill in any way they wantOmni refuses to modify the paperwork, refuses to make a partial payment, refuses to meet me in person so I can sign the title over The insurance adjuster alternates between playing dumb and being argumentative and combative My lawyer said that she is the worst adjuster he's ever worked with- and he's an insurance attorney that has been doing this for 30+ years We may have to bring a lawsuit to settle this, which is ridiculous given the extremely clear facts of the case (it was a simple rear end; the police report clearly states their driver is at fault)If we go to court, they won't have a leg to stand on In the meantime, costs are racking up for them: legal fees, storage fees, rental car fees, etc It doesn't even make sense because this whole thing is going to cost Omni way more than it would have if they had just taken care of things from the beginning (Another example: they keep sending me letters saying that the claim will be delayed another days or more because they need to investigate the facts of the case- it has already been several months, not to mention there is *nothing [redacted] to investigate) Luckily I have an MBA and work for a Fortune company, so I can see through their tricks- as well as afford to hire an attorney and float my costs while they play their games Given the clear facts of the case, I'm confident that I'll recover my costs eventually, via lawsuit if necessary But the average person, or anyone that is reliant on Omni to get paid so they can secure new transportation- is going to get totally screwed by this company This company needs to be shut down

DO NOT USE!!! BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!! The worst customer service ever. Their driver was at fault and was issued the ticket; however the beyond rude adjuster said I still should have avoided it🤔 how could I avoid someone pulling out in front of me and making a turn they should not have made? Hence why they were issued the ticket! It might not have been so bad had the adjust not been such a rude miserable person. That was the icing on the cake. Do not use. Do not use. Do not use. They don't even deserve 1 star, they need a negative 10 stars.

This company is the pits. You can't even get a customer service representative on Saturday. You can't reach emergency roadside assistance, nobody. I'm seriously considering switching companies.

Omni is the worst at settling insurance claims. Me and my mother was rear ended while I was stopped at a red light. It was hell trying to get them to settle after wards with proving my injuries to them they did not want to pay all the $12,000 for my medical bills and pain and suffering along with my mothers. They insulted my mother saying because of her age she had pre existing problems, so she don't deserve to be compensated. The manager was very nasty toward me and acted like, it resented the to pay me any money, even though their insured was the one who hit us while stopped at a red light. I was forced to sign a release because $6800 is the only amount they would pay for my pain and suffering, so my medical bills went unpaid and on my credit report. My mother only got $3300 because they got this other man involved who insulted my mother.

In March 8 2014, a couple of my friends and myself were hit by a uninsured motorists. One of my friends went through a lawyer and got faster feedback from their company than I did as the customer about injuries and pain and suffering. A representative called to confirm she wasn't a family member and a week or so later I recurved a letter that she couldn't file under my uninsured motorists. I tried for months on end to contact my adjuster so that I could file under my own policy for pain and suffering after being hit by a drink driver and they never returned any of my phone calls. It's been almost a year and a half they are trying to wait on my state of limitations to run out so they won't be responsible for my claim. They are very unprofessional and coincidentally a couple of months before my old policy was up for renewal they called and told me they would no longer be serving in North Carolina. I am still trying to get someone to contact me back about this uninsured motorists coverage I am entitled to and was paying for each month while I was covered with this company.

A very up set customer, Worst company I have ever dealt with. adjuster never returns calls, , there is no one working!! Never had such a horrible experience then with this company. I don't know if they train there agents or not but they defiantly need to if they don't. they are by far the rudest people I dealt with. Thy are not polite at all. The adjuster calls me and wants to take my recorded statement and I tell her "I was not the driver you need to get the statement form the driver". She than says to me, well I will put here in the notes that you do not wish to file a claim with us and will summit it with your insurance carrier. I told her I never said I refuse to give a statement but if you are an experienced adjuster you should know that you need to get the statement from the actual driver and not me. She than hangs up on me, I tried to get a reach of a supervisor to put in a complaint but than again no one returns your calls.... will writing this review I just got a call from the adjuster and was more calm, she said I need to get the statement from your nice also would you like to give a statement so I said yes but I want to make you aware that am not the driver I'm just filling in on what I was told I'm just the owner of the vehicle. it has been over a week and she still has not contacted the other driver to get a statement. Come on people its just a phone call away please work harder do your JOB.

This company is as shady as they come.

I was rear ended by one of Omni's drivers several months ago. Since then, Omni has tried every trick in the book with me. The first 3 times I called them, they pretended that their policyholder didn't even exist. It took my insurance company calling them to even get a claim opened. After that, they ignored my phone calls and questions for weeks; they ignored my requests to extend a rental car; they tried to back out bogus costs from their appraisal; they tried mailing me a check for less than HALF of what the auto shop estimated for damages. Once the shop declared the car totaled, they sent me blank paperwork with instructions to sign and send them my title before ever seeing a dime from them. I ended up hiring a lawyer to deal with them and he, obviously, has recommended that I not sign blank paperwork that Omni can fill in any way they want. Omni refuses to modify the paperwork, refuses to make a partial payment, refuses to meet me in person so I can sign the title over. The insurance adjuster alternates between playing dumb and being argumentative and combative. My lawyer said that she is the worst adjuster he's ever worked with- and he's an insurance attorney that has been doing this for 30+ years.

