The company first of all started months after the day they quoted.. The first set of men never came on time or finished job, so they sent another group of men that finished.. Since then we've had 4 leaks inside which to date have they've only fixed 3 of them.. They don't even try to communicate to date.. Upset Ruthie

Worst experience ever! They were sloppy, rude & took over a year to finalize my roof! I had 2 leaks & lost a skylight...& that was after my roof was supposedly done! On 5/18 I came home to 2 leaks -on 7/18 they finally had a dry waller, general contractor & painter come out to fix my back porch & bedroom! The final city inspected paperwork was not finished until 4/19! Stay away from this horrid company

This is crazy. So your roof leaked and we fixed everything! And were a bad company? Your skylight was out of code so we had to deck over it. You still owe us over 2 thousand dollars and we fixed everything without being paid in full and now your roof and everything is done you still will not pay us! Some people you won't please no matter what you do. And they won't pay!
So at the end of the day we fixed everything and you won't pay your final invoice!
We stood behind our work and fixed your home.
Stand behind yours and pay us for your roof Hillary.

I would submit the receipt- of payment to you all! Check your records.... I'm paid in full! I paid you not because the job was good but because you are toxic & ive dealt w/ your train wreck for over a year( got paperwork proving that too- 2/15/18( when you started) to 4/5/19( when the city FINALIZED completion of your shoddy work) . The skylight was fine until you fixed my roof & it leaked the second time!!! I have 2 other skylights & they are within code. Your as bad at lying as you are roofing. I submitted your business to DBPR, Revdex.com, state attorney .

We have the initial payment of $2845.00. We have not collected your final payment $2845.00
We have all bank statement's and paper work to prove you a liar. You are not paid in full and you know it.
ALL the issues have been fixed. Pay us the $2845.00 you owe us. You told us you should not have to pay because you had a leak!
That's not how it works. We fixed your roof, and ceiling and you owe us $2845.00 to release leans on your home and finalize the contract.

Sounds like your employees that do your roofing also do your booksð???ð???ð???ð???I'm paid in full have receipts from you & your greenlight services to vouch for that. You all really are despicable

They replaced a new roof and since they have, the roof has leaked since day one. They Put on a new Roof.
The Brand new roof they installed has had leaks since day one. They did a rush job and did just enough to pass inspections (they failed it twice) and take the money and run. It has been a year now and they have allowed the roof to leak that know I have ceiling damage to my living room and now my upstairs bedroom. They have come numerous times with different employees and contractors of theirs and they can not figure out why it leaks but we have explained to them that it was a rush job from day one. they installed the roof in 6 hours (No roof in this community was that quick). They last time they came they used our water on the roof and let it run for over 1 1/2 and could not find the leak but all the did is waste water (Which they should be responsible for paying along with the ceiling they are now damaging) and damage the ceiling in the living room. They has gone on for so long and it feels like the JT RToofing company are really not qualified to do roofing as the last couple of times they came to check the roof, they didn't even have the common sense to put tarp on the roof so our ceiling would not continue to get damaged. 2 weeks ago they stated they would come and tarp the roof so the ceiling would not suffer any additional damage. They never showed up and you guessed it, it rained and more ceiling damage. I have noticed this is not the first complaint about JT Roofing in the reviews on the WEB as I have noticed multiple reviews on this same exact matter. I need this Roof replaced and I need the ceiling repaired and some type of compensation for the excess use of water used at my home.

Desired Outcome

We would clearly like a new roof that would not leak (Our old roof before they replaced it DID NOT leak). We would like the ceiling repaired in the living room and upstairs bedroom and this has gone on for over a year with nothing but constant frustration from the business.

We had the roof replaced and now the city has not passed the roof inspection.
After much back and forth the roof finally got replaced. Paul (One of the owners) Over promises and under delivers. That has been a constant from him. From guaranteeing he will be here to supervise the whole roof installation (He was not, I had to complain to him as the very 1st day there were issues with leaking again and they ran out of shingles for the roof) Then he got the roof done but did not set an appointment with the city to come and inspect (Again I had to complain to Paul to set this up). Now the city did inspect and it failed and I have reached out to Paul Numerous times in the last month with no response. I don't understand how these guys continue to stay in business as this is not the only complaint against these guys. Paul really seems overwhelmed at times and has shown his lack of consideration for his customers and his inability to start and finish a job completely. Again we had to clean up behind him (Trash left around, nails, damaged shrubs) Its a constant back and forth with this company and I truly believe that it left unnoticed this company will destroy many roofs out there and steal peoples money with out any type of remorse. I need this roof finished (passing inspection) so that we can finally close this terrible chapter in dealing with this company. I will also be filling a complain against their License with the DBPR as this has gone long enough. their license number is as follows #***

I need the job finished and to pass inspection! Also the inside of my home ceiling was damaged due to their terrible response time and I need resolution to that as well!!

Complete re-roofing job started Fall 2017. Owner promised to return to remediate damages and insufficiencies; but as of 3-7-18, has not.
*Company (Paul) is entirely aware of the matter.

JOB NEVER COMPLETED - HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE! Poor workmanship. No care taken with my property. Damages to my home. Empty promises. Lack of communication. Left me with excessive damages and unfinished work.

Most of the crew didn't speak English, and since there was little to no supervision on the job, we attempted to speak to the 'head guy' (who spoke a bit of English) to ensure they were clear that we wanted the roof done correctly, all damaged wood replaced, etc. (We couldn't care less if the workers were Spanish or if they were from MARS. We just wanted supervision and a satisfactory job. I do not speak Spanish; nor was it my job to supervise the workers.)

The work crew was so disrespectful toward my home and property. There was garbage and trash strewn ALL OVER my yard, driveway, top of the screen pool enclosure, etc - even half-eaten fast food burgers and ketchup on the driveway! WHO DOES THIS???? When the crew left at the end of each day, they left clothing, shoes, empty water bottles, soda cans, construction debris, roofing nails, etc. ALL OVER. Because they left tarps on my shrubs for so long, MANY shrubs died and had to be replaced. Because they left one of the two dumpsters partly on my lawn, IT also died and had to be replaced! *I had to call the dumpster company to request removal of it! (OBVIOUSLY, I'VE CLEANED UP THEIR MESS. PHOTOS AVAILABLE.)

Their workmanship included half-attached shingles, crooked shingles, soft spots where they failed to replace damaged wood, black roofing tar all over my Hardy Plank siding, broken soffits, incorrectly affixed flashing, crooked ridge vents (3 of 3), one area where there was NOTHING under shingles - I mean NOTHING! When Hurricane Irma came, those shingles were ripped off, revealing nothing but an empty HOLE! To top it all off, they DAMAGED my existing gutters, removed and lost gutter spikes, detached gutters and didn't re-attach them, NAILED my fascia and caused damaged and 'waves' (not supposed to NAILED!), and horrific damages to soffits and fascia all around my home.
(DAMAGES REMAIN.)

Prior to the hurricane, they failed to dry-in their work areas, so rainwater poured into my kitchen and laundry room - more damages for ME to pay to have fixed! (I have photos and documentation.)

JT Roofing took my million-dollar+ home and treated it like it was a piece-of-crap shanty! After repeated attempts to get Paul back out here, we finally contacted (and PAID!) an inspection company to come out and document the disaster. Paul returned and made some pathetic half-hearted attempts, but HAS NOT FIXED THE MESS YET!

To date, JT Roofing has failed to finalize the job, although Paul had repeatedly PROMISED to make it right and repair all the damages my property suffered because of their lack of due care. I can only surmise that since the hurricane hit, they've moved on to new jobs, while the money is good and people are desperate for roofs. It would be nice if they FINISHED a job for which they were contracted!

Basically, I got screwed over and left with unfinished work, multiple repairs, and damaged property at the hands of their workers and Paul! When one contracts and pays for a new roof, it is expected that the work will IMPROVE the property and add value - NOT DAMAGE IT AND COST THE HOMEOWNER MORE MONEY, TIME, AND AGGRAVATION!

*I've got photos, videos, documentation of inspectors, written statements, etc that support every assertion in this review. I'd be happy to elaborate further.

*Please note: Paul's reply to my *** review is peppered with BOLDFACED LIES. This company is a JOKE and the public should be warned!

I EXPECT THE JOB COMPLETED. I WANT MY PROPERTY RETURNED TO ORIGINAL CONDITION (SOFFITS/FASCIA THEY DAMAGED). I WANT THE DAMAGED GABLES FIXED.

*OR, THEY MAY PROVIDE A REFUND AND I'LL FIX THEIR DAMAGES AND COMPLETE THE JOB.

THIS WILL GET HANDLED, ONE WAY OR THE OTHER. AT THIS POINT, I'VE LOST FAITH IN THEM.

Desired Outcome

Since Paul's word is worthless, and for 5 MONTHS he has not returned to finish the job or make all the repairs to my property which his people damaged, I expect to be compensated so I can pay for the job to be completed. *He swore that if we paid him all but a couple thousand dollars that he'd make good on his promises and do these things. HE'S MADE NO CONTACT WITH US AND THE DEFICIENCIES REMAIN. This is UNACCEPTABLE and I expect to be made whole again, one way or another, up to and including litigation. *I plan to involve the media, in all forms, in this matter. I have serious concerns that have not been addressed and other homeowners need to have the facts before they are duped as I was.

Your roof passed multiple County Inspections.In fact Never Failed a county Inspection!!
I Think you were bothered by my men being Spanish which was ridiculous.
Your roof had to leaks during the tear off and dry in which my guys were onsite and fixed with-in 30 minutes of you calling. And you did pay for and inspection which came back with me taking 1 nail out of the facia!!And you called the city twice to inspect your roof and passed inspection's twice!!
Also we did your roof weeks before the Hurricane and you had about 5 ridge cap come off during the storm. Consider yourself lucky cause a lot of people lost their whole roof and other valuables. And guess what I still came out after the hurricane even though you hadn't paid me and repaired the 5 ft. of ridge cap .
I have pictures and inspection statements as well to prove that you are not telling the whole story here...