We may have to bring a lawsuit to settle this, which is ridiculous given the extremely clear facts of the case (it was a simple rear end; the police report clearly states their driver is at fault). If we go to court, they won't have a leg to stand on. In the meantime, costs are racking up for them: legal fees, storage fees, rental car fees, etc. It doesn't even make sense because this whole thing is going to cost Omni way more than it would have if they had just taken care of things from the beginning. (Another example: they keep sending me letters saying that the claim will be delayed another 45 days or more because they need to investigate the facts of the case- it has already been several months, not to mention there is *nothing* to investigate).

Luckily I have an MBA and work for a Fortune 500 company, so I can see through their tricks- as well as afford to hire an attorney and float my costs while they play their games. Given the clear facts of the case, I'm confident that I'll recover my costs eventually, via lawsuit if necessary. But the average person, or anyone that is reliant on Omni to get paid so they can secure new transportation- is going to get totally screwed by this company. This company needs to be shut down.

I was rear ended by one of Omni''s clients. I had no fault in the accident. I had very minimal damage and did not require any medical. It took me three weeks to get a call to even start my claim to get my car fixed. Then the auto shop I choose was not a preferred one through them, so they sent out an adjuster, understandable, I got no response from the adjuster after he did it even though the agent at omni said the adjuster would be my point of contact to get my car fixed. 3 weeks longer I called Omni to see what was going on, had to leave a voice mail as usual and no call back. I got a letter explaining they needed to investigate further and they would advise within 45 days. My estimated damage cost from my auto shop was 650$ so feeling the run around game here. Week later I get a check in mail, no letter explaining or why I was getting this check. The check was for half of my estimate. I called a total of 4 more times and had to leave voice mails and no call back. Finally had to turn over to my insurance company to intervene and get my car fixed. Omni has Ridiculously bad customer service.

Omni Insurance Group is a division of American Independent Insurance, itself owned by a private capital group called Independent Insurance Investments. This company, while offering (seemingly) value-intensive automobile insurance policies to an under-served [and possibly more extensively-underwritten] market, appears to be suffering the ill-effects of undercapitalization, and pressure from management to mitigate costs at the expense of those harmed by their insured persons...those who would otherwise depend on Omni's good faith and good governance to make a traumatic experience a little less terrible. Omni, unfortunately, willfully chooses to do the opposite.

From this company, concordantly, you should expect reticenceif not sheer and distinct passive-aggressive behaviorpoorly-trained adjustors focused on internal metrics and policy more than the intrinsic facts of your claim or incident, a tacit lack of desire to discuss or make remedy except to the minimum extent provided by the law in your state (with a noted disregard for geography or logistical concerns in your region), andperhaps conclusivelyto suffer the adverse effects of a proprietary system put in place to delay, obfuscate, or annoy those with means to pursue another avenue (e.g. litigation, indemnity as the not-at-fault party from one's own collision insurance, etc). As a matter of fact, tangle with an adjustor with a civil discussion and query session for a few minutes, and they maywith little left in their training to retortmerely suggest just that: contact your own insurance and have them subrogate the deductible. That hardly seems fair.

Unfortunately, with my possessing no such means at present, andin principle, insulted at the implication that I penalize my insurance company for the negligent actions of the Omni insuredI was forced to wait this out. I was insistent and thorough, and certainly my own ardent advocate, but am now frayed and disconsolate from the sheer aggravation and energy expended for a relatively simple claim (that is, total loss where insured was 100% at fault, with my quick and complete return of any requested documentation with deftness and due diligence [including cost mitigation steps (for their benefit) to hold the vehicle privately (no storage fees) until it was no longer feasible to do so]). They offered me as little as possible for my loss, and 'ghosted' me into a quiet, passive [redacted] summary, even when you are not at all at-fault for the incident [and I mean genuinely, not merely subjectively; I realize the emotions of the harmed tend to skew this, but in this case, I unequivocally assure you...not-at-fault], it may be better to have your own insurance company take the hit rather than give yourself the psychological and emotional distress of having to deal with Omni Insurance. I suppose that the behaviors prompting this conclusion may be an implied business strategy for this moderately-sized operation. If this is unpalatable for youand you have the meansthen retain counsel immediately...as soon as you see the name "Omni." It will possibly unfairly penalize the at-fault party (everyone makes mistakes, even silly, negligent ones), but will most likely save you considerable grief.

Likewise, if you're considering purchasing coverage from Omni, please keep this in mind: it would be almost sociopathic to drive around with this coverage knowing how this company might treat someone involved in an accident where you were at-fault, irresponsible where where fault could not be determined, and downright masochistic if you were the victim yourself.