Apparently Paul continues his lies, so please a VERY SMALL sampling of photos of how JT Roofing left my home and my surrounding property. To this day, 4-22-18, damages remain to soffits, fascia, columns, screen enclosures, and landscape lights. WE were forced to clean-up the litter, debris, empty bottles, food containers, cigarette butts, shingle debris, plastic liners, ENDLESS roofing nails and trash that was strewn about our property. (See photos) WE were forced to replace shrubs and plants that the roofers killed. WE paid for an inspection that revealed substandard work and practices that are not aligned with a professional roofing installation. (Videos, photos, and professional statements exist to support these deficiencies.) To date, Paul nor JT Roofing has come back to fix all the damages caused to our riverfront home. We intend to move forward with additional remedies so JT Roofing will restore our property to its original pristine condition since THEIR unsupervised roofers cause damage, even to areas that had no bearing on the ROOF. (Additionally, I've filed a complaint with the supervisors of the county inspectors, as well. You can see, from the photos alone, the type of work provided by this lousy excuse for a company; and I welcome anyone to stop by and view the damages, in person.)

JT Roofing has never completed our $19,000 roofing job. Multiple LEAKS raining inside my home, causing extensive damage!
Paul has known FOR MONTHS that this re-roof was never completed. NOW I'VE GOT MULTIPLE LEAKS RAINING INTO MY HOME AND CAUSING EXTENSIVE DAMAGES TO MY RIVERFRONT HOME! Paul has made multiple promises to come back and fix the issues and has not! He promised, most recently, to be here 8/28 11-1pm, but never showed, never called, ignores our messages, and won't answer emails! In addition to this complaint, we are forced to pursue legal remedies for a refund of our money so we can pay a professional roofer to put on a roof! PLUS, WE WILL SEEK DAMAGES FOR THE RAINWATER THAT'S DAMAGED OUR HOME AND CONTENTS.

Full refund + repayment for damages caused by their shoddy and incomplete workmanship.

*NOTE: WE'RE ALSO TAKING THIS UP WITH THE PERMITTING OFFICE BECAUSE THERE'S NO WAY AN INSPECTOR PHYSICALLY LOOKED AT THE ROOF.

I'VE GOT CERTIFIED REPORTS, PHOTOS, AND PROFESSIONAL OPINIONS FROM HOME INSPECTORS, OTHER ROOFERS, ETC. TO SUPPORT MY ASSERTIONS.

*I'm also contacting the media and *** regarding this company in effort to warn other unsuspecting consumers.

Our contract has been completed. Our contract states after city inspection is passed client must pay in full.It passed final inspection twice and they still never were satisfied until they had their own home inspection done and come out and he found what was on her last complaint a list of 5 things that were fixed and completed and they still haven't paid in full.
Our company will not warranty or do anything until the*** residents pay j.t roofing in full.

Salesman made empty promises, employees always late or no showed, left my yard a disastrous mess which I went outside and cleaned up for hours picking up shingles and nails, left my gate open and my dog got out and ended up with a $250 vet bill, ended up with a $255 doctor bill from stepping on a nail because they never rolled the yard for nails, ended up with nails in tire, Nick the salesman threaten to put a lien on my house a couple of times before the roof even passed final inspection, he also threatened to sue me for three times the amount of the roof before the roof pass final inspection and before they finished what was in the contract, owner seemed nice but then didn't follow through on making sure that job was done and left this customer completely dissatisfied with their whole business and professionalism. Would never recommend them to anyone. Don't know how they still have a business license with all the different people who came out to my house and none of them seem to know what the heck they were doing with the exception of the first crew who laid the shingles on. Do not use this company as you will definitely regret it.

there is no empty promises,there is a contract that says what is to be done and it was.it has passed inspection..me James P and my wife met with her, she had complaint about 1 piece of J that We Did Not install needed a screw. And a gutter had a dent, so we did replace. And a couple piece of aluminum which we ourselves was going to pick up but she stated she was giving to her neighbor. She contacted the building dept and the State Licensing Board. which I spoke to trying to resolve this woman's concerns but she stated she would Not allow anyone back on her property that she has an attorney. We all have tried to No prevail she will not work with us to take care of her concerns again. As far as her dog getting sick She herself Purchased the donuts and left them sitting outside Know the men were working outside she let her dog outside which then got into the donuts she left sitting. But to keep problems we paid the vet bill. and the magnet was run over her property 3 different times. she then called saying she stepped on Nail. Each time we have tried to collect remaining amount owed she has something new happen. We are still willing to do what it takes to make her happy if she allows us on property and she has remainder of the money owed for the work that has been completed.
